Here we go again, a bunch of fanatics disrupt a public hearing screaming “safe” and “legal” in an obvious effort to block sensible, long overdue regulations that protect health and are supported by a majority of the public.

Furthermore, the only reason these abominations are allowed in the marketplace is because some biased judge made a legally indefensible ruling that flies in the face of public opinion and a sophisticated, modern reading of the Constitution.

Don’t these gun and tobacco mouth–breathers ever get tired of peddling their anti–scientific propaganda? Have they no shame?

Oh, wait. Check signals. This wasn’t the National Rifle Association and Joe Camel disturbing the peace. It was “progressive” Democrats and feminists claiming abortion is “safe” and “legal” and should therefore be immune to regulation — just like handguns.

The occasion for this wailing and gnashing of teeth was the Virginia Board of Health’s decision to once again regulate abortion clinics just as it did prior to 1984.

Briefly, the reinstituted rules require abortion mills that perform five or more first–trimester lethal injections each month to meet the same standards as out–patient surgery centers where customers are expected to survive.

This means just like nail salons, barber shops and funeral parlors; abortion clinics will have to meet state regulations and undergo periodic inspections.

This was too much for the Virginia Coalition to Protect Women’s Health, “The regulations are a backdoor attempt to deny women access to a safe, legal medical procedure…they must protect women’s access to affordable, high quality reproductive health care.”

Wow! For a minute there I thought they wanted the baby to survive, until I recalled that feminists don’t associate “reproductive health care” with actual reproduction.

Corrina Beall, a recent college graduate with what appears to be a very active and spontaneous sex life, complained, “The young women rely on these services. I rely on these services. The families of Virginia rely on these services, and my generation relies on these services.”

And the editorialists at the Washington Post thundered, “It’s already hard to get an abortion in Virginia, and it’s about to get much harder.” This stretches credulity since the number unborn babies executed last year totaled 26,000. What increase in the carnage would make the worthies at the Post more comfortable? Are 40,000 deaths sufficient? 50,000? How high must the pile be?

Smoking is legal, too, yet federal regulators are now proposing to require lurid photos on cigarette packs to deter smoking through the use of shock — an idea I think should be extended to all Planned “Parenthood” offices — and states and cities have almost outlawed the practice within sniffing range of any non–smoker.

By comparison, abortionists are getting off easy and for the foreseeable future won’t be joining smokers in back alleys. Currently the rulebook for abortion clinics weighs in at 26 pages of regulations. This compares well with the regulatory burden imposed on tattoo parlors, which totals 25, and is somewhat smaller than the regulation total for body piercing. Of course those establishments only participate in the death of restraint, rather than actual death like abortion clinics.

For “progressives” death–by–regulation is a reasonable and accepted strategy if you’re talking about offshore drilling, nuclear power or even capital punishment. But when it comes to regulating death in an abortion clinic, any regulation is too much.

Right now complaints are being heard regarding rules that specify the size of exam rooms, width of hallways, unannounced inspections and medical procedures.

The rule booklet even requires a certain number of parking spaces based on clinic size. “Progressives” believe this kind of nit–picking is fine if you are regulating something dangerous like a church, but completely over the top when applied to an innocent abortion emporium.

Virginia even has the gall to require patient records be kept and open to unannounced inspection. Where’s the precedent for this? Don’t pharmaceutical companies, nuclear power plants, offshore oilrigs, hospitals and airlines all self–report and we take their word for the safety of their products and procedures?

The abortion industry is built on the death of innocents and a flight from personal responsibility — all while hiding behind the euphemism of “choice.”

“Progressives” boast their policies are based on science and not superstition. These Darwinian social justice crusaders proclaim that science states unequivocally that human life originated from a single–cell organism that appeared eons ago.

Yet when it comes to any single–cell organisms lurking in the womb, the jury’s out on whether it’s human until it gets a slap from the doctor or a dose of herbal tea from the midwife.

Well, Gaddafi is still alive and kicking — and fighting the so-called Libyan “rebels” to a stand still. Some refer to it as a stalemate, others as a quagmire. No matter what you choose to call it, it is a confounded mess! And it is as embarrassing (as all get out) to the Obama Administration, the political left, the leftist media, and to NATO.

As we have learned, all to often with Obama, rules and regulation — and much of the US Constitution — does not apply seem to him and his cohorts.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how we missed that little shortcoming of US law. But apparently, we did. And, as a result, Obama just goes ahead and acts as a king would do and issues “commands,” “decrees,” and “edicts.” What’s worse – the Mainstream Media, which lays claim to “watchdog” status for the people, will not call him on it. They just look the other way, totally disregarding illegal and/or unconstitutional actions of the Obama Administration.

If the actions of the Obama Administration in the Libyan war were ever “questionable” it no longer matters. Now they are, under US law – ILLEGAL.

I refer to the War Powers Act of 1973. (You may read the entire act HERE.)

Under the law, Obama had sixty days to report to Congress on his actions involving the US military in Libya. He refused to do so. The Congress must now, by the law, take action.

The most often suggested action is for the Congress to simply cut off funds for US military activities in Libya. But I am betting that the current Congress hasn’t the collective cajones to carry out the law of the land and discipline the President by turning off the money spigot and forcing him to pull US forces and equipment out of that sand dune circus.

In fact here is a little known stipulation of the War Powers act:

“SEC. 5. (c)

Notwithstanding subsection (b), at any time that United States Armed Forces are engaged in hostilities outside the territory of the United States, its possessions and territories without a declaration of war or specific statutory authorization, such forces shall be removed by the President if the Congress so directs by concurrent resolution.”

Don’t hold your breath waiting for it to happen, though. There seems to be a strange shortage of testosterone in the halls of Congress today.

However, it seems to me now is exactly the time for the Congress to order President Obama to withdraw all US military assets out of the Libyan theatre of war. That would include the Hellfire missile equipped drones buzzing around over the Libyan sands. If for no other reason than the US simply cannot afford the cost of such a hair-brained operation.

Look, the painfully plain truth is – we don’t have a clue WHO THE HECK THOSE “REBELS” ARE.

See, the nagging question is — are we providing military support for Muslims who will, at some point in the not too distant future, turn out to be terrorists training their weapons on the United States of America. I would argue there is more than an even chance that YES, that is exactly the threat posed by those we are supporting today in Libya. Does anyone remember when the US supported the Afghanis against Russia — only to wind up fighting them today in Afghanistan in a war we have no intention of winning? Does anyone remember that?

If this had been President George W. Bush pulling such a stunt, the mainstream media, Obama’s lapdogs, would be all over him with every issue and every broadcast.

But, alas, the leftist propaganda machine, which IS the mainstream media in America, is so biased it would be laughable if it were not doing so much harm to America.

Have you noticed the reduction in the coverage of the war in Libya by the press? Why, because it has rapidly become an embarrassment to the political left. They cannot risk this folly of Obama to actually taint him in anyway. Heavens, no! The Messiah, the savior of America, must be assisted in obtaining another four-year term in the Oval Office.

Rest easy, you folks in the leftist media. I don’t think you have much to fear from the GOP in the campaign against Obama over the next eighteen months, or so. I say that with great sadness. But it is the truth, as I see it. I am fairly certain America must endure six more years of Obama thumbing his nose at US law and the Constitution with no one willing to oppose him.

A few weeks ago I wrote:  “For the first time in its history, America is on the wrong side.

Our President, with his loyalty to the world and not to the country that trusted him with the sacred duty to be leader of America and Commander-in-Chief of the mightiest military force in all of history, has gone over to the “Dark Side.” He has turned his back on the one nation, which occupies the most important piece of real estate on the globe. On Thursday, May 19th, 2011, Barack Hussein Obama, the President of the United States of America, sold Israel out.

Before going further – allow me to say, Obama does not speak for all Americans.  In fact, he speaks for fewer and fewer Americans every day.  With his call for Israel to return to its 1967 borders he has alienated millions of Americans, especially the American evangelical Christians.  And, my fervent hope is that he has awakened America’s Jewish community to his anti-Israel policies.

Obama backhanded the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu today as Netanyahu was preparing to fly to the US to speak before the Congress.  Obama’s speech was a well-planned ambush of Mr. Netanyahu.  It was intended to shake Israel’s Prime Minister and weaken him before his address to the Congress. It was, plain and simple, dirty politics.  But we have come to expect this kind of attack from this American President.  Down and dirty!

With Obama’s public unveiling of his “Throw Israel to the Wolves” policy, he has now publicly declared, for all to see (who will allow themselves to see), that he, Obama, supports Israel’s enemies and their efforts to drive Israel into the sea.  By the way, Americans should never — for one moment — forget that Israel’s enemies are AMERICA’S ENEMIES, TOO!

Obama just lit the fuse to the powder keg that will blow up the world.   If Israel is forced to return to the 1967 borders, a nuclear Armageddon will follow.  Israel will not able to defend itself with conventional weapons and will have no choice but to employ its nuclear arsenal to defeat its enemies.  And it will use them with well thought out effectiveness.

If you think the Middle East is afire today … you ain’t seen nothing yet!

