The US House of Representatives passed a Health Care Bill over the weekend that will never see the light of day. Yes, it will go to the US Senate — and that is as far as the House bill will go. The Senate Health Care bill will be a different animal, entirely.

Public Option must go. Public Option will not be a part of a Senate Health Care bill. That is a good thing. An even better thing would be for there to be no Health Care Bill at all!

Now, I am just an ole country boy, with limited book learning, but even I know that Americans don’t want the monstrosity the US House was congratulating itself on passing last Saturday.

I could not help but think to myself, as I watched them preen and parade their pride before America that many of the Democrats had just committed political suicide. Their façade of smiles and backslapping will crumble soon, especially when they get home for the holidays and their spurned, and burned, constituents begin to “button-hole” them and explain to them why they can expect this to be their last term in the Congress. And that, too, will be a good thing.

NEXT November the American voters will have their say officially and it is going to be a democrat massacre at the polls.

Why is it so difficult for the democrats to understand that Americans would have settled for insurance coverage for those unable to afford it? THAT we could do. It would be a strain but we could manage to pay for it. What Americans do not want is Universal Healthcare with a trillion and a half dollar price tag, which we cannot pay for!

Americans also do not want the so-called public option. Americans do not want anybody, or anything, or any entity, between them and their doctor! Period! When the government announces IT will be the gatekeeper between all Americans and their sacred relationship with their personal physician, the national ire began rising.

Allow me to give you an example of what Americans fear. Today I was experiencing a problem with my eyes. I picked up the phone and dialed my doctor’s office and explained the symptoms. I asked when I could see the doctor. The receptionist asked how long it would take me to drive to the office. I replied: “5 or 6 minutes.” The receptionist then directed me to “come on.” I was seen and treated in short order and was back home in no time. Do you really, REALLY, think Socialized Medicine will provide that sort of medical service? This relationship with one’s doctor will be destroyed by Socialized Medicine… and THAT is what Americans fear!

Today, Americans are finally paying attention to the run-away, rogue, Congress in Washington. Not just conservative Americans, either. Our congress is out of control and is in desperate need of being reined in. The way we rein in a congress is by tossing out as many offending Congresspersons and Senators as we possible can. Unfortunately, in America, we have no apparatus for a vote of “no confidence” with which we could dissolve the Congress and hold new elections. As a result we must wait until November of 2010 to clean the House AND the Senate!

Many months ago this scribe told you the problem with the democrats is — every time they come to power they overreach. EVERY TIME. They have not disappointed. This past weekend the democrats stayed true to their history and they overreached again… BIG TIME. And it will cost them BIG TIME!

That thing that could not happen HAS, indeed, happened in America.

Back in the 18th century, some very independent folks living along the eastern seaboard of the North American continent decided they wanted to be free. They decided they did not want a sovereign of any kind, a king, a czar, an emperor, or ANY kind of sovereign, to rule over them.
So they challenged a world super power and fought a long, grueling, war for independence and, against all odds, they won! They set themselves up a government called a democratic republic. They even wrote into their laws that no citizen of their country could have a title. There would be no royalty, in this country; there would be no ruling class in this country. This country would be ruled over by its people!

So – how did that work out? Pretty good, actually… up ‘til fairly recently, that is.

So, what happened? Socialism happened. Back in the 1930’s the FDR Administration ushered socialism into America. He held the door open wide. Some say that FDR, himself, was not a socialist but was willing to TRY socialism in order to advance his political career. However, he was surrounded by socialist in the White House and some say even his wife was a socialist.

FDR’s New Deal was a socialist program. There can be no denying it. It did not bring the depression to an end; in fact, looking back on it today we can see how it prolonged The Great Depression rather than shortening it and restoring the American economy. Truth be told, it was the Second World War that ended the depression in America. But, America’s flirtation with socialism had begun. One political party seemed to really like those socialist ideas and the power of a strong central government over the lives of their fellow citizens, especially if they happened to fill those positions in which they, themselves, could wield that power. Oh, did I mention, FDR was a Democrat?

