Obama is in TROUBLE. Big Trouble. He has managed to “P.O.” the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, AND the Tea Party. And – if the polls are to be believed—he has, somehow, managed to tick off a slew of Independent voters, as well. He has done it before reaching the mid-point of his term in office.

Did we not warn the man is a narcissist? Yes, we did! We were scorned and ridiculed for daring to speak what was obvious to anyone except those who were, and are, willfully blind to the truth.

So, here we go again, issuing a warning to the leftists in America: You ain’t seen nothing yet! As Obama triangulates toward the middle (as per Bill Clinton) you may need professional help with your collective blood pressure.

Americans spoke last month and they declared they do not like the course Obama has set for this country. The voters told the US government they would not stand for it and sent a new batch of Congresspersons and Senators to Washington to put a stop to it. It was a message writ large across the face of the Obama Regime. ENOUGH! No More! We intend to stop America’s race toward socialism, which has been so enthusiastically led by Obama and the liberal-socialists in the Congress.

Americans have a natural in-born hatred for tyranny in any form. When we find it in our own government, we rip it out.

The purge of the Congress began last month. It was only phase one of the American endeavors to take back America from those who would fundamentally change America into some sort of socialist dung heap.

The second phase has begun. The gelding of the socialist movement within the American government will be the prime goal over the next two years. It will not be easy. They have entrenched themselves and they are dug-in deep.

So, it follows that phase three will be the completion of the purge of the remaining progressives and socialists in the Congress along with those in the White House. They must be rooted out and identified, publicly, so the American electorate has a face for the socialist movement in their government. The end result will be the removal of the anti-American socialist cancer within the American governing body. That is set to occur in November of 2012.

Conservatives all over this nation are burning the midnight oil devising plans of action that will save the constitutional republic of America from her domestic enemies.

I should be clear to all Americans now that the most effective people in Washington for the Republican Party are: Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. For certain, it is crystal clear to all Americans exactly what the liberal-socialists in the Democratic Party have been up to over the past four years.

To a growing majority of Americans from both left and the right, it is now clear that they could not care less what the American people want. They have demonstrated, clearly, the only thing they have any interest in is changing America — not for the better — but for the worst. We intend to turn the lights back on in that “Shining City on A Hill” the lights the democrat liberal-socialists so unceremoniously outed when they took the reins of power in 2006.

We cannot expect the Democrats to take this lying down. They will come at us, tooth and claw. The next two years will be spent by the democrats shoring up their base, which is a collection of unions, minority groups, special interest groups, socialists, progressives, and the few unenlightened liberals who, for some reason, have yet to understand, or accept, that Obama is at the head of the movement to strip America of its superpower status and force America from its leadership position among the nations of the world.

It would seem that the famous, or infamous, “liberal guilt” has spawned a party-wide inferiority complex among the democrats. They fail to understand their sackcloth and ashes apologies for previous actions of their own country is not seen as a courageous act on their part, but is rather interpreted as show of weakness by America’s enemies. It is a perceived weakness they will most certainly take advantage of and may even result in the loss of even more American lives around the globe as well as right here within our own borders.

It has become clear over the past couple of decades, or so, that our so-called allies in Europe have little, if any, understanding of the American people – not the American government – the American people. The do not seem to grasp that the American people have realized their mistake in electing Obama to the Presidency and handing over legislative power to the liberal-socialists of the Democratic Party. Americans are compelled, not just because they have the right, but because they have a duty, to right their government when it becomes as derailed as it so obviously is today. The majority of Americans now know the derailment was caused by the efforts of the Obama Regime and the Democrat Party controlled Congress. They will not forget it by November of 2012 and they will go to the polls and vote to save America by removing from office those they have determined to be the culprits of America’s demise into mediocrity.

When given a choice between saving the Obama Regime or saving America, my money is on Americans rising to the challenge, as we always have in the past, and saving this last best hope for the world – America.