Let me be very clear here:  ISRAEL WILL NOT LOSE.  Its enemies WILL lose and America will suffer, incalculably, as a result of the Obama’s announced policy demanding that Israel return to the pre-1967 war borders.

For those of our reader who rely on scripture as their guide, and on the accuracy of Biblical Prophecy concerning Israel we refer you to these statements concerning Israel’s home FOREVER:

Amos 9:15 — I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the LORD your God.

Jeremiah 3:18 — In those days the house of Judah will join the house of Israel, and together they will come from a northern land to the land I gave your forefathers as an inheritance.

Jeremiah 23:8  — but they will say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.”

Jeremiah 33:7 — I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before.

Ezekiel 34:28  — They will no longer be plundered by the nations, nor will wild animals devour them. They will live in safety, and no one will make them afraid.

Ezekiel 37:25 — They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever.

Joel 3:20  — Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem through all generations.

What Obama, and Israel’s other enemies, fail to understand (Or understand it and choose to ignore it) is this:  That of all the dry land on this planet earth, there is only one tiny little piece of geography that God, Himself, has designated as belonging to a single people – ISRAEL.  What the evangelical Christian Americans rightly understand is this:  When God brought the people of Israel, His people, home and gave them a “state,” a nation, in May of 1948, God had already made it as plain as possible that Israel would never be moved from that land again — forever.

It seems so clear that anyone coming against Israel to drive them from that land will be subject to supernatural intervention from God — on behalf of Israel. That will insure the utter failure of those coming against Israel and, too, it will insure the utter destruction of Israel’s attackers.

I had not intended to climb into my pulpit in this commentary, but it is important that you, the reader, understand that it is not I making these predictions. And HE has a one hundred percent accuracy rate — plus a record of meting out justice, which is — complete destruction of Israel’s enemies.

On Thursday, Obama crossed the line and, in my opinion, will bring punishment to America such as we have never experienced in our history.

If there was ever any doubt where Obama’s sympathies lie — with Israel, or with Israel’s Muslim enemies, all doubt should have been erased by his revealing speech in which he sold out America’s only friend left in the Middle East and, very nearly, the entire world.

Pray for Israel… and pray that America’s punishment will not cripple her forever.

President Obama’s budget speech of April 13 may well go down in history as one of the worst Presidential speeches ever broadcast. But it still bears analysis and commentary! While Vice President Biden was sleeping through it, I was taking notes – so here goes. We’ll take Mr. Obama’s most salient statements, and lay them against a plumb line of reality. This may be a lengthy piece – but there is quite a lot to examine!

This debate over budgets and deficits is about more than just numbers on a page, more than just cutting and spending.  It’s about the kind of future we want.  It’s about the kind of country we believe in.

Precisely. This is a battle vision and philosophy. The Big Government, Wealth Redistributing, Nanny State Leftists versus the Self Reliance, Personal Responsibility, Free Market Right.

From our first days as a nation, we have put our faith in free markets and free enterprise as the engine of America’s wealth and prosperity.  More than citizens of any other country, we are rugged individualists, a self-reliant people with a healthy skepticism of too much government.

Obama throws a bone to the majority of America! Unfortunately he and the left don’t BELIEVE it, as we’ll see in the rest of the President’s remarks!

Part of this American belief that we are all connected also expresses itself in a conviction that each one of us deserves some basic measure of security.  We recognize that no matter how responsibly we live our lives, hard times or bad luck, a crippling illness or a layoff, may strike any one of us.  “There but for the grace of God go I,” we say to ourselves, and so we contribute to programs like Medicare and Social Security, which guarantee us health care and a measure of basic income after a lifetime of hard work; unemployment insurance, which protects us against unexpected job loss; and Medicaid, which provides care for millions of seniors in nursing homes, poor children, and those with disabilities.  We are a better country because of these commitments.  I’ll go further – we would not be a great country without those commitments.

So, let’s understand: We DESERVE security at the hand and responsibility of the FEDERAL Government? Do we all deserve compassion? Certainly. Charity? Of course. FAMILY responsibility? Resoundingly, yes. Perhaps even state governments can constitutionally choose to involve themselves in such services. But the enumerated powers granted the Federal Government under our Constitution provide no authority, much less a mandate for any such programs! And Obama thinks that we WOULD NOT BE A GREAT COUNTRY without entitlements? Does he believe we sucked before FDR?

For much of the last century, our nation found a way to afford these investments and priorities with the taxes paid by its citizens.  As a country that values fairness, wealthier individuals have traditionally born a greater share of this burden than the middle class or those less fortunate.  This is not because we begrudge those who’ve done well – we rightly celebrate their success.  Rather, it is a basic reflection of our belief that those who have benefitted most from our way of life can afford to give a bit more back.  Moreover, this belief has not hindered the success of those at the top of the income scale, who continue to do better and better with each passing year.

Books could be written on this paragraph alone! But I’ll try to be brief. Half the people in this country pay NO Federal Income Tax at all! They are the ones who benefit from this “way of life”. The rich have striven for, worked for, risked for and EARNED their success, only to have it APPROPRIATED for redistribution to those who have not done so! Many of these “beneficiaries” have their homes, heat, food, daycare and many other expenses paid for, and have nicer cars, televisions, cell phones and clothes than many who work hard for their sustenance! Perhaps the “beneficiaries” who now live on Government Largesse at no expense to them should pay THEIR fair share!

The so called wealthy already pay far more than the lion’s share of taxes. They already see half or more of what they work for taken in Federal, State and other taxes. At what point does confiscation of wealth become UN-fair? The American Dream is that ANYONE has the opportunity to work hard and become successful. But if you attain that success you become the enemy and your wealth must be confiscated for redistribution to those who did not take the initiative to utilize their opportunities that you did? If you ATTAIN the American Dream, do you then deserve to have it TAKEN from you?

Now, at certain times – particularly during periods of war or recession – our nation has had to borrow money to pay for some of our priorities.  And as most families understand, a little credit card debt isn’t going to hurt if it’s temporary.

TEMPORARY? Our nation has lived on the credit card as a major part of our budget for generations! This isn’t new, and it’s never been “temporary!

But as far back as the 1980s, America started amassing debt at more alarming levels, and our leaders began to realize that a larger challenge was on the horizon.  They knew that eventually, the Baby Boom generation would retire, which meant a much bigger portion of our citizens would be relying on programs like Medicare, Social Security, and possibly Medicaid.

The “1980s” and “amassing debt” comment is an implied dig at Reagan. Reagan cut taxes, and was blamed for increasing the deficit. Yet the reality is that Reagan’s tax cuts DOUBLED revenues. It was the Democrat Congress, led by Tip O’Neal, (who declared Reagan’s reasonable budgets “dead on arrival”), which increased spending by $1.84 for every dollar in tax-cut generated new revenue!

Yes, the Dems DID see the age-wave of the Baby Boomers coming… and welcomed it as a voter boom! As they aged, they’d become more dependent on Government! The ideal situation for the party of the nanny state!

To meet this challenge, our leaders came together three times during the 1990s to reduce our nation’s deficit.  They forged historic agreements that required tough decisions made by the first President Bush and President Clinton; by Democratic Congresses and a Republican Congress.  All three agreements asked for shared responsibility and shared sacrifice, but they largely protected the middle class, our commitments to seniors, and key investments in our future.

As a result of these bipartisan efforts, America’s finances were in great shape by the year 2000. We went from deficit to surplus.  America was actually on track to becoming completely debt-free, and we were prepared for the retirement of the Baby Boomers.

This is almost laughable!

Prior to the Gingrich revolution of 1994, the Democrats had a death-grip on Congress, where budgets/spending take place! Interestingly, starting in 1994, we saw deficit reduction fiscal responsibility under the GOP majority that lead to a couple years of actual SURPLUSSES which, of course, Bill Clinton took credit for, though he was dragged kicking and screaming by the GOP Congress to budgets of austerity! And now Obama’s claiming it to have been a BI-PARTISAN effort!

But after Democrats and Republicans committed to fiscal discipline during the 1990s, we lost our way in the decade that followed.  We increased spending dramatically for two wars and an expensive prescription drug program – but we didn’t pay for any of this new spending.

It wasn’t until the perfect storm of the dot-bomb, 9/11, and the prosecution of 2 wars that we had to pick up that credit card again! Bush’s worst deficit (and the worst deficit in history to that point) was in 2003, at 420 Billion (a mere PITTANCE by today’s standards!).

The “dramatic increase” for 2 wars: Remember the $87 Billion that Kerry voted for before voting against? We ran 2 wars for a year on $87 Billion. Remember the $787 Billion Bailout? That was 9 times bigger!!

The Bush Tax Cuts (that Obama wants to roll back, as we’ll discuss later) did what tax cuts ALWAYS do… they raised revenues! Our deficit declined in EACH of the following 3 years, so that when the power shifted back to the Democrats in 2006, the deficit had been reduced to a mere 120 Billion. The Bush tax cuts REDUCED the deficit by 300 Billion in 3 years – or about 100 Billion a year!