Then in the 1960’s President Lyndon Johnson introduced America to something called “The Great Society.” More socialism was introduced to the American people. The US government ballooned in size and power. And something else showed up in America for the first time — something very ugly. It was cultural Marxism. That is employing Marxist thought into the media, art, theatre, film, and other cultural institutions in a society. And, boy, did they ever! It has become so inter-twined in American society today that it is accepted as the norm.

You probably know Cultural Marxism as most American do. Today we refer to it as “Political Correctness.” The practice of political correctness is nothing more than employing Marxist thought. William S. Lind is reported to have said: “Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back not to the 1960s and the hippies and the peace movement, but back to World War I. If we compare the basic tenets of Political Correctness with classical Marxism the parallels are very obvious.” Lind goes on to say that American citizens are “afraid of using the wrong word, a word denounced as offensive or insensitive, or racist, sexist, or homophobic.” He says that such changes can be attributed to the influence of cultural Marxists.

All of this was an expansion of socialism now mixed with outright Marxism and it occurred in the 1960’s under the Johnson administration. Oh, need I remind you that LBJ was a democrat?

Now, here we are today, with Barack Obama in the White House and we are starring down the barrel of another gigantic expansion of socialism in America. Socialized Medicine. I KNOW they don’t like us using that term – socialized Medicine, but THAT, dear reader, is exactly what it is! Changing the name to something like “Universal Healthcare” or “public option insurance” is political correctness and we have just learned that political correctness in nothing more that Marxism.

Since we have begun shucking this particular ear of corn, let us shuck it further: Socialism is nothing more than communism. It is not quite as bold as full-blown communism. It is stealthier than full-blown communism. A better word, I think is “sneakier.” It is socialism until it has a nation by the throat then it becomes known by its real name – COMMUNISM!

As a soldier in the US Army in the 1950’s and 1960’s I was trained to fight communism. Now I am forced to watch it take away my country, right before my eyes and if I raise my voice in protest I am shouted down as another “right-wing nut!”

The thing I want you to understand, as my readers, is this: In my opinion, American is not only becoming a socialist nation, America is becoming a communist nation. Our current government in the Congress and in the White House is leading America into the darkness from which it will not, cannot emerge. Socialism/communism rots the soul of a nation and utterly destroys it. It is a hard truth. It is a truth we had better deal with and very quickly. Much damage has been done and even if we could turn America around, on a dime today, it will be generations before we can ever claim a democratic republic again as our chosen form of government. I believe it to be that bad today.

Before I forget, I just want to be sure you understand that Barack Obama is a democrat as are the leaders in the Congress of the United States. Do I detect a trend here? You might want to consider that fact, long and hard, over the next year as we prepare to go to the polls in the 2010 elections.
If we are to save America we must begin NOW! Do not deceive yourselves, it will be a long bitter battle, and it may well end in a divided country. As it stands today the socialists and the communists have the upper hand. I am convinced that the battle to reclaim America for democratic republic she was meant to be will be lead by the Christian Conservatives. The disaffected from the left will slowly join the ranks of the “Save America” movement over time.
We must blunt the socialist/communists as best we can, these days, and the first target must be the Socialized Medicine Bill and the Cap and Trade Bill now before the current socialist dominated Congress. Neither must be allowed to pass.

The movement to Save America must begin NOW!

Britain.

Linda O’Boyle

When Linda O’Boyle, 64, was diagnosed with cancer, she decided to pay for additional, private treatment out of pocket, hoping to prolong her life. O’Boyle was told that a medication not provided by NHS would increase her chances of fighting the disease. After deciding to use her savings to pay for these outside medications, NHS withdrew their services, including chemotherapy because current government laws ban a patient from combining public and private healthcare. O’Boyle passed away March 26, 2008.

Katie Hilliard

Katie Hilliard, 24, asked to be given a smear test twice, and was refused because she was “too young.” Katie now has cervical cancer, and it has spread to her lymph nodes and lungs. Doctors have given her 11 months to two years to live.