The political and religious “identity” of Barak Obama is a contentious and much debated topic these days.  Claims of, “He’s a Muslim,” and “ he’s a socialist,” abound.   The left, as well as the MSM are able to field these claims, and contradict them, at least partially.  They are able to do this because he’s neither of these things.

Religion: While Obama may have a soft spot for Islam, he sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for over 20 years.  While Wright’s teachings are radical, they are clearly not Islamic.  Like the rest of us, the radical wing of Islam would cut his head off, unless he converted.

It is well documented that he attended an Islamic school while he lived in Indonesia.  That, in and of itself, does not mean that he is a Muslim, but unlike other Presidents, he has a depth of knowledge into Islam that unparalleled.  That might bias him, and blind him to the potential dangers that we face.  Either way, he does not appear to be Muslim, or, for that matter, Christian (or at least any Christianity with which we would be familiar).

Politics: You can call Obama a socialist.  It seems to fit his model of wealth redistribution rather nicely.  You might also call him a fascist, as his tampering in the banking, auto, and health care industries closely matches the actions of Mussolini and Hitler, for example, “Corporatism.”  You can also call him a “progressive,” as they believed that the state, run by an “intellectual” elite, can/should wield power to shape society into something more equitable and structured.  The common threads between all three are statism and elitism.  The idea that the state has primacy over all human activity seems a common thread though all of Obama’s policies.   And, of course, the idea of elitism; that a small group of “really smart people that know way better than you,” have the right and obligation to instruct everyone on how to live is central to any totalitarian view.

Some will say that the political theories and backgrounds conflict.  They do… and they don’t.  While that might come off as a contradictory statement, there is a case for stating it.  To draw the comparisons and contrasts, a brief look at history is required.

During the mid to late 19^th century, new political ideologies were emerging.  Communism and socialism were taking root in Europe, and to a lesser degree, her in the US as well.  Also, the progressive movement was emerging in the US.  The leading minds of these movements were aware of each other, and followed each other’s writings and actions closely.  It is safe to assume that they influenced each other.

When it became apparent that Europe was going to explode into war (WWI), there was much excitement among the socialists/communists.  They had been predicting that if war came, the proletariat would rise, and there would be a vast, international communist revolution.  They thought that under the stress, death, and deprivation that would come with a war, that the people would grow weary with their governments and economic systems, and “throw off their oppressors.”

It didn’t happen.  With the exception of Russia, there were no successful communist revolutions.  Communists certainly did make a nuisance of themselves, but the established order in the West held.  More surprising was the fact that many socialists were patriotic and supported their nations in the war.

This is a crucial point in history for the socialist movement, as schisms were created by their differing reactions and ideas about the failure of the international revolution.   The hard-core communists decided to use the USSR as a “base” from which to spread communism throughout the world.  A smaller group of communists in Germany decided to examine what caused the failure of the international.  Working from the “Frankfort School,” they tagged Western Culture as the culprit.  Since Western Culture promoted patriotism, individualism, religious faith, capitalism, and self-reliance, they argued, communism couldn’t take root.  Their mission, therefore, was to find ways to negate Western Culture, and allow communism to take over.  We’ll get back to the Cultural Marxists in a bit.

However, it doesn’t end there.  There was yet another wing.  Some socialists, particularly Mussolini, decided that rather than reject national pride and western culture, that they would embrace it and use it to justify their socialism.  The terms, “National Socialism and totalitarianism,” were, if memory serves, coined by Mussolini.  Since the international revolution failed, he postulated that they could be done in single nations instead-hence, National Socialism.  He proved that assumption in his takeover of Italy.  Franco (of Spain) and Hitler followed suit.

The fascists, you see, were socialists.  They used socialist rhetoric and policies.  While they didn’t take over the means of production, they controlled it completely via regulation.  They did redistribute wealth.  They did tax heavily.  They did institute massive levels of government intervention; like heavy regulation of industry, gun control, socialized medicine, and so on.  They simply used the individual cultures and histories of their nations as a “wrapper” for their policies, corrupting the culture to serve their ends.  Even Hitler himself suggested that the Nazis and the Bolsheviks had more in common than what separated them.  He simply saw them as a competing ideology, NOT an antithetical one.  From the opposite perspective, Lenin was said to lament the “loss” of Mussolini, as early in his career, Mussolini was a powerful and well thought of advocate of socialism.