Bush took office with our national debt at 4 Trillion. He and the GOP Congress were deservedly criticized for increasing that by 50% to 6 Trillion in the first 6 years of the Bush Administration. Bush raised the debt by 2 Trillion in 6 years, and was “rewarded” with the return of power to the Democrats and Pelosi and Reid took the helm of Congress.

Unfortunately, as bad as Bush’s fiscal leadership had been… it was exponentially better than what followed. In their first year, Pelosi/Reid tripled the previous year’s 120 Billion dollar deficit to 450 Billion – 30 Billion worse than Bush’s WORST deficit in 2003! But the following year, they tripled THAT to 1.2 TRILLION! Pelosi and Reid started their tenure in charge with a 120 Billion dollar deficit and 6 Trillion in debt. In merely 4 years they increased the deficit EXPONENTIALLY, to 1.6 Trillion (1600 Billion) and they raised our debt by 2 1/3 times to 14 Trillion! It took 43 Presidents and 230 years to amass a 6 Trillion dollar debt… and these clowns added 8 Trillion to it in 4 years!

Instead, we made the problem worse with trillions of dollars in unpaid-for tax cuts – tax cuts that went to every millionaire and billionaire in the country; tax cuts that will force us to borrow an average of $500 billion every year over the next decade.

To give you an idea of how much damage this caused to our national checkbook, consider this:  in the last decade, if we had simply found a way to pay for the tax cuts and the prescription drug benefit, our deficit would currently be at low historical levels in the coming years.

So that’s how our fiscal challenge was created.  This is how we got here.  And now that our economic recovery is gaining strength, Democrats and Republicans must come together and restore the fiscal responsibility that served us so well in the 1990s.  We have to live within our means, reduce our deficit, and get back on a path that will allow us to pay down our debt.  And we have to do it in a way that protects the recovery, and protects the investments we need to grow, create jobs, and win the future.

WOW! There’s a mouthful! Most of it false!

First, he’s still playing to that economic myth that the left strives so hard to promote: The “Tax Rates are Directly Proportional to Revenues” myth. This theory has been disproven every time Tax Cuts have been tried! Revenues INCREASE when tax rates are reduced. Kennedy proved it. Reagan proved it. Bush proved it. So if revenues go UP when tax rates go DOWN, then rates and revenues are NOT directly proportional and tax rate adjustments have BEHAVIORAL effects on the public which can cause DYNAMIC expansion and contraction of the economy.

This brings us to the second sacred myth of the Left: The “Zero Sum Game” theory of the Economy. Under this theory, the economy is a fixed size and there is only so much sand in the sandbox. Piling up too much in one corner deprives the rest of the sandbox. If someone is too successful and amasses too much wealth, someone else somewhere is denied the opportunity to have enough. This is the very FOUNDATIONAL truth of class warfare! If you make the rich poorer, axiomatically you improve the lot of everyone else, as if by magic!! But the economy is not static. It dynamically expands and contracts with the behavior of the producers. Wealth is created every time a new idea comes to market! Every time a business grows and adds workers. It contracts when the producers feel the need to protect their assets and minimize risk. An adversarial relationship between Government and the producers in this country and anti-business tax and regulatory policies drive the producers into a defensive posture, contracting the economy and reducing tax revenues. Raise rates on business, and you’ll net LESS revenue.

Now, before I get into how we can achieve this goal, some of you might be wondering, “Why is this so important?  Why does this matter to me?”

By the end of this decade, the interest we owe on our debt could rise to nearly $1 trillion.  Just the interest payments.

Just to remind you: 2006 debt, 6 Trillion. After 4 years of Pelosi/Reid, debt is 14 Trillion.

Then, as the Baby Boomers start to retire and health care costs continue to rise, the situation will get even worse.  By 2025, the amount of taxes we currently pay will only be enough to finance our health care programs, Social Security, and the interest we owe on our debt.  That’s it.  Every other national priority – education, transportation, even national security – will have to be paid for with borrowed money.

In other words, the government made promises it can’t keep! The nanny-state Socialists are running out of other people’s money! Obama talked about 2525 – far enough away that folks will dismiss it as “the future”… but the fact is that TODAY our discretionary spending IN TOTAL is 1.3 Trillion while our deficit is 1.6 Trillion. If we funded ONLY Entitlements and interest on the debt, we’d be 300 billion short!! We’re ALREADY paying for 1/3 of our budget with borrowed money… and 2/3 of our budget is entitlements and interest on the debt! In fact he admits it below, though with obfuscation:

So here’s the truth.  Around two-thirds of our budget is spent on Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and national security.  Programs like unemployment insurance, student loans, veterans’ benefits, and tax credits for working families take up another 20%.  What’s left, after interest on the debt, is just 12 percent for everything else. That’s 12 percent for all of our other national priorities like education and clean energy; medical research and transportation; food safety and keeping our air and water clean.

Note that he included National Security (Discretionary) in with Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security (so-called Mandatory entitlement spending), and he separated interest on the debt (mandatory) out. Let’s look at ALL mandatory spending as distinct from Discretionary: In 2010, Medicare (519 Billion), Medicaid (273 Billion) and Social Security (701 Billion) totaled 1.493 Trillion out of a 3.5 Trillion dollar budget. That’s 1/3 of the budget by itself. Add in Interest on the debt (202 Billion) and “Other Mandatory” spending like welfare and food stamps (433 Billion) and you’re up to 2.128 Trillion out of 3.5 Trillion!

Up until now, the cuts proposed by a lot of folks in Washington have focused almost exclusively on that 12%.  But cuts to that 12% alone won’t solve the problem.  So any serious plan to tackle our deficit will require us to put everything on the table, and take on excess spending wherever it exists in the budget

Our Defense budget (692 Billion) and all the rest of our Discretionary budget (666 Billion) totals 1.358 Trillion. Less than 1/3 of the entire budget… and non-Defense Discretionary spending isn’t 12% it’s 19%, but that still means that less than 1 out of every 5 dollars we spend is non-Defense Discretionary spending.

One vision has been championed by Republicans in the House of Representatives and embraced by several of their party’s presidential candidates.  It’s a plan that aims to reduce our deficit by $4 trillion over the next ten years, and one that addresses the challenge of Medicare and Medicaid in the years after that.

Those are both worthy goals for us to achieve.  But the way this plan achieves those goals would lead to a fundamentally different America than the one we’ve known throughout most of our history.

A 70% cut to clean energy.  A 25% cut in education.  A 30% cut in transportation.  Cuts in college Pell Grants that will grow to more than $1,000 per year.  That’s what they’re proposing.  These aren’t the kind of cuts you make when you’re trying to get rid of some waste or find extra savings in the budget.  These aren’t the kind of cuts that Republicans and Democrats on the Fiscal Commission proposed.  These are the kind of cuts that tell us we can’t afford the America we believe in.  And they paint a vision of our future that’s deeply pessimistic.

Actually, Mr. President, the Ryan Plan’s vision is one that begins to move on the path not only to prosperity and sustainability… but to constitutionality!! There is no constitutional authority nor mandate for ANY of the so-called Mandatory Budget… outside of interest on the debt that was unconstitutionally amassed! And within the Discretionary budget are many Departments, Agencies and Programs which have no constitutional justification for their existence as well! We could EASILY afford to fund a government which was LIMITED by the constitutional limitations they have ignored!

It’s a vision that says if our roads crumble and our bridges collapse, we can’t afford to fix them.

Actually, Sir, infrastructure IS one of the expenses AUTHORIZED under the Constitution’s enumerated powers!

It’s a vision that says America can’t afford to keep the promise we’ve made to care for our seniors.

We CAN’T! Our entitlement system is a Ponzi Scheme. A pyramid where those at the bottom pay for those at the top! The problem is that it’s an inverted pyramid and there are more dependents than the producers can support, and the demographics are shifting to INCREASE that problem!

Worst of all, this is a vision that says even though America can’t afford to invest in education or clean energy; even though we can’t afford to care for seniors and poor children, we can somehow afford more than $1 trillion in new tax breaks for the wealthy…

…There’s nothing serious about a plan that claims to reduce the deficit by spending a trillion dollars on tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.  There’s nothing courageous about asking for sacrifice from those who can least afford it and don’t have any clout on Capitol Hill.  And this is not a vision of the America I know.

“…More than $1 trillion in new tax breaks for the wealthy”??? WHAT new tax breaks? We have passed no new tax cuts – we PREVENTED the automatic INCREASE to rates that have been in effect for nearly a decade! No one is even TALKING about further rate reductions! So what’s he talking about? He views NOT making those increases in tax rates as a NEW CUT!

And how does he put a dollar amount of a trillion dollars on these failed tax rate increases? As we showed earlier, raising tax RATES is not directly proportionate to revenues. If he wants to increase revenues he should consider a further REDUCTION in rates which would spur economic growth and generate new business expansion, more jobs, more workers earning more taxable income etc.

