<p><a href="http://westernfrontamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/DollarSinkhole1.jpg#utm_source=feed&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=feed"><img style="margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px; display: inline; border-width: 0px;" title="Dollar-Sinkhole" src="http://westernfrontamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/DollarSinkhole_thumb1.jpg" border="0" alt="Dollar-Sinkhole" width="167" height="120" align="left" /></a> The title to this article was taken for one of Ronald Reagan’s speeches. It is as true as truth gets. Ronald Reagan, the icon of the conservative movement in America, understood the fundamental truth of the Founding Fathers of America.</p>
<p>The Founding Fathers of America understood that a strong central government would never work in a republican form of government, the form of government they gave the American people. They knew that. They had just declared the independence of Americans from the “strong central government” of King George of Great Britain. They understood that for Americans to thrive and become a great nation of great people the government should provide one thing… freedom. They knew the American government should provide security from any and all enemies that presented a threat to the freedom of the American people so the American people could make the seeds of liberty grow and flourish.</p>
<p>Meeting in Philadelphia in 1776 they labored to create a constitution, the bedrock foundation of this nation, dedicated to the idea that the people would control their own destiny, not the government, that the people would make or break this experiment in democracy, not the government, that the labors of the people, known as business, would be free to create and manufacture, to sell, and to create wealth and keep that wealth or distribute it as they chose, not the government.</p>
<p>The constitution is as simple a governing document as has ever been written. It was drawn up to protect the people of this country from its government. Our Founding Fathers had just turned their backs on government, which had insinuated itself into the lives and businesses of its colonists to the point that those colonists rebelled and said: “No more!” With the constitution, the Founding Fathers put in writing the limits of the new American government.</p>
<p>For the past 234, or more, years the constitution has been a fly in the ointment to the political left everywhere on earth. When a people yearning to breath free, anywhere on the globe, look for a way, for a pattern, for directions on how to set up a non-repressive government, they turn to the US Constitution. There must be a reason. There is. Because it works!</p>
<p>Today, however, Americans themselves are ready to toss the constitution overboard and cling to a government, drunk on power and ready to do exactly the same thing King George did, insinuate itself into every aspect of the American people’s life. So bent on desecration of the constitution are they, that 52 % of the American voters cast their ballots for a man who declared his allegiance to creating a strong central government, which will take away the freedoms, the liberty, our forefathers fought, bled, and died to give us. <strong>They declared their overwhelming willingness to toss the democratic form of government in favor of a socialist form of government, which will guarantee cradle to the grave security.</strong> They voted “yes” to exchanging liberty for security. They voted to turn their backs on all the heroes of American history to follow in the footsteps of the Pied Piper of Socialism now President of the United States of America.</p>
<p>Again, let’s turn to Ronald Reagan for clarity. In 1964 Reagan said the following:<br />
“It&#8217;s time we asked ourselves if we still know the freedoms intended for us by the Founding Fathers. James Madison said, &#8220;We base all our experiments on the capacity of mankind for self government.&#8221;</p>
<p>This idea? That government was beholden to the people, that it had no other source of power is still the newest, most unique idea in all the long history of man&#8217;s relation to man. This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves. “</p>
<p>Reagan went on to say: “The Founding Fathers knew a government can&#8217;t control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing.</p>
<p>About financial security, Reagan had this to say: “There can be no security anywhere in the free world if there is no fiscal and economic stability within the United States. Those who ask us to trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state are architects of a policy of accommodation.”</p>