At this point, it is also important to note that there was no “pure” versions of either communism or fascism.  In each nation or movement, there were wide variations in doctrine and application.  For example, fascist Italy did not rely on antisemitism to forward it’s goals.  While Mussolini wanted to restore an “Roman Empire,” Hitler espoused the superiority of the “Aryan Race.”  All had variations, just as Leninism was different from Stalinism.

Meanwhile, the progressives continued to grow in strength in the US as well.  While they never seemed to gain a doctrinal type of theory or organization, they did press foreword with all sorts of governmental controls, such as eugenics (forced sterilization), increased government control over banking, labor, industry, and so on.  Many prominent progressives were also were great admirers of both Mussolini and Hitler (until Hitler’s anti-Semitism became too inconvenient to ignore).  In turn, the Nazis took some pages out of the progressive’s playbook in terms of media manipulation and eugenics.

So, we see that the Socialists and fascists are not antithetical, but “brothers.”  They were separated by their differing opinions on how to spread socialism.  Progressivism was a cousin, or at least a fellow traveler of Socialism and fascism.  They all knew about each other, often spoke kindly of each other, and seem to have “cross pollinated” each other’s ideas.

But what happened to the Cultural Marxists?  They were booted from Germany when Hitler came to power, and they migrated to here, eventually settling at Columbia University, where they continued their work.  They proposed a “long march through the institutions” in order to destroy western culture.  They made good on that idea, and now, education, media, law, and even theology have all been “infected” with cultural Marxism.  Here is an excerpt from an article that I quoted in a previous post on Cultural Marxism.

The Frankfurt School again departed from orthodox Marxism, which argued that all of history was determined by who owned the means of production. Instead, they said history was determined by which groups, defined as men, women, races, religions, etc., had power or “dominance” over other groups. Certain groups, especially white males, were labeled “oppressors,” while other groups were defined as “victims.” Victims were automatically good, oppressors bad, just by what group they came from, regardless of individual behavior.

Does that sound familiar?  Or what about this?

Marcuse also widened the Frankfurt School’s intellectual work. In the early 1930s, Horkheimer had left open the question of who would replace the working class as the agent of Marxist revolution. In the 1950s, Marcuse answered the question, saying it would be a coalition of students, blacks, feminist women and homosexuals – the core of the student rebellion of the 1960s, and the sacred “victims groups” of political correctness today. Marcuse further took one of political correctness’s favorite words, “tolerance,” and gave it a new meaning. He defined “liberating tolerance” as tolerance for all ideas and movements coming from the left, and intolerance for all ideas and movements coming from the right. When you hear the cultural Marxists today call for “tolerance,” they mean Marcuse’s “liberating tolerance” (just as when they call for “diversity,” they mean uniformity of belief in their ideology).

The student rebellion of the 1960s, driven largely by opposition to the draft for the Vietnam War, gave Marcuse a historic opportunity. As perhaps its most famous “guru,” he injected the Frankfurt School’s cultural Marxism into the baby boom generation. Of course, they did not understand what it really was. As was true from the Institute’s beginning, Marcuse and the few other people “in the know” did not advertise that political correctness and multi-culturalism were a form of Marxism. But the effect was devastating: a whole generation of Americans, especially the university-educated elite, absorbed cultural Marxism as their own, accepting a poisonous ideology that sought to destroy America’s traditional culture and Christian faith. That generation, which runs every elite institution in America, now wages a ceaseless war on all traditional beliefs and institutions. They have largely won that war. Most of America’s traditional culture lies in ruins.

I would say that this is a correct assessment.