No, the tax rate debate is not about revenue, or deficits, or budgets. It’s about wealth redistribution and that 2^nd economic myth. The Zero Sum Game theory implies that if you make the rich poorer, you magically make the poor richer!! It’s a fallacy… but the left BELIEVES it and promotes it!

Today, I’m proposing a more balanced approach to achieve $4 trillion in deficit reduction over twelve years…  The first step in our approach is to keep annual domestic spending low by building on the savings that both parties agreed to last week… But as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Admiral Mullen, has said, the greatest long-term threat to America’s national security is America’s debt… Just as we must find more savings in domestic programs, we must do the same in defense…  The third step in our approach is to further reduce health care spending in our budget.  Here, the difference with the House Republican plan could not be clearer:  their plan lowers the government’s health care bills by asking seniors and poor families to pay them instead.  Our approach lowers the government’s health care bills by reducing the cost of health care itself…That includes, by the way, our commitment to Social Security.  While Social Security is not the cause of our deficit, it faces real long-term challenges in a country that is growing older.  As I said in the State of the Union, both parties should work together now to strengthen Social Security for future generations.  But we must do it without putting at risk current retirees, the most vulnerable, or people with disabilities; without slashing benefits for future generations; and without subjecting Americans’ guaranteed retirement income to the whims of the stock market.

While I won’t state the Defense Budget is an untouchable sacred cow… Democrats have historically been eager to cut the lean with the fat. If we eliminate fraud, waste and abuse in the Defense budget, and cut wasteful or ineffective programs while BOLSTERING spending on modernization, research & development of new weapons systems and recruitment, retention, training, equipping and PROVIDING FOR our military personnel… then Military spending is fair game to be on the table… but don’t expect huge savings if these things are properly approached!

ObamaCare is a fiscal boondoggle and everyone knows it. The left can put all the whitewash they want on it, but even the CBO has continued to issue report after report… each worse than the one before it… declaring Obamacare as a money-sucking black hole that will not improve care, access or costs! Yet Obama is determined to preserve it, though the Supreme Court will ultimately find it unconstitutional as 2 lower courts have. Meantime businesses must make the expenditures to gear up for implementation that may or may not be funded, and may or may not be dismantled ultimately by SCOTUS. This uncertainty is bad for the economy – and recovery could be accelerated by simply abandoning and repealing ObamaCare utterly, as though it never occurred!

Social Security is about to go bankrupt. The President is correct in saying Social Security is not the cause of the deficit… but the decision under Democrat Administrations to eliminate the “trust fund” and “lock box” aspects keeping Social Security separate from the general fund of the US treasury IS a cause. Social Security might have remained solvent if it were not raided by prior administrations to fund their pet vote buying schemes!

The fourth step in our approach is to reduce spending in the tax code.  In December, I agreed to extend the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans because it was the only way I could prevent a tax hike on middle-class Americans.  But we cannot afford $1 trillion worth of tax cuts for every millionaire and billionaire in our society.  And I refuse to renew them again.

Beyond that, the tax code is also loaded up with spending on things like itemized deductions.  And while I agree with the goals of many of these deductions, like homeownership or charitable giving, we cannot ignore the fact that they provide millionaires an average tax break of $75,000 while doing nothing for the typical middle-class family that doesn’t itemize.

This is the most egregious Orwellian NewSpeak in the entire speech. SPENDING IN THE TAX CODE? Let’s see… So ALL our money is the Governments, and anything we’re allowed to KEEP is a Government EXPENDITURE???

Obama views itemized deductions… in other words, DOING those things that are deductible from ones tax obligations like paying home mortgage interest or making charitable contributions, is like sending the government a bill for payment? We know that leftists don’t like private charity. It is a competitor for Government Programs that buy votes! Why have a church food pantry when the government can give food stamps? And subsidizing private home ownership? Personal Property Rights? Another of our rights under assault by the left!

And what about that “$75,000 tax break” that millionaires get while the typical middle class family doesn’t get because they don’t itemize? If someone’s a millionaire, then with only ONE million that average $75,000 tax break represents only 7.5%! If they’re RICHER than that $75,000 represents an even lower percentage!

The STANDARD DEDUCTION for a typical family is over 11,000 so if you earn less than 110,000 and don’t itemize that deduction represents more than 10%, and the less you earn, the higher that percentage!

Of course, there will be those who disagree with my approach.  Some will argue we shouldn’t even consider raising taxes, even if only on the wealthiest Americans.  It’s just an article of faith for them

Exactly right. Americans are NOT under taxed. Congress over spends. As I outlined in my recent article: http://www.examiner.com/conservative-in-st-louis/after-the-shutdown-showdown-reality-still-bites, “…the revenue side of the equation is simply not an option.”

Others will say that we shouldn’t even talk about cutting spending until the economy is fully recovered.  I’m sympathetic to this view, which is one of the reasons I supported the payroll tax cuts we passed in December.  It’s also why we have to use a scalpel and not a machete to reduce the deficit – so that we can keep making the investments that create jobs.  But doing nothing on the deficit is just not an option.  Our debt has grown so large that we could do real damage to the economy if we don’t begin a process now to get our fiscal house in order.

Obama is talking to the true Keynesians in his own party here. They TRULY BELIEVE that they can spend their way out of debt… as counter intuitive as that sounds (and as false as it IS!). Obama has come to realize that, while he’s “sympathetic to this view”… that is, he, too, is a Keynesian at heart – but he recognizes that to hold firm to the theory would now be political suicide! This is a politically motivated moderation… not a change of heart!

Finally, there are those who believe we shouldn’t make any reforms to Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security out of a fear that any talk of change to these programs will usher in the sort of radical steps that House Republicans have proposed.

Here comes the dig that “Republicans will take Grandma’s check and give it to the rich while she starves and freezes in her cold, empty shack!” But Obama will make kinder, gentler “reforms”.

Indeed, to those in my own party, I say that if we truly believe in a progressive vision of our society, we have the obligation to prove that we can afford our commitments

Yes, you have that obligation… and to date you have failed to offer that proof!

“I still believe.  I believe in that great country that my grandfather told me about.   I believe that somewhere lost in this quagmire of petty bickering on every news station, the ‘American Dream’ is still alive…

The American Dream IS alive. We are the land of equal OPPORTUNITY, not equality of outcome. If you seize the opportunities with both hands, work hard, and are willing to take risks… there are rewards. The biggest danger to the American Dream is the threat that as soon as you achieve it, the IRS will be there to take it away!

In the late 1940s; Russian spies infiltrated the deepest levels of the US government, including the Rosenbergs who had stolen the plans to the nuclear bomb. America was threatened by a ruthless enemy in Soviet Communism that would not stop until the world was enslaved. When Senator Joseph McCarthy learned of the Russian infiltration of Washington, DC, he was determined to take the evidence public to the American people.

In his famous speech on February 9th, 1950, McCarthy brought public a list of 57 known communists working for the state department. These revelations took the American public by storm. Out of all the Senators and public figures in Washington, only McCarthy had the courage to stand up against communist infiltration. It was a deed that McCarthy’s leftist critics would never forgive him for.

ONLY 57 Communists? Good Grief!

If Joe McCarthy was alive today, and engaged in the same investigation, there’s a pretty good chance he’d have to use a set of hand trucks, or a dolly, to roll the current list of suspected communists, plus the socialists and Marxists working for, employed by, or otherwise involved with the US government.

We must remember, dear reader, that was 1950. It was early in the socialist movement in the American mainstream media, which would, as time passed, become so strong it would sanitize the socialist/marxist/communist movement to infiltrate the US government. Today that movement controls, approximately, half of the three branches of the current US government.

If the American citizen of today were as smart — and as well educated — as the Americans of the 1950’s we would be storming the US seat of government demanding a purge of our government and a return to a constitution centered government, the legacy of this nation’s founders, which has now been discarded in favor of a socialist agenda with the ultimate goal of creating a socialist/marxist/communist government in which the state controls American’s lives from the cradle to the grave –and – presumes to replace God with the state as the object of citizen’s worship.

If you doubt this, notice how the American mainstream media has assumed the position of Praetorian Guard to the Obama Administration — itself riddled with socialists and Marxists. In fact, many conservative commentators are convinced that Obama, himself, is a socialist. Some even go so far as to accuse him of actually being a communist.

Not today. Today, with political correctness squeezing the life out of truth, even McCarthy’s name is a dirty word. But that is what political correctness does. It stifles truth. It slams the brakes on any discussion of whether or not Senator McCarthy was right – or not. It makes certain a public discussion of whether the US government is held captive by communists, socialists, and Marxists is, in fact, true – or not darn near impossible.

Political correctness is an oft-used tool to MISLEAD the public, as well. Was Joe McCarthy all the terrible and evil things we are told … or have we been mislead? Political correctness is the tool wielded by the left to make darn sure the other side is never, ever, heard.

In modern America, we embrace socialism, Marxism, and communism. McCarthy saw it as the threat to America that it was in the 1950’s and as it is today. It is a cancer eating away at America’s soul. It is terminal. It WILL kill America.

And there is NOBODY standing tall and pointing out to Americans the evil disease rotting our nation from within.