<p>Reagan wound up this jewel of a speech by saying the following: <strong><em>“You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children&#8217;s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.”</em></strong></p>
<p><strong><em> </em></strong></p>
<p>The question I would ask today is… have we done all we could do? It seems to me the multi-billion dollar bailout of our financial markets should be filed under <strong>“Controlling the people by controlling the people’s economy.” National Healthcare (Socialized Medicine) is, unquestionably, controlling the people in every facet of their lives.</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>As I view the America the voters of this nation created in November of 2008, I am inclined to say that, indeed, <em><strong>we have, just as Reagan warned, sentenced our children to a thousand years of darkness.</strong></em></p>

<p>Three American statesmen made trips to deliver historical speeches in Berlin:  1) JFK&#8217;s &#8220;Ich bin ein Berliner&#8221; speech in 1963, 2) Ronald Reagan&#8217;s &#8220;Tear down  this wall!&#8221; speech in 1987, and 3) Barack Obama&#8217;s 2009 non-speech speech which  in a revelatory <a href="http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=YzIzYWM4MWRmNTE1NzQ4MGY5ODE0MGRjMmIwYjdmMmQ=">article  by National Review&#8217;s Rich Lowry</a> could be titled, &#8220;Ich bin beschäftigt&#8221; –  i.e., I&#8217;m busy.</p>
<p>Although Barack Obama, after only one year in office, has visited more  countries than any other U.S. president in history, he does not have time to  accept German Chancellor Angela Merkel&#8217;s invitation to speak in Berlin next week  in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, which  Stalin built in 1961 to keep East German citizens separate from the West and  mired in the hopeless abyss of communism.</p>
<p>What was Obama doing the night the election returns were coming in? According  to his press secretary, Robert Gibbs, Obama was enjoying a sycophantic HBO  documentary about himself and his presidential campaign rather than watching the  election returns.</p>
<p>If the Roman despot Nero fiddled while Rome burned, then surely it can be  said that Obama watched TV while the Democrat Party crashed and burned in the  special elections Nov. 3. Most political experts think that the devastating  losses in Virginia and New Jersey are omens of even more galling losses to come  for the Democratic Party in the 2010 and 2012 elections.</p>
<p>Why can&#8217;t Obama go to Berlin?</p>
<p>President Obama is Machiavellian to the core, and like Machiavelli, who said  in his infamous book &#8220;The Prince&#8221; (1513) <em>the end justifies the means</em>,  likewise Obama will do nothing that won&#8217;t further his political agenda to  &#8220;remake America&#8221; in his own Marxist image. Going to Berlin won&#8217;t <em>deify</em> Obama, it will <em>reveal</em> him. Furthermore, he knows that whatever words he  would say in Berlin would pale in comparison to the words JFK said in Berlin in  June 1963 and especially Ronald Reagan&#8217;s prophetic rhetoric uttered before the  Brandenburg Gate on June 12, 1987 – &#8220;Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!&#8221;– just  two years before the fall of the evil Soviet Empire. Moreover, the dirty little  secret about the Democratic Party, Barack Obama and his fascist minions in the  White House is that they were on the wrong side of history. Liberals did not  cheer when the Berlin Wall fell. Obama and his socialist colleagues in the  academy, in the media, in Hollywood did not have a party of jubilee as the  people did in East Berlin, in Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania, Georgia,  Ukraine, Czechoslovakia and in numerous other former Soviet-bloc countries.  Reagan&#8217;s words, &#8220;Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!&#8221; literally freed hundreds  of millions of people from the bondage of communist dictatorships all over the  world.</p>
<p>Regarding the artistic and Hollywood community, I read an interesting story  about the Wende Museum in Los Angeles and its failed efforts to erect a portion  of Berlin wall as an art exhibit. Here is an excerpt of the narrative from the  <a href="http://www.bradenton.com/entertainment/story/1830675.html">article</a>:</p>
<blockquote><p>The concrete wall that divided the city of Berlin for 28 years is  suddenly splitting a segment of Los Angeles&#8217; art community just as the 20th  anniversary of the wall&#8217;s falling nears.The trouble began earlier this month when the Wende Museum installed several  segments of the original Berlin Wall on Wilshire Boulevard.</p>