Needless to say, Cultural Marxism has infected all of our institutions.  When Obama said he associated with the “radical professors,” he was being steeped in Cultural Marxism.  The idea that it is somehow “unfair” that the US is so powerful and prosperous is part of that equation.  Think about many of Obama’s policies and actions, and you will see Cultural Marxism.

So, as a “progressive,” Obama stands on an intellectual base that has as its foundation, elements of fascism and Marxism.  Then, it’s finished off with a thick coat of Cultural Marxism.  It is safe to say that he is a fascist, socialist, and a “progressive.”  While none are exclusive, all are part of the foundation of his beliefs; and therefore, his actions.

America has now had the opportunity to see what a socialist government can do to America. We have seen the current US government — made up of Socialists, Marxists, Communists, Progressives, and a mere sprinkling of real Democrats — nearly cause the collapse of the greatest nation ever to grace the globe. In a matter of months they brought America to its knees in humiliation before the world. They managed to do what all of America’s enemies have never been able to do. America nearly capitulated.

But, thanks to the old moss-backed conservatives in the hinterlands of the nation continuously shouting the alarm and rallying the apathetic citizenry, Americans found their spine and during the past couple of months they have been rousing their fellow Americans, lovers of freedom, to fight back. The battle was joined and those conservatives who would not bow, who would not surrender the freedom, the liberty, our forefathers fought, bled, and died to preserve for us, have managed to fight the rogue government with a vigor they have not seen in a VERY long time. And we must keep it up!

Much has yet to be done to roll back as much of the government intrusion into our daily lives as we possibly can. Much has yet to be done to repair the damage to the democratic representative republic done by the socialists in Washington. If we are to prevail completely, we have no time to lose. We must begin reconstruction immediately.

The most important election in the history of the United States is coming up in November of 2010. Do not be surprised if the socialist government of the United States makes a massive effort to stop the elections scheduled for November of 2010. There ARE ways to do it and I expect them to try anything they can to remain in power.

Under Article one, Section four, Clause one, of the US Constitution, the Congress has broad authority to postpone elections in the event of a national emergency situation. DO NOT KID YOURSELF: The US Congress DOES have, by statute, the power to “postpone” the elections scheduled for November 2010. The Supreme Court has already ruled on that power.

Think about it. In this era of terrorist attacks and with the national economy on the ropes, how difficult would it be to FIND a national emergency, or… God forbid… create one, in order to declare a national emergency and “postpone” the elections. For an interesting read on this question go: HERE.

We must not be deterred. We must demand that free elections in the United States be allowed to happen in November of 2010 — and — WE must be prepared to go to the polls in great WAVES of voters fueled with righteous indignation at the way our democratic representative republic has been shoved aside by a power hungry leftist elite bent on paving the way for the United States to join in a one world government, or global governance.

Some are saying the Democratic Party is worried because their own polling is showing they could lose 30 seats in the House of Representatives TODAY!

With 60% of the electorate against the healthcare bill the socialists in Congress are determined to pass into law OVER our protestations, is there any question the democrats stand to lose many more than 30 seats in the House? Is this impetus enough for the incumbents to begin thinking of some way to postpone the inevitable?

The American electorate has begun to stir. The sleeping tiger is twitching, and when fully awake, its roar is devastating.
Many months ago, I wrote that the one thing the democrats could be counted on to do was “overreach.” NOW you see what I meant. They cannot help themselves. Their lust for power is overwhelming and they are slaves to it as much as any drug addict is a slave to the drug of his/her choice. They train much of their young lives in our leftist universities to “Make a Difference” and they emerge as the “best and the brightest” believing their own propaganda and they make it their life’s work to SAVE us from ourselves by running our lives for us from the cradle to the grave. After all, THEY are smarter they we. THEY know what is good for us and what is not. How dare we question their right to dictate our lives?

They become socialists/communists but they refer to themselves as communist party members have for decades: “PROGRESSIVES.”
And they have control of the US Government from the White House to both houses of the Congress. This must change or the United States cannot survive.

