It looks dead. But is it? Poke it with a stick and see if it moves. Hold a mirror beneath its nostrils and watch for condensation. If this were the TV series “CIS” or “NCIS” we’d punch a spike thermometer through its abdomen, and into the liver, to determine time of death – if any.
If the Republican Party is to purge itself of its legacy of failed leadership, it must indeed return to the tried and true “conscience of a conservative,” by acknowledging that a party divided against itself cannot stand. In short, the neo-conservative cabal which hijacked the party has failed to protect the national interest.
I say again, the majority of Americans do not want government-run socialized medicine. The progressives/socialist/Marxists/democrats are dead set on ramming it down our throats despite that fact. This so-called healthcare summit with the Obama Regime is just another way to do that ramming.
The American people regard the Republican Party as a quisling, which surrendered our national sovereignty to the absurd “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” of the international bankers. This is the supra-nationalistic agenda of globalism in Big Brother’s “New World Order,” as promulgated by David Rockefeller.
Obama is not willing to enter into health care negotiations with Republicans without preconditions.
In inviting Republicans to the negotiating table for the first time later this month, Obama has imposed the precondition that the negotiations start with the Democratic versions of health care legislation.
The Obama administration may be able to fool the American people for a time, with “hope” pep talks, and fireside chats, but the ultimate reality is that gullible Americans are NOT the sophisticated foreign investors who are currently propping up this republic. These foreign investors are getting ready to pull the plug on the hopeless deadbeat this country has become.
Contrary to popular belief, the Republican Party is actually dead; that is why it now parades out zombies and political hacks for our perusal. For Americans to witness the rise of J.D. Hayworth, like the proverbial phoenix, is indeed a portent of good fortune for the survival of our republic and the conservative principles which enable homeostasis of the national body.
The left, those who would steal and mangle the birthright of every American, want you to believe this pile of horse hockey. The truth is almost the exact opposite. People are angry and frustrated with Obama and liberal policies. They are angry and frustrated with being lied to, insulted, and ignored.
We, and the people of Massachusetts, are indeed fortunate that Brown’s was a significant victory, not just squeaking by with a few hundred votes as happened in Minnesota. The difference was too great to be covered by ballots found in the trunk of a car or glitches in a few voting machines.
This is a significant problem. In fact, it is an enormous problem. To set this nation right, we MUST win the House this year. I don’t believe it’s optional. Given the growing discontent among the public, and especially among independents, it would seem to be an achievable goal.
As the policies and actions of the Obama Administration have become more readily apparent, the Republican Party may believe that they have “default” support among Conservative and Independents for the upcoming election cycle. I would urge you to examine this more closely. As you may have noticed, the approval ratings for Republicans are still quite low. There is a reason for this beyond the fact that the left and the media are against Republicans.
Former VA GOP Chairman Pat McSweeney gave McDonnell sage advice when he said you can lose votes by taking a stand and offending people; you can avoid taking a stand and alienate people who want a leader; and you can backpedal from beliefs you previously held. But God help the candidate who does all three.
Where do we go from here? If economic projections and unemployment rates remain depressed a year from now, I think the GOP will be poised to retake both houses of Congress, rendering Obama a lame duck president into the 2012 election and almost assuring that a Republican will become the nation’s next leader. That’s why Obama is so desperately trying to pass his FDR welfare state legislation before the August recess.
