personhood-nowPersonhood: the legal recognition of a human being’s full status as a human person that applies to all human beings, irrespective of age, health, function, physical or mental dependency, or method of reproduction, from the beginning of their biological development.
American Life League is engaged in the ongoing development of what we now call human personhood apologetics.* When we see arguments against proposals that address human personhood, we examine them in order to discern how to effectively convince people who oppose our efforts that they are not addressing the subject – the preborn child – in the proper way. North Dakota Bishops Nullify Personhood

personhood-nowIn these times of “accountability”, isn’t it time that the American bishops be held accountable for the scandalous anti-life policies that too many of them have been forming and advancing for the last 40 years? No one can get straight answers from them. We cannot go back and undo history, but we can begin now to make history. Maudlin Mumbling

By literally politicizing the question of ending murderous acts against innocent preborn children, we did in fact confuse the question. Pro-lifers juxtaposed an expectant mother’s ethics (or lack thereof) toward her preborn baby with electing people of a particular party to advance the pro-life agenda. That agenda began in 1973, with a commitment to ending abortion period – no exceptions, no compromise. Read more »

LESSONS YET UNLEARNED: ELECTION ‘08 and PRINCIPLE

It should have come as no surprise that Americans voted their pocketbooks and their distaste for war, which is how it came to pass that on November 4, 2008, the nation elected the most rabidly pro-abortion politician in its history. Thus, the charisma of an appeal for “change” could become the death knell for even more preborn babies. As this epoch unfolds, it can only be hoped that November 4, 2008 will not go down as a day of infamy for the preborn, as the pro-life movement now wrestles with how to revamp its strategy.