Unfortunately, Americans bought into the propaganda from the left concerning the “evil” McCarthy. Believing it themselves, they became zealous in disseminating it to the masses.

But the truth has a way of surviving just about everything. Now we know from information gathered from studies of old Soviet files in Moscow and the famous Vanona Intercepts — FBI recordings of Soviet embassy communications between 1944-48 – the actual record of that period in American history is proving that McCarthy was essentially right.

Would it even be possible to create an Un-American Activities Committee today in either the US House of Representatives or the US Senate? The answer is an emphatic – NO!

Another question: Would the American people support such an effort? Here is the most telling answer of all – NO!

America does not want the truth because we are no longer capable of handling the truth.

And so we perish — at our own hand.

It’s poetic justice that Democrats, who are almost uniformly opposed to payday lenders, find themselves caught a bit short in Washington, DC. For those unfamiliar with the term, payday lenders are willing to loan short–term money so borrowers can get over a financial rough spot between now and the next payday.

Democrats hate the industry because the money isn’t free — like tax dollars! — and payday lenders demand solid collateral for the loan.

The Democrat’s situation in DC results from their failure to pass a budget last year when they were still riding high. With a Republican House, where revenue bills must originate, Democrats are reduced to asking for short–term legislation so the good times can continue to roll.

Technically it’s not actually a payday loan, since there’s no money. What Democrats want is the authority to continue spending Chinese borrowed money.

The problem is when it comes to negotiating House GOP leadership isn’t as tough as your average payday lender.

Republicans ran on a pledge to cut $100 billion from Obama spending as a down payment on reducing the deficit. $100 billion is a nice, round number easy for voters to remember. It’s so easy to remember that when the GOP fails to cut the $100 billion voters notice and start complaining.

Conservatives hoped Republicans would drive a hard bargain before agreeing to stopgap spending bills. And since each bill is short term, gimlet–eyed Republicans should be able to demand new spending cuts for each additional bill.

It hasn’t worked out that way. After almost three months in power the House has managed to cut a grand total of $10 billion from the budget.

The current spending permission slip expires Friday, April 8, and without another the federal government grinds to a halt.

Negotiations broke down over the conservative pressure for an additional $51 billion spending cut. Senate Democrats describe these new cuts as “extreme” and are refusing to consider the bill, preferring to risk a government shutdown and blame the GOP.

But let’s put these numbers in context. If the GOP successfully cut the promised $100 billion from this session’s spending, it would represent a measly 6 percent of the $1.65 trillion dollar projected deficit. Democrat’s last–ditch resistance to $61 billion in cuts proves their utter disinterest in solving the deficit crisis.

Republican leadership dreads the prospect of a government shutdown because they fear a repeat of 1995 where the GOP caved in and took a PR pounding.

But unless I’m mistaken, Nancy Pelosi gave us pedal–to–the–metal government with the tachometer way over the redline, yet she’s out of a job and John Boehner is Speaker.

Instead House strategy appears to consist of nibbling a billion here and a million there and waiting for 2012 when Republicans can capture the Senate and the Presidency. Senate Republican strategy is to push for a vote on a balanced budget amendment, which is trading the spending cut cow for constitutional magic beans.

Why delay an inevitable confrontation? It’s like the Japanese deciding to wait for the next tsunami to cool their damaged reactors and dilute the radioactive water sloshing around in the plants. In two years we will be trillions deeper in debt.

Plus GOP Senate control is not guaranteed and beating Obama is an uphill struggle. In 2012 Republicans could be in the same political situation and the nation deeper in debt.

Shut government down now and force the Democrats to make significant cuts in spending. Sure mainstream media will blame Republicans, just like they did in 1995, but the media landscape has changed. People get information from the Internet and FOX News. There are more conservative broadcasters who act as a counterweight to the liberal media. And this time government deficit spending is a bigger issue than it was in ’95.

Conservatives may lose the confrontation. In a country where many Social Security recipients appear to believe a cost of living increase means you get a raise every year even when you’re retired, a majority may want cradle–to–grave government welfare spending now and confiscatory taxes for their grandchildren.

If that’s the case, lets find out now, rather than wait expectantly until 2012 only have our hopes dashed then.

In Japan damaged nuclear plants are leaking radiation into the water and the air. In Washington a damaged political system is spewing toxic debt into our nation’s future. Delay is not a sound strategy. The sooner courageous leaders take the resolute steps necessary to shut both down, the better off Japanese and Americans will be.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. Those of my age—I am in my seventies—have a strong recall of the Cold War, fought from the end of World War Two in 1945 until the fall of the infamous Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989 and the subsequent collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. We grew up knowing that the Communists—Marxists—were the enemy.

All throughout that period, American liberals—Leftists—did what they could to ridicule efforts to rid the government of Communists, attacked those like Sen. Joseph McCarthy who spoke out against them, defended the likes of Fidel Castro who turned Cuba into a prison-state, and worked to “improve” U.S.-Soviet relations.

A book I wish everyone would read, liberals and conservatives alike, “Dupes” by Paul Kengor, went into a second printing in January of this year (ISI Books, Intercollegiate Studies Institute, Wilmington, DE). Kengor, a PhD, is a professor of political science at Grove City College. His book runs just over 600 pages, all thoroughly documented, and tells the history of the effort to impose communism on America and worldwide, dating back to the Bolshevik revolution in 1917.

One of the characters in the book is Whittaker Chambers, a former Soviet spy who came to realize how evil Communism was and who revealed how the administrations of Roosevelt and Truman were shot through with spies and those cooperating with the Soviet Union, the most famous of whom was Alger Hiss, a high-ranking State Department official. Richard M. Nixon first came to public notice as a Senator from California who ran on an anti-Communist platform.

“While Communists make full use of liberals and their solicitudes, and sometimes flatter them to their faces, in private,” wrote Chambers, “they treat them with that sneering contempt that the strong and predatory almost invariably feel for victims who volunteer to help in their own victimization.”

Socialism has had a long, hard time establishing itself in America and has mostly been the gift of the Democratic Party that held control of Congress for forty years until that grip was broken in 1995. Despite that, Bill Clinton was reelected and, halfway through George W. Bush’s second term, congressional power returned to the Democrats.

Then, in 2008, a virtually unknown Senator who had not even served a full term, who had no paper trail of documentation regarding his life, who had written two memoirs that hinted at his far Left upbringing and associations, was elected President. Putting it bluntly, Americans were duped.

As Kengor points out, Americans “in poll after poll, year after year, have described themselves as ‘conservative’ over ‘liberal’ by a margin of roughly two to one, by approximately 40 percent to 20 percent.”

The political environment of America is conservative, but it has been the growing number of independent voters that have determined election outcomes. That says something about the disappointment that both political parties have created with their emphasis on enlarging the federal government, excessive spending, questionable wars, and general indifference to the voters.

The independents also reflect the sudden emergence of the Tea Party movement that occurred to protest Obamacare. They and others have swung back toward conservative candidates electing Republican governors in New Jersey and Virginia, a Republican Senator from Massachusetts, and sent Allen West and Marco Rubio to Congress from Florida, along with a host of candidates supported by the Tea Parties.

Independents along with conservatives in America have been demonstrating a level of political resistance to senseless spending and the rough-shod imposition of leftist legislation that suggests the 2012 elections will “save” America from Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and their far Left minions.

The election of Barack Obama was the result of the greatest act of political deception in the modern era. It was aided by a news media that not only ignored all the obvious signs that Obama was a denizen of the far Left, but was surrounded, not only by Leftists, but Communists like Van Jones whose Apollo Alliance helped write Obama’s budget-bursting $800 billion ‘stimulus’ bill.

The revolutionaries of the 1960s had mostly migrated to positions in higher education where they could influence a new generation, oblivious to the carnage that has always accompanied a Communist revolution, killing millions. Younger Americans in 2008 meant that those aged 18 to 29 made up nearly one in five voters or about twenty-five million ballots. They preferred Obama by a margin of more than two to one, 66 percent to 32 percent. They had no memory of the Cold War.

Seeking to dupe Americans Obamacare was an act of raw political power that ignored the same widespread rejection that an earlier version, dubbed “Hillarycare”, had encountered. “We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it,” said then Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Its purpose was to completely socialize healthcare in America.

Americans, old and young, must not be duped again. The very future of the nation depends on the actions of a Republican-controlled House in the years remaining as America’s first Marxist President works his way, seeking always to make dupes of us all.

Complex Issues According to the Mind of a Simple “Tea-Bagger”

Chris Matthews has once again put his foot into his own oafish mouth with his latest rant, intimating his fellow Americans are a bunch of rubes, who cannot grasp the complexity of geopolitical events–much less domestic ones, by making the grand pronouncement of the ages:

“The tea-bag conservatives don’t get the complexity of the Egypt crisis.”

Not if we listen to you, Sir.

We do know how to read, however and what is provided for our perusal comes in the form of complex political analysis from illustrious personalities like the great Patrick J. Buchanan and Michael E. Reagan, son of our former beloved president, Ronald W. Reagan.