We conservatives must work as we have never worked before to re-claim our country. Our national legislature must, once again, truly be representative as it was meant to be.

We have roughly one year to save the republic.

Those in charge in Washington can already see the handwriting on the wall. They know they have only until next November to get their way with their socialist ideas. They will be working furiously during the next eleven months, or so, to ram through the Congress as much of their program as they possibly can. It will be up to conservatives to stop them, to bottle them up, to confuse their plans, until we can vote them out of office next November.

These are perilous times for the republic. Once made aware of the danger, my expectation is that Americans will rise to the occasion as we always have when our nation is in peril.

That Southern Gentleman, planter, Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army and first President of the United States of America, George Washington, once said: “Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” President Washington also said: “The time is near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves.”

So, what is it to be fellow Americans — free men or slaves? If we are to be free men –  we have one year to secure our freedom. Just one year.

I have written thousands of commentaries during my career as a broadcast journalist, reporter, and broadcast commentator. This one, however, was painful to write. It was akin to writing the epitaph for a dearly beloved friend now deceased. Read on and you will understand.

Last April, while addressing a small group, in Paris, France, Howard Dean is reported to have said the contest between Socialism and Capitalism in America is over. He declared that Americans have decided to have BOTH! There is video of his speech in which he made this declaration available for you all over the Internet. In fact, here is a link to one such location: SOURCE.

Dean is reported to have said: ” Capitalism is always going to be with us because capitalism represents part of human nature. But the other part of human nature is communitarianism. The debate for the new generation is instead of capitalism or socialism, is we’re going to have both and then which proportion of each should we have in order to make this all work.”

The problem, Dr. Dean, is… it WON’T WORK!

The democrat/socialists in charge of America these days simply will not accept, or, they already know and will not admit it, or — they are just too dumb to grasp the intricacies of socialism and therefore they cannot conceive of it’s inability to co-exist with capitalism.

Look. Socialism is a “bully.” It cannot co-exist with Capitalism because it thirsts for power with an insatiable thirst. It will devour capitalism until capitalism no longer exists, thus a nation ends up, not as a socialists nation, as the socialists/democrats would have you believe, but as a communist nation. Socialism is only a stepping-stone, a forerunner, as we have said before, to communism.

As of today, America is a socialist nation well on its way to becoming a godless communist nation. The people who pull the strings from behind the curtain already know this. A few more thoughtful Americans know this. But, ignorance is having a field day in America these days. If you doubt it, I offer as evidence — the election of Obama.

Ignorance insured the election of Barack Obama to the Presidency of the United States. Smart, intelligent, people, people who saw through Obama’s facade, did not vote for him. Unfortunately, with our public education system run by the government, the current electorate in America is, quite likely, the dumbest in the history of this nation.

Look, America was not founded for dumb people. No democracy can long endure when its people are dumb. Why? The answer is simple — because those dumb people will invariably vote for the candidate offering them “something for nothing.” Intelligent people know there is no such thing as “something for nothing.” But, when America’s public education system is dumbing down the populace it allows one political philosophy to gain power — and — it ensures the hold on power by the political party, which adheres to that philosophy. Of course, that means democracy in America is doomed.

What I have just described to you is exactly what has happened in America. And it is going to happen again in 2012 unless the intelligent among us can find a way to prevent the human tidal wave of ignorant voters sure to converge on the ballot boxes in 2012 to “save THEIR President.”

In the quote above Dr. Dean says: ” But the other part of human nature is communitarianism.” Ok. So what is communitarianism? The short answer — communism. And that is where America is headed — as straight as a Martin to a gourd.
I honestly don’t know what it will take to get Americans to understand: Socialism is only a phase a nation goes through, a necessary phase, on its way into communism. America is in the socialism phase, at this moment, on its inevitable way to communism. The stage is set, all the actors are in place, in fact, the curtain is raised, and the play has already begun.

The problem with socialism is: It kills it’s host!. It has failed everywhere on earth it has been tried and it destroyed the nations foolish enough to try it. It WILL destroy America, too.