Debbie Hirsts

Debbie Hirsts, 57, was denied access by the NHS to a drug that would have slowed the progression of her breast cancer. With her oncologist’s support, Debbie decided to raise the $120,000 for the medicine herself. The situation changed in December 2007, when Debbie’s doctor told her the NHS would no longer allow her to subsidize the medication. If Debbie decided to pay for the medicine out-of-pocket, she would then need pay for all of her cancer treatments, which she could not afford, and would no longer receive free health benefits from the NHS.

Mark Cannon

Mark Cannon, 30, died eight and a half weeks after being admitted to the hospital with a broken leg. He was clearly distressed and in pain, but he had to wait three days to see the pain team. His father Allan, from Barton Turf, has been campaigning with Mencap to raise awareness of the ingrained discrimination he claims to have encountered from NHS staff towards his son, who had severe learning difficulties and could manage very little speech.

Alan Francis

Alan Francis, a 68-year-old leukaemia patient, was denied a life-saving bone marrow operation by the Health Commission Wales (HCW). The HCW would have refused to fund the operation, which would have entailed taking the marrow from the donor in Australia and flying it to the

UK.

Lynda Coghill

Lynda Coghill, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 39. At an appointment after surgery and radiation, she told her oncologist she was still bleeding. He did a quick exam, announced she had a new tumor, and said bluntly: “Your chances are slim to none.” He told her to wait a few weeks for the results of a biopsy, then left to treat a patient down the hall. “I looked at the nurse in sheer disbelief,” Ms. Coghill says. “The doctor had proceeded to tell me, in less than 30 seconds, that I was going to die.” She cried for days, unable to eat or sleep. She and her husband planned her funeral. At last, she contacted the sympathetic nurse from the doctor’s office and persuaded her to call for an “unofficial” biopsy report. The tumor was benign. Eight years later, Ms. Coghill remains angry about having been treated “like a numbered object on an assembly line.”

Canada.

David Malleau

David Malleau, a 44 year-old truck driver suffered a devastating car accident in 2004 that forced doctors at Hamilton General Hospital to remove a fist-sized piece of bone from his skull to relieve pressure on his brain. Once the swelling subsided and he was ready for surgery in March 2005, Malleau was sent home and placed on a waiting list. Three months passed. Then six. He waited at home, a prisoner unable to leave the house for fear something would hit the exposed side of his brain – for him a potentially fatal incident. In the end, it took nearly a year before he could get skull replacement surgery.

Jordan Johanson

Jordan Johanson, 18, died at Rockyview Hospital in late March. He died following a 12-hour wait for surgery on his appendix. Darcy Johanson, the boy’s father, said “Young kids shouldn’t be dying like this. If something can be done to fix it, they should get on with it.”

Lindsay McCreith

Lindsay McCreith, 66, was told he had a brain tumor but that he would have to wait four and a half months to obtain an MRI to rule out the possibility that it was cancerous. Unwilling to risk the progression of what might be cancer, Mr. McCreith obtained an MRI in Buffalo, which revealed the tumor was malignant. Even with this diagnosis in hand, the Ontario system still refused to provide timely treatment, so Mr. McCreith had surgery in Buffalo to remove the cancerous brain tumor in March, 2006. In Ontario, Mr. McCreith would have waited eight months for surgery, according to his family doctor. Eight months is enough time for a cancer to worsen, spread and progress to an irreversible stage. Had Mr. McCreith not paid $26,600 for immediate care, he might be dead today.

Sheila Nunn

Sheila Nunn, a Kitchener woman suffering seizures, was told by her doctor that she urgently needed an MRI scan. She was also told she would have to wait three months to have it done locally. Nunn, who had been suffering blackouts, memory loss, confusion and seizures for two months, decided to take action: She paid $1,100 to have the MRI scan done in Michigan.

Those in support of socialized medicine keep telling us that there’s no rationing of services. Evidently, they’ve never heard the stories of these people who have lived it.

Hey government wonks! Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining!