<p>Kent Twitchell, whose larger-than-life paintings cover entire walls and sides  of freeways, said he planned to &#8220;bookend&#8221; two sections of the wall with  portraits of President John F. Kennedy, who denounced the barrier in a Berlin  speech in 1963, and President Ronald Reagan, who famously demanded, &#8220;Tear down  this wall!&#8221; shortly before it came down in 1989.</p>
<p>But as he rushed to finish the portraits, Twitchell said he was told by  organizers that he could leave one of the paintings in his studio: There was no  room for both.</p>
<p>&#8220;They said there would only be room for one and they just assumed it would be  Kennedy,&#8221; the disappointed artist said this week as he continued to work at  putting the final touches on the Reagan one.</p></blockquote>
<p>Stalin would be proud of the censorship tactics by the commissars of art and  the useful idiots of the Hollywood left, for they are continuing his ignoble  legacy 56 years after his death by &#8220;disappearing&#8221; the great President Ronald  Reagan from our national memory at the Wende Museum.</p>
<p>Returning to why Obama <em>can&#8217;t</em> go to Berlin, his only concern is  puffing up his own massive ego. A trip to Berlin to celebrate the fall of  communism in Eastern Europe simply does not <a href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=115246#">fit</a> the  template of what motivates our Narcissist-in-Chief, which can be encapsulated in  this phrase – How can I be praised?</p>
<p>On Nov. 9, 1989, the torch of liberty was lit for more than a billion people  (one-third of the world&#8217;s population) when they started their path toward  freedom with the fall of the Berlin Wall; a seemingly impregnable symbol of  imprisonment that the murderous Soviet dictator, Josef Stalin, erected in 1961  to stop the exodus of East German citizens fleeing the slavery of communism for  the freedom and liberty of democracy in West Germany.</p>
<p>Twenty years later, President Obama, as the anti-Reagan, is trying to rebuild  the Berlin Wall brick by brick with fascist policies designed to undermine  freedom of all Americas and the liberties of those people around the world  yearning for a republic founded on the rule of law. Obama wants to place those  same shackles Stalin put on the Soviet-bloc countries on America with his  socialist health-care bill, which, if passed, would place government in our  lives from cradle to grave.</p>
<p>Furthermore, if Obama signs the upcoming Copenhagen climate-change treaty at  the United Nations conference Dec. 7-18, he will, with the stroke of a pen,  concurrently destroy America&#8217;s Constitution and make the U.S. a servile client  state of the United Nations into perpetuity.</p>

One skeleton that caught my attention  last week was the astonishing claim, based on KGB documents released under the  <em>Glasnost</em> policies, of Russian President Boris Yeltsin on Sen. Ted  Kennedy.</p>
<p>Kennedy&#8217;s treason first came to public attention in a Feb. 2, 1992, article  in the London Times, titled, &#8220;Teddy, the KGB and the top secret file,&#8221; by  reporter Tim Sebastian. The seditious events were also published in Human Events  in 2003, which read in part:</p>
<blockquote><p>One of the documents, a KGB report to bosses in the Soviet Communist  Party Central Committee, revealed that &#8220;In 1978, American Sen. Edward Kennedy  requested the assistance of the KGB to establish a relationship&#8221; between the  Soviet apparatus and a firm owned by former Sen. John Tunney, D-Ca. KGB  recommended that they be permitted to do this because Tunney&#8217;s firm was already  connected with a KGB agent in France named David Karr. This document was found  by the knowledgeable Russian journalist Yevgenia Albats and published in  Moscow&#8217;s Izvestia in June 1992.</p></blockquote>
<p>Another even more disturbing KGB memo was analyzed in detail by writer Paul  Kengor in his 2006 book, <a href="http://shop.wnd.com/store/item.asp?DEPARTMENT_ID=6&amp;SUBDEPARTMENT_ID=20&amp;ITEM_ID=1974">&#8220;The  Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism.&#8221;</a></p>
<p>The memo, dated May 14, 1983, is from the head of the KGB, Victor Chebrikov,  to his boss, the sinister Soviet General Secretary Yuri Andropov. The highly  confidential document was in regards to a clandestine offer to the Soviet  leadership by none other than Sen. Ted Kennedy. What was the <em>quid pro  quo</em>? If the Soviet Union would help Sen. Kennedy and the Democratic Party  defeat President Ronald Reagan in the upcoming 1984 elections, then Sen. Kennedy  would use the American media to exploit existential tensions between the U.S.  and the Soviet Union over the issue of peaceful co-existence and nuclear  proliferation.</p>