These shining stars of conservatism reject the corporate-imposed weltanschauung of  David Rockefeller’s Council on Foreign Relations, which has disastrously steered our ship of state onto the reef of illegitimacy.

The CFR world view promotes “democratization” for the Middle East as the prime mission of American diplomacy as well as the belief that democracy is a one-size-fits-all, to shape the “multicultural” paradigm imposed by an intrusive international banking cartel on host nations in both hemispheres of the globe.

Such a mindset, alienates the Islamic world (as if it were not already alienated) whose Koran preaches that usury comes from the devil.

This model manifests with the advent of the so-called “guest worker” for industrialized Western nations, which find themselves victimized by massive invasion from the Third World, which they cannot control.

The storekeepers of the U.N.  see the individual nation-state as fertile ground for the creation and social engineering experiment which will reduce sovereign countries to  human zoos of squabbling nationalities, modeled on the United Nations.  The wealth and populations of these affected nations are of course to be administered by banking swindlers who operate as zookeepers.

The U.N. used Iraq as a test case for future intervention in the affairs of sovereign nations–including our own–by the global community.  This experiment for intrusion into the sovereign affairs of our national life has been taken up as the unholy crusade of the Obama administration’s Department of Justice, which filed suit against the people of Arizona and took the case before the world body.

This treason coming from the Obama administration encouraged eleven Latin American countries to also file legal suit against Arizona under the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The final kowtow and humiliation of the United States of America was completed by an agent of finance capital–posing as the president-who had become accustomed to bowing before foreign potentates as befitting his title: “Citizen of the World.”

This is the legacy of rule by robber barons, which decrees that all nations will surrender their ancient cultures to a mish-mash of peoples,  who are systematically imported into a country to dilute the fine wine of its culture with alien concepts of “political correctness,”  modeled on Marxist “multicultural” paradigms.

Under this program, the sovereignty of the individual nation-state is beaten down into the submission of national eclipse, in order to pave the way for the ascendancy of Big Brother.

Marxist revolution is the tool employed to attain this goal, under the rubric “one world government,” with the attendant  manipulation of national economies to herd them into a “global currency,”  administered by the moneyed elites, when these economies finally crash under unsustainable debt.

Shall United Nations troops function as mercenary Hessians on America’s city streets when the dollar finally crashes?

There is a universal understanding among paupers of  the complexity of their plight.  It is government which does not understand the limits of human endurance–nor resolve– as it is administered behind the scenes by the money power.

The state imagines that what is best for the people is to draft new laws, thousands of pages in length, which our lawmakers do not bother to read and then declare like Nancy Pelosi did:  “We have to pass the bill, to find out what’s in it.”

“Merry Christmas,” from the Patron Saint of Irresponsibility.  One can now quit one’s job– which no longer exists anyway– for the state will fund your artistic aspirations of finger painting in a mental ward!

Attorney General of the United States Eric H. Holder could not even be bothered to read the sixteen page border security bill from Arizona, before labeling his fellow Americans “cowards” in matters of race, as well as leveling the spurious charge of “racism”  against the people of  Arizona…and by extension, America.

The American people understand the complexity of the constitutional crisis engendered by an usurper “president,” who willfully refuses to produce documents of birth and academic history, in clear violation of our Constitution.

Our court system and the media have both been complicit in the criminal cover up of Obama’s ineligibility to hold the presidency.

Obama’s usurpation is glaringly transparent.

LTC Terrence Lakin serves as a sacrificial pawn, by rotting in prison for the sins of the Obama regime.

The American people know that Resident Obama is “The Great Imposter” and an aberration in the pantheon of the American presidency, for he has no paper trail and the people do not know from whence he came–beyond Kenya.

We do know his associates and they leave a lingering stench.

The American people look at the nation of  Iran and then back at our own system, to ask:  “How does this nation differ, so as to qualify as a moral compass, when “President” Ahmadinejad, like  “Resident Obama” rules without the mandate of his people?   Obama is the Manchukuo puppet emperor of the Council on Foreign Relations.  We do understand certain “complexities,” as they constitute tyranny.

The total dumbing down process for America, initiated by opening the flood gates of unlimited “immigration” from the Third World is NOT yet quite complete.

It should not be too much longer until the fine vintage of the American way of life turns to sewer water, under a steady barrage of drive-by shootings, “honor killings,” terrorist acts and tribal warfare in our city streets.  These are the fruits of “multiculturalism”…total chaos for a society.

Perhaps We the People should return to the solace of our guns and bibles and let the elites spell out reality for us, as we observe the havoc our own government has wrought in the life of the average American.

The American dollar, once the standard of global stability, has been debased by 97% in value, under the legalized counterfeiting operation known as “Federal Reserve,”  the most gigantic Ponzi scheme ever foisted onto the alleged “free world.”

This translates to the complex issue of how the average American is going to pay his rent, bills and put food on the table, when his job has been outsourced overseas.

This writer will now mention a poor American he knows personally–a substitute teacher– who had to move so many times after she lost her home that she lost track of the fact that her car registration was overdue, confused by having to pay the registrations on the cars of her two adult children and bail her son out of jail.

Only last night this writer was in the car with the lady to witness rude sheriff’s deputies pulling her over and immediately barking orders, with a “command presence.”

These officers imagined they were being professional and stated as such repeatedly over the course of their interrogation, as they proceeded to jump all over her and threaten her with jail  over and over, while they finalized plans to “cuff and stuff” her, before this writer had to intervene on her behalf,  lest she be manhandled.

She had been asked to step out of the car and removed to the vicinity of the patrol car.

My friend was very nervous, because she was “talked at”–not to, after enduring a trying day playing prison warden and baby sitter for a bunch of illegal alien gang-bangers from Mexico in our city schools.

She had come from  thirty miles South, in San Diego, to borrow money from a relative to buy food because she was busted flat, after paying her bills, exorbitant rent for a tiny cramped apartment and numerous other unforeseen expenses.

The woman had no food in her refrigerator, no soap, no toilet paper, etc. and nothing to make for lunch at work.
She goes to work every day.

The deputies actually turned out to be pretty nice guys, after I began chatting with them outside the car and one even confessed to me that we are indeed experiencing hard times as he related the story of how just four years prior to his becoming a deputy sheriff, he had been homeless.

These men were trained by their department to adopt a really mean demeanor  and as a result, they were “just doing their jobs” in a totally inappropriate, intimidating manner, contrary to their erroneous belief that they were being “professional.”

I wish to say at this time that I consider sheriffs to be some of the finest patriots of our Second American Revolution.

The officers finally let my friend  go, but they took her car, leaving us stranded in the middle of the road, on the side of a hill, 30 miles from home.  My companion was crying her eyes out in outrage and humiliation, for the way she had been so cavalierly treated and threatened!  She begged for the use of her car to get to work; all to no avail.

Why couldn’t they just write a fix-it ticket?  Is this my new reality, “Mr. President?”

As  these words are written, the hapless teacher, who couldn’t even afford food, now must contend with trying to get her car back out of the impound yard, so she can get to work as a slave of the state.

The final coup de gras of the state which demands accountability from its citizens–as it comports itself as a criminal deadbeat and psychic vampire– was to let the burden of accumulated state debt fall squarely onto the shoulders of a poor teacher.

No wonder Americans who are now out of everything, are worked and worried to an early death.

Update:  The registration was $410.00  and now the car must have a smog test,  in addition to the impound yard fees. She did manage to get the car back, after spending the entire day on the bus, from sunrise to sunset, running hither and yon to this office and that one.

Shall we now discuss the “complex issue” of a government which is fourteen trillion dollars in arrears, and insists on running the money printing presses non-stop, to raise the “debt ceiling” so it can further squeeze the last drop of blood from the American people?

Perhaps life was better under the feudal Shogunate of Japan, where one’s misery could be ended quickly by ritual hara-kiri or  beheading by Samurai sword.

How is it that our lawmakers can kite hot checks on an empty bank account and then demand accountability from the people, who see their life savings reduced to nothing under rampant inflation–the real hidden tax?

The people must further endure out-of-touch presidents who pontificate on the virtues of a failed system, by publicly congratulating the person working three minimum wage  jobs, just to get by.  They paint a rosy picture of  a citizen forced to tread water, just to keep his nose above the surface, as if that were American exceptionalism at its finest. President Obama boasted of a 55 year-old woman returning to college to ostensibly “better herself” by racking up student debt, to train for a job that no longer exists.

These are not examples for our emulation, but our ridiculous leaders mock us with these “success” stories.

The American people understand the “complex issue” that they are debt slaves to a central molesting bank and that soon they will be pledging their allegiance to the United Nations as a vassal, when the dollar finally crashes and Red Chinese overlords claim American territory under eminent domain.

Our leaders and media personalities are the ones who do NOT understand complex issues.  They are in complete denial, until they too one day wake up to the fact that they will be standing alone–like President Mubarak of Egypt.

The American people have witnessed treasonous “American corporations” like Boeing changing their company address and national flag to Red China and helping America’s enemy to develop stealth fighter jet technology in blatant acts of economic treason against our country.