It is a terrible thing to watch a great nation commit suicide. It is especially awful when the people of that nation have all the knowledge of the ages at their fingertips and all of it warns of the dangers of covetousness, sloth, greed, and ignorance. All four combine to become socialism — a cancer that will devour the core of any society weak enough, ignorant enough, and greedy enough, to covet that which his neighbor has, so much, that he is willing to destroy his neighbor, and himself, in his quest — not to raise himself up — but to bring his neighbor down! THAT is what socialism does. It is a philosophy straight out of hell itself.

If Dr. Dean is correct, then America is well on the way to the dustbin of history. And those who led her into socialism will answer at the final judgment for the murder of a nation.

Months ago, this commentator warned that Obama, and the democrat/socialists would over reach. My prediction has come true. And HOW!

It wasn’t much of a prediction, anyway. In a way, I sort of feel sorry for the democrats. They cannot help themselves, poor things. They are all about power and when they get just at taste of it they go gluttonous and begin grasping and grabbing for all the power within their reach – and then they begin going after power that is outside their reach. That is where Obama and the democrats find themselves today. It has ALWAYS been the downfall of the democrats in power.

Power. It is all about power! We’ve got it. They want it… and they are trying to take it from us.

ObamaCare is all about power. It is the ultimate power grab by the US government. Let’s face it, folks. The politicians don’t like taking orders from us. I mean, who the hell do we think we are, anyway? We’re just supposed to vote and then sit down and shut up. I believe the President, himself, said something on that order just recently. I mean about “sitting down and shutting up!”

Our government is out of control and the American people have just now recognized that fact. One of the agencies of our government out of control is, in my opinion, the Federal Communications Commission. I toiled in the broadcasting industry for nearly 30 years of my life and believe me when I tell you that to broadcasters the FCC is GOD! Broadcasters are ALWAYS at the mercy of the FCC. And now, according to CNSNEWS.com the newly appointed Chief Diversity Officer of the Federal Communications Commission, has called for making private broadcasting companies pay licensing fees equal to their total operating costs to allow public broadcasting outlets to spend the same on their operations as the private companies do. What they are proposing, you see, is for broadcasters to finance their government-funded competition! It is preposterous! You can read the entire story HERE. This all goes back to the democrat/socialist power grasping and power grabbing mentioned above.

We have stated before that the majority of Americans are conservative. You don’t have to like it. It remains a fact, however. And, at this point in American history, conservatives are angry with their government and they are hell bent on bringing the government back under control.

This angry confrontation Congresspersons and Senators are having with constituents back home is just the tip of the iceberg.

Another of this scribe’s predictions is coming true as well. We warned, months ago, that if Obama were elected, militia units would spring up again all over the nation. We learned from news reports, over the past few days, that that, indeed, has happened. There is an article entitled: “Officials see rise in militia groups across U.S.” You’ll find it HERE. The American people do not trust this government.

I have said many times, I have no crystal ball. I am not clairvoyant. I’m just an old country boy who tends to use the common sense my creator gave me. Besides, an idiot could have made both those predictions. It was as obvious as the sun at noon.

As a Southerner, I am not enamored of Abraham Lincoln. I sometimes turn a five-dollar bill face down when handing it to a cashier rather than have Lincoln’s face leering at me. But, he did say something, once, back in 1848 it was, that folks are remembering during these troubling times. Lincoln said the following: “Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable – a most sacred right – a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.”

“Nor,” said Lincoln, “is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people that can, may revolutionize, and make their own, of so much of the territory as they inhabit.”

If the quote above does not sound like the Lincoln you were taught about in Public School, you begin to grasp why we call them “government schools.”

Look, the American people have proven time and time again they will only be pushed so far – by anyone, including their own government. The government in Washington today would do well to reevaluate the course they are taking – and back off. They are tossing bills in the hopper with a depth of consideration one would equate with that of a prepubescent teenager! We, the American people, are no longer amused!