<p>Ted Kennedy wanted to show that Reagan was a greater enemy of U.S.-Soviet  relations than Yuri Andropov (former head of the KGB and the architect of such  brutal military campaigns as &#8220;Prague Spring&#8221; in 1968, Kabul, Afghanistan, in  1979 and Warsaw, Poland, in 1981). To the Democratic Party and Sen. Ted Kennedy  <em>one</em> stalwart Republican was more of a danger to world peace than the  entire Soviet government, which by 1983 had seized power and established  communist dictatorships in dozens of countries throughout the world.</p>
<p>Does this latest old revelation forever make Sen. Kennedy President Reagan&#8217;s  Benedict Arnold? I think it does; here&#8217;s why.</p>
<p>JFK said at his Inaugural Address in January 1961: &#8220;History, the final judge  of our deeds.&#8221; That said, history has repeatedly affirmed that President Reagan,  during his eight years as president (1981-89), put the death nail in the coffin  of the old Soviet empire by outspending them on military hardware and by  exposing the &#8220;evil empire.&#8221; Reagan believed in American exceptionalism, that  America was that &#8220;shining city on a hill.&#8221;</p>
<p>On the other hand, Sen. Ted Kennedy, for almost 50 years as a U.S. Senator,  including the eight years Reagan was president, used every Machiavellian tactic  learned from his father, Joe Kennedy Sr. to undermine and destroy the vaunted  &#8220;Reagan Revolution,&#8221; even as those transcendent ideas eventually smashed Soviet  communism to its foundations and granted freedom to tens of millions of people.</p>
<p>Indeed, Sen. Ted Kennedy was President Reagan&#8217;s Benedict Arnold.</p>
<p>Regarding some of the ugly details of Sen. Ted Kennedy&#8217;s treachery against  President Reagan and America, Kengor wrote:</p>
<blockquote><p>According to the memo, Senator Kennedy was &#8220;very troubled&#8221; by  U.S.-Soviet relations, which Kennedy attributed not to the murderous tyrant  running the USSR but to President Reagan. The problem was Reagan&#8217;s  &#8220;belligerence.&#8221; …Chebrikov&#8217;s memo got to the thrust of Kennedy&#8217;s offer: The senator was  apparently clinging to hope that President Reagan&#8217;s 1984 re-election <a href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&amp;pageId=108649#">bid</a> could be thwarted. Of course, this seemed unlikely, given Reagan&#8217;s undeniable  popularity. … The only real threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and  Soviet-American relations. These issues, according to the senator, will without  a doubt become the most important of the election campaign.</p></blockquote>
<p>It gets much worse. Kennedy&#8217;s duplicity and treachery was even more  shameless, detailed and complete than other famous traitors in history like:  Judas Iscariot, Lady Macbeth, Benedict Arnold, the French Vichy government and  Vidkun Quisling, who opened up his country (Norway) to Hitler&#8217;s Nazis.</p>
<p>An interesting excerpt from the 1983 Chebrikov memo was the part where  Kennedy promised favorable media treatment for Premiere Andropov and all Soviet  officials looking to come to America to bolster USSR public approval, while  condemning Reagan&#8217;s aggressive stance to rebuild America&#8217;s military as a buffer  against Soviet communism. Kengor wrote of Kennedy:</p>
<blockquote><p>The media savvy Massachusetts senator recommended to the Soviet  dictator that he seek a &#8220;direct appeal&#8221; to the American people. And, on that,  &#8220;Kennedy and his friends,&#8221; explained Chebrikov, were willing to help, listing  Walter Cronkite and Barbara Walters (both listed by name in the memo) as good  candidates for sit-down interviews with the dictator.</p></blockquote>
<p>This section confirms my profound suspicions of the government-controlled  media, particularly Walter Cronkite, whom I chronicled in an earlier article.</p>
<p>I apologize for such a cursory analysis on the detailed and comprehensive  treachery by Sen. Ted Kennedy against Carter and Reagan by literally stabbing  our presidents and the American people in the back during one of the most  dangerous periods of American history – the Cold War. Ted Kennedy&#8217;s insatiable  lust for power and notoriety drove him to Faustian alliances with the most  murderous communist dictatorship the world has ever known.</p>
<p>Who could be against America, the last great hope for civilization and the  only buffer against a worldwide communist dictatorship? We can now clearly see  from a number of declassified KGB memos and other documents from the Kremlin  archives that indeed it was the Democratic Party led by Sen. Ted Kennedy … the  Benedict Arnold of our time.</p>
