The Rise of the Tea Party

tea-party-revolutionThe Tea (Taxed Enough Already) movement has been defined as populist, conservative, and libertarian in tone. It is a movement diverse in leadership and organization but united in its defense of liberty and the constitution. Its members are technologically savvy and able to mobilize in a moments notice. It is anti-elitist, anti-big government, and anti-big business.

St Louis Celebrates Tea Party Anniversary – With a Tea Party!

teaparties-independence-dayDespite the date conflicting with Missouri Lincoln days, a 2nd Amendment Rally, and an event with State Rep Icet, St Louis Tea Party Coalition organizers staged an event at the St Louis Riverfront under the Gateway Arch, to commemorate and celebrate the one year anniversary of the very first Tea Party, at the very site where it all began.

Breaking Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment: The Tea Party Influence in the 2010 Congressional Elections

Ronald_Reagan___2In what normally would be a quiet primary season in red Congressional districts across the country, a few Republican candidates find themselves under a microscope when they expected to coast to an easy primary win. While some claim it’s a violation of Ronald Reagan’s 11th commandment, tea party conservatives sin, throwing out the 11th commandment, to ensure the most Constitutional solid candidate gets the party nomination.

Passion over Palin

Sarah PalinNow the Republican Party has climbed aboard the “Get Palin” train. Why? The GOP is scared witless that Palin will be the first presidential candidate of the Tea Party in America. If that should happen, she will split the republican electorate, take a slew of votes away from the GOP candidate, and, most likely, insure another victory for the Democrats. However, Palin’s possible Tea Party candidacy would suddenly boost the power of those members of the GOP electorate who subscribe to the Tea Party’s conservative philosophy.

Some Thoughts on the Tea Party Movement

teaparties-movementI’ve been encouraged that the Tea Party movement is growing and becoming better organized. Notes from the Underground: 9/12 in DC

The Tea Party movement has its roots in the great Silent Majority of this nation. The crowd was almost eerily quiet and well behaved. These are not people who have protested much of anything during their entire lives and they don’t (yet) really know how to do it. These people weren’t professionally organized and bused to the event, they were drawn there by their own personal convictions.

Barack Hussein Obama is a committed Marxist

mj1On Nov. 5, 2008On Nov. 5, 2008, Americans woke up to a very real Marxist coup — although most didn’t realize it. I sat down and cried while a huge crowd gathered and were cheering. I intuitively knew something was very wrong. After watching Barack Hussein Obama aggressively pursue his agenda as president, I now understand why.

Nation’s Largest “Tea Party” Protest Held Under St Louis Arch

100_07561Dick Armey recently sent out a modest newsletter:
“Last week you may have seen or perhaps heard about CNBC’s Rick Santelli and his report from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, ground zero for American capitalism and free market commerce, where he called for a “Taxpayer Tea Party” in the wake of efforts to enact a new, multi-billion dollar taxpayer funded housing bailout.
If you are like me, you stood up and cheered.