Back in “the day” there was an expression that went something like this: “When you can fake sincerity, then you’ve really got it made!”

I think of this expression and the absolute truth it represents every time I hear that Obama is making, or is about to make, a speech. Well – truth be told — I have NEVER heard Obama make a speech. No lie. The man hasn’t a thing to say that I want to hear — other than “I resign.”

I have to admit – he IS one of the all time great ones. I mean, it is really difficult to look another person in the eye and lie through your teeth, but Obama has mastered that skill. Combine that with faked sincerity and “the gullible” of America will stampede just to get in line to hear his lies. And do not DARE to call him a liar! Why that is pure blasphemy! In other words do not dare to speak the truth about all the glib promises he is making especially about socialized medicine in America.

When you step back and survey the way the country is divided over ObamaCare you quickly see the folks supporting Obama are the folks who want, oh so badly, to be made fools of. You can point out the truth to those people all day long, until you are blue in the face, and it will do no good. They have made up their minds. They will follow the man in the Oval Office right off the cliff of looming socialism. They resemble, for all the world, the followers of Jim Jones as they guzzle down Obama’s kool-aid.

Obama’s promises cannot be kept. It is IMPOSSIBLE. He cannot supply healthcare for everyone in America without raising your taxes and rationing healthcare at the same time. Even the government agencies charged with checking such things say it is impossible. Yet the “true believers” kneel at Obama’s feet and worship as they chant, “Yes, we can! Yes, we can!”

Look, The US is B R O K E! We are W I T H O U T F U N D S! We are, temporarily, financially, embarrassed. Call it what you will, the fact is we cannot afford ObamaCare. We cannot dredge up the money it will take to pay for it – PERIOD!

Try a little experiment. Next Friday and/or Saturday evening pay a visit to the Emergency Department of your local hospital. Look at the crowds waiting for medical help. Take note of who those people waiting are. They are being treated at no cost to them. You and I, the folks with insurance, pay for them as the cost is spread out over my hospital bill and yours when we receive medical treatment at that facility.

The crowds at some ER departments have been so large the hospitals have been forced to close that department down completely.

Now, just imagine the size of the crowds awaiting treatment under ObamaCare when there is no “apparent” cost to the recipient of those services. There is NO WAY the existing hospital staff will be able to handle those crowds. SOMEBODY is going to be turned away, or given a number and told to report back in a week, or a month, or six weeks, or even a year. THAT is called healthcare RATIONING! It is not just a possibility — it is a certainty!

And another thing: Where are all the doctors and nurses coming from to man those ER departments and where are the funds coming from to build the new hospitals and clinics that absolutely will be required to handle the hugely increased demand for free healthcare? Where? Some reports say we can expect as many as 50 million new patients increasing the drain on our existing facilities and the few primary care doctors we now have. Considering the fact that we are already experiencing a shortage of primary care doctors today, many, many, more primary care doctors are going to be needed almost overnight. Where are they coming from? WHERE?

When considering that nearly half of America favors ObamaCare I must tell you that leads me to believe that we need some sort of National Mental Healthcare Program – and that’s for certain. Sane people don’t act this way. Sane people do not accept a continuing flow of lies from anyone without question.

“Something for nothing” is the most welcome promise of all and really good con men know that. They use it all the time.  Obama is no different.  He is making the same empty promise with his promise of free healthcare for all without costing the recipient anything. There it is:  “Something for Nothing.”

There is no doubt in my mind that before the year 2009 is ended the US will have some sort of Socialized Medicine. It is the price we will pay for electing the socialists of the Democratic Party to power. Already, in barely seven months, the democrats have raped, and sacked, and looted our country. They have bankrupted the treasury and caused every man, woman, and child, now alive in the US, to bear the burden of some $40,000.00 in debt to the US government. And that is BEFORE they slap us with Socialized Medicine!

The plain truth is, dear reader, if America is to survive the damage done by the democrats we must begin at the ballot box in 2010. We must vote out every democrat seeking re-election and those seeking office for the first time must be turned away. The very survival of the USA depends upon it.