Former Boeing CEO, Phil Condit even boasted that Boeing would soon no longer identify as an American company.

Treason against our country has now become so commonplace as to be taken for granted, under corporate “sponsorship.”

The American people have already viewed the spectacle of their “president” running tattle-tale to the United Nations, to complain about “racist” America; the very same country which honored a black man with the most honorable position in the world, carrying vast realizations of power.

The Russians wouldn’t shake Obama’s hand.

A head of state who surrenders our national sovereignty to purview by the “world body”–the phony storefront of the international bankers–is the real “complex issue”–not Egypt.  To each, his own.

Americans do NOT appreciate condescending news personalities who are so full of their own hot air, they ascend to stratospheric heights of absurdity.

Thomas Jefferson called for power of the purse to be returned to the American people over two hundred years ago.  His mandate has yet to be fulfilled by the Second American Revolution, or the incompetent and illegal president who falsely claims the return of Camelot with the arrival of his administration on the scene.

The American people DO understand complex issues, as they are the ones who have to pay the price of seeing their country fall to waves of illegal alien invaders, who steal their jobs and annex their country for Mexico and the new Islamic global caliphate.

We the People, are witness to an illegal alien in the White House, who uses the law–under color of authority–to circumvent the will of the American people.   How is he possibly different from the deposed Egyptian president?

We “get it” that we are expected to bail out the banks, corporations and robber barons, who create Christmas want, by paying them Dane geld with borrowed money which has been stolen from the people’s purse, under the ruinous usury of fractional reserve banking.

The individual story of my friend who was accosted by officers of the law,  is the story of the American people.  It is the story of a people in debt slavery and bondage to the Federal Reserve.

But our leaders “do NOT hear” the anguished cries of the American people, as we are the ones who are expected to subsidize the whole planet with foreign aid, while staving off bill collectors; telemarketers; motorcycle toughs; the Mexican crime wave spilling across the border; criminal syndicates from a variety of countries; hit men; rude police; trigger-happy soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and intelligence agencies that might whack us if we get out of line.

Our troops deal with sabotage by Muslim recruits and our military is infiltrated by gangsters from gangland, receiving advanced weapons training for the streets of our cities when they return “home” to resume their nefarious activities.

Recently it came to light that the U.S. Army is unwittingly administering “murder drugs” to address the chronic shortage of boots on the ground, in order to stretch the performance of available soldiers.  It is the order of things for a country which has abandoned the republic to impose an empire for the vested interests.

These young, idealistic soldiers return home with post-traumatic stress disorder and soon find themselves “trigger-happy” until they end up behind bars with fifty year sentences in prison for murder.

Yes, Mr. Matthews the world is a dangerous place.  Thank you for no longer mocking us as “teabaggers,” as our noses are already brown from kissing the buttocks of the hostile corporate takeover which plagues this country as a cancer on our national life.

MSNBC news anchor Chris Matthews did not let a good crisis situation go to waste, by using the situation in Egypt to his advantage, in denigrating “tea bag types” on his  propaganda-posing-as-news broadcast which aired  1:48pm EST on Feb. 10, 2011.

Will this solon of half-baked “news analysis” finally go the way of the proverbial dinosaur and follow Keith Theodore Olbermann to the La Brea Tar Pits where old fossils of  fallacy become encased in the sticky tar of their own self-importance and delusions?

Lest anyone pay heed to broadcasts which stereotype and debase a wide swath of the American population engaged in the Second American Revolution,  it would be better to set the record straight and reply to these spurious charges coming from the left-wing extremist press, which is merely a tool of players behind the scenes:

Matthews suggested that the American people do not fully grasp the situation in Egypt and that a moderate weltanschauung should prevail, citing George Will as a thoughtful conservative, whom  he imagines to be equal to a “moderate progressive”(communist).

What the American people were really thinking is that the present crisis situation would be a good time for the average American to express his demand to defund the foreign aid being dutifully sent as tribute to a client state, in clear violation of the wishes of the American people and our Constitution.

Nowhere in the documents of the Founding Fathers does it imply that the American taxpayer is obligated to play Santa Claus to the world, nor to bail out robber barons who deliberately create social catastrophe, as part of their shell-and-pea swindle.

The 1.2 billion dollars in foreign aid sent every year by this nation to Egypt, should now be returned to the Treasury of the United States and redirected to ameliorate the distress of the American people, who find themselves under full frontal assault from all corners of the planet–not to mention their own degenerate government.

The deposed Egyptian criminal president is holding what belongs to the American people–not the Egyptian.  His billions of dollars in assets should be forcibly seized and returned to the American people.

The money slated for Egypt  could fill-in for the planned cuts in the American social  safety net and be delivered as an early Christmas gift to the Social Security Administration, to stave off the Ghost of Christmas Want for poor Americans.

Meanwhile, the discussion continues on Capitol Hill, regarding clipping the “entitlements” to seniors and the disabled–who already live on a church mouse diet of cracker crumbs–in order to make up for deficit financing imposed on this nation by the international bankers and their stooges, our so-called “public servants.”

How has thoughtful American government “made changes to accommodate the people,”  by redirecting the national attention to other theaters of revolution?

Tell us, Mr. Matthews how dumb we are once again, as it was the White House that hosted a Red Chinese musician, who opted to play a favorite martial victory song over America, of Red China from the Korean War era on the piano.   Red China deliberately  insulted the greatest superpower on earth, right under our very noses!

What is next on the play list for “his excellency’s” listening pleasure;  “Deguello?”

Matthews appeared on Andrea Mitchell Reports to describe  his take on the conservative response to the Egyptian revolution: “And conservatives are very fearful of this. They look at crowds like this, they don’t like the looks of them. They don’t like protests. They don’t like people in the streets.”

What’s to like about a Mexican occupation army of “guest workers,”  marching 500,000 strong in the streets of Los Angeles and running the Mexican banner up over  American buildings and federal installations as an overt act of war?

What’s to like about thousands of Muslims clogging the streets of Paris, France in public prayer meetings which bring traffic to a standstill,  in defiance of local ordinance?

What’s to like about an Egypt which will revert to an Islamic fundamentalist state once the strong man who has been a stabilizing force for the last 30 years is removed?

Saying conservatives “don’t like protests” is a gross oversimplification of fact, as the Tea Party has been doing its fair share of marching in the streets, to demand redress of grievances, but to no avail.

Matthews is not much of an observer.

Matthews cites the Maoist revolution in China, where 70 million Chinese were systematically murdered,  worked and starved to death as something to be emulated as positive change.  Perhaps he also feels that American corporations are also contributing to the national welfare, by moving to Red China.

The American people–including conservative  “tea-baggers”– will be the ones in the streets very soon and when that day comes, the United States military will have to ask itself the question as to whether it “can handle the truth” of the Second American Revolution.

As Resident Obama turns his gaze toward Egypt, he directly confronts his own future.  Perhaps he should now take his own advice for Mubarak and step down, before he too is removed by military coup.

One of the reasons newspaper circulation and TV news ratings are falling is because people no longer trust journalists. They are tired of being mislead as reporters select and distort news coverage to conform to the media’s ideology.

Monday produced two prime examples and both involved slanted opinion surveys.

The first was headlined: “Gap seen between public, General Assembly on recent stances.” The story showcased a Christopher Newport University survey that claimed eight out of ten Virginians supported a new law that would require background checks for all firearms purchasers at gun shows, including those who purchase from private individuals.

The reporter, Jim Nolan, predicts an obstinate Virginia General Assembly will ignore “the public’s strong preferences.” What Nolan doesn’t say is the survey was dishonest and specifically designed to produce an answer supporting additional regulation.

The question read: “Under Virginia law, in order for an individual to be able to purchase a firearm at a gun show from a licensed firearms dealer, that individual must first pass a criminal background check. However, that same individual could purchase a firearm at that same gun show from an unlicensed seller without first having to pass a criminal background check. This is known as the GUNSHOW LOOPHOLE. Do you support changing the law to close this loophole so that anyone purchasing a firearm at a gun show has to pass a criminal background check first or should the law remain as it is?”

There are two methodology problems that distort the results. The term “unlicensed seller” implies someone is skirting the law and gives a negative connotation to the listener. Second, using the pejorative term “GUNSHOW LOOPHOLE” is simply malpractice. Repeating the term “loophole” doubles the dishonesty. The technical term for this, aside from lying, is tainting the sample.

An honest poll uses neutral language. A biased, pro–gun control poll uses loaded language to influence results.

I’m surprised only 80 percent wanted to change the law, maybe a few lobbyists slipped into the sample. American’s don’t like “loopholes” that slippery people use to get by with something.

The only loophole a vast majority of the public would not support eliminating is one that allowed adultery; and even then women would be for elimination.

If the sponsors of the survey — CNU, The Virginian–Pilot and WVEC–TV — had been interested in accuracy, the question would have been:

“Under Virginia law, to purchase a firearm at a gun show from a licensed firearms dealer an individual must first pass a criminal background check. However, that same individual is allowed purchase a firearm at that same gun show from a private citizen without first passing a criminal background check. Do you support changing the law so that a person who makes an private sale at a gun show is required to conduct a criminal background check before he can sell the firearm to another individual or should the law remain as it is?”

This answer would truly reflect public opinion, because the wording accurately and neutrally describes the existing situation. The CNU poll does neither.

If a Republican candidate conducts a poll with questionable wording, he’s blasted for conducting a “push poll.” When the media does it, the poll is a public service.

Example two concerns Obamacare. This story claims strong opposition is at the lowest level since September 2009, once again based on biased questioning: “In general, do you support, oppose or neither support nor oppose the health care reforms that were passed by Congress in March?”
The misleading term is “reforms.” “Reforms” implies something was wrong with the status quo and the law corrected the situation.

Interestingly, the word “reform” does not appear in the Associated Press story, evidently because the term served its purpose in the questionnaire. Yet, even after cooking the books, AP still couldn’t get the desired outcome, so the reporter simply distorts the results.

He doesn’t tell you “strong opposition” levels are three times that of merely “oppose.” Which is the reverse of most polling, where general support or opposition is usually far higher than intense feelings.
Even more damning is that “strongly support” Obamacare is 21 percent, while “somewhat support” is 19 percent, almost a one–to–one ratio.

Successful political consultants know the side with the intense support is the side that wins and opposition to Obama’s “reform” remains far more intense, regardless of temporary polling fluctuations.
Recently the Richmond Times–Dispatch and PolitiFact.com have partnered to produce the “Virginia Truth–O–Meter” where august journalists evaluate the veracity of statements made by politicians after they filter the facts through their own ideological prism. The scale on the meter ranges from true to “pants–on–fire.”

My suggestion for the partnership would be to perform a real public service and broaden its focus to include another category of dangerous fantasists: liberal political reporters.

I can’t tell you how many times that I’ve read blogs, from both ends of the spectrum, that talk about African-Americans as if they are a monolithic voting bloc that will ALWAYS vote Democrat. We’ve all seen the videos of African Americans thinking that Obama will pay their mortgages, or that they are going to get “Obama Money,” from his “stash.” Since these are well-publicized cases, they are influencing our perceptions about an entire group of people. So, the question is, is that all true?

And, if is it really that way, will it change? You see, I question both of those assumptions. While the voting issue is true, what is the basis for it? History tells us that that after the civil war, most African-Americans were Republicans, and the first African American Congressmen from the south belonged to the GOP. We also know that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican. It is also true that Democrats were responsible for the Jim Crow laws, and that the southern Democrats resisted the civil rights era legislation vehemently. So, that leaves us with something that bears examining; why did African Americans switch to voting over 90% Democrat in every election?

To answer this, I think we again need to go back into history, and see what happened in the 60’s. Let’s start with some quotes attributed to LBJ.

“These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don’t move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there’ll be no way of stopping them, we’ll lose the filibuster and there’ll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It’ll be Reconstruction all over again.”

LBJ, Democratic President of the United States.

“I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.”

Those two quotes from LBJ are rather telling. For me, they point to a deception of action, as well as a deception of intent. Clearly, LBJ was suggesting that he could win the African American vote by making some promises, and delivering little…”just enough.”.

Obviously, these two quotes have been floating around for a long time, and many are going to suggest that they were never said at all. But, let’s take a look at what has happened, and see if what LBJ said has come to pass. After all, people can say many things, but it’s their actions that show their true intent.

Let’s take a look at some examples…

Welfare and the breakdown of the family:

The various welfare programs of the 1960’s had a tremendous impact on the African American family. Not long after the creation of these programs, the rates of fatherless families began to rise. They have continued to rise for decades, and now, over 70% of African American children grow up without a father living in the home. That was not the case prior to welfare, and the programs have been identified as the cause for this. As well all know, children raised in fatherless homes are many times more likely to have lower educational achievement, use drugs, and engage in other criminal activities. However, what has been done to correct it? Has the intervention of the government really made it better…or worse?

Or, was it, “…we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”

Education:

It is also well know that the educational system has failed our children. We also know that minority children suffer even more.

As for graduation rates…

The national graduation rate for the class of 1998 was 71%. For white students the rate was 78%, while it was 56% for African-American students and 54% for Latino students.

And for illiteracy…

Graduation, Dropouts, and Preparedness

• African American high school students are notably falling behind their white counterparts in graduation rates, dropout rates, literacy rates, and college preparedness rates.
• In 2005, only 55 percent of all black students graduated from high school on time with a regular diploma, compared to 78 percent of whites.
• In 2005, the on-time graduation rate for black males was 48 percent nationally; for white males it was 74 percent.
• Nearly half of the nation’s African American students, but only 11 percent of white students, attend high schools in which graduation is not the norm.
• In 2002, 23 percent of all black students who started public high school left it prepared for college, compared to 40 percent of whites.
• On average, African American and Hispanic twelfth-grade students read at approximately the same level as white eighth graders.
• About half of poor, urban ninth graders read at only a fifth- or sixth-grade level.
• The National Assessment of Educational Progress reports that 88 percent of African American eighth graders read below grade level, compared to 62 percent of white eighth graders.

Now, we’ve seen successful alternatives, but “progressives” in the unions attack these, and when President Obama was elected, he shut down the DC waiver program, which greatly benefited mostly poor, African American kids.

Instead, the government makes many promises, and insists on spending more money on the same failed system. Essentially, they end up purchasing more failure.

Unemployment:

The U.S. Labor Department reported on Friday that unemployment for African Americans increased to 16.3% in August 2010 from 15.6% in July 2010.  The percentage point increase was greater than it was for Whites and Hispanics.  Overall unemployment climbed to 9.6% for the month of August from the July unemployment rate of 9.5%.

So, the unemployment rate is higher for African Americans as well. Of course, President Obama has promised to focus on this, but he has delivered nothing.

Or, is it, “…we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”

As you look at this, it is easy to conclude that not only has government action/programs made the situation worse, but they also seem intent on keeping it the same. I would hypothesize that there is a reason for this: If government can keep any group dependent, they can then extract support from that group. They create a circumstance in which a large segment of the population is keep poor and undereducated, effectively preventing that group from escaping poverty. Then, every election cycle, the Democrats come foreword and tell that group that the other party wants to kill them, jail them, and take away all of their benefits. By combining dependency, poverty, illiteracy, and hate, they can convince a group to vote for them every time.

In essence, I believe that the Democrats have intentionally acted in a way to “Cloward-Piven” a large segment of the African American community, by making them dependent on government assistance, and placing roadblocks for individuals in that community to be successful. After all, a person may want to succeed, but if they can’t get an education that provided even the most basic of skills, and they are penalized for any positive effort by a prohibitive loss of benefits, will that person eventually give up and not even try? And, what happens to that population of people after generations of the same? I think we can project the answer to that. As I suggested in the post, “Why Hope can Kill the Progressive Agenda,” people trapped in hopelessness for generations forget that there is any hope at all. In fact, we see the results of these policies on a tragically regular basis.

This is racist. Not the bed sheet wearing, ignorant redneck variety, but the soft racism of the nanny state and elites. Through all of this, I think the Democratic Party is just a racist as they always were. They simple present it differently (remember “calling it something else?”). They don’t believe that the African American can succeed, so they are content to “manage” him. Why provide good education if they can’t do well anyway? Why present opportunity and freedom when they don’t believe that the African American can use those to their own advantage? Just build housing, send in food stamps, and have horrifically inadequate schools, and leave them to poverty. Through the decades, it’s what they have done.

So, I think the phrase “government plantation” is a completely accurate representation of the current relationship between our elitist government and the African American community. When you look at the totality of the problem, their actions show their true beliefs. In fact, the evidence becomes over whelming.

It seems like an insurmountable challenge, but I believe that there is incredible untapped human potential in the African American community. I say this because when good educational choices are available, African American children excel, just like any other group. Their scores rise to rival anyone’s, and all the negative outcomes start to decrease. So, it is safe to say that real education reform (ending government intrusion, union domination, and instituting real local control) would be the final nail in the coffin for the soft racist policies of the elitist left.

However, it wouldn’t end there. There are millions of people of all races that are caught in the poor education-poverty-crime-hopeless trap. To help them, or in some cases, encourage them, to escape, we’d also have to do a phase-down on the nanny state. Benefits would have to be restructured, yet again, to encourage success, and not penalize it. Caps and limits would need to be imposed to put an end to system-induced inter-generational dependency. That would be a difficult sell, but so worth it in the end.

The total effort would take nearly a generation to see tangible results, as it would take that long to begin reform, and educate a full generation of children. Once accomplished, however, the US would see a economic and cultural renaissance. As African-Americans, Hispanics, and other groups take their rightful place in our society, the US would be transformed. This would not be the “fundamental” government-forced change, but an organic one; based on ideas, innovations, merit, and creativity. Everyone would truly be able to advance to the limits of their own talents, skills, and persistence. We would cease to be a “hyphenated” society, as we would all be peers-truly equal in our opportunity, and respectful of the accomplishments of our fellow Americans.
