This writer was watching a program–about a Nevada homicide investigation unit last night– on television, regarding a drug deal gone bad. The detectives were covering the case of a group of Latino gang-bangers who had committed the execution-style murder of two fellow Hispanics. The killers were “doing jobs Americans won’t do,” by serving as humble porters and packing the corpses into suitcases for transport to their car trunk.

Various interrogation techniques employed by police detectives to garner confessions from the suspects were showcased. A sting operation was set up in the apartment of one of the gang-bangers, with a hidden camera and recording device installed inside the television set, to extract an unwitting confession of murder from the perpetrator. The Mexican national who killed the men bragged “I’m smart!” on tape, in front of his accessories to the crime.

This television saga of crime and punishment is directly applicable to the most current outrage coming off Capitol Hill, as the Speaker of the House has now directly implicated herself on tape as a severely incapacitated individual, i.e. mental defective, who has become a direct threat to the national security of the United States of America.

Nancy Pelosi has now appeared on film and uttered the words which by all standards of keeping the public safe from white collar criminals, would qualify her for a straitjacket and a seat in the rubber room. She is telling musicians and other creative types to just quit their jobs and the state will take care of everything by rewarding them with free health care. She imagines this “magnanimity” will translate to an “entrepreneurial” spirit, which will free artists to pursue their thing without the complication of having to work for a living.

This public parasite, Pelosi, is so used to living off the slavery of the American people, that she imagines herself in a position to bestow dukedoms to deadbeats along with baronies and baloney.

Pelosi made these remarks while speaking at the Capitol on Wednesday to the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Summit.

What was that about the Obama administration labeling the citizens of Arizona “irresponsible?”

This woman is as mad as a March Hare and she can no longer control her glaringly apparent insanity. She is an obvious danger to herself–in the form of a noble legacy–and others.

According to this bill, even if one is a bad musician, that places him on an equal footing with an artist who makes enough to purchase health insurance. Salieri, meet Mozart!

Never mind, there is no logic here to decipher. What stands for reason is pure unadulterated communism and Mad Hatter shenanigans.

If this writer were Rachel Maddow, he–Victor/Victoria– would call it “racist and illiterate.”

A blogger with the handle “SirAndrew,” summed up the Pelosi mind-set quite succinctly:

“I am thinking of building a 8ft tall model of the George Washington bridge using toothpicks & glue. I figure it will take me around 25 years at that time I will be 65 and go on Medicare .During the 25 years of creating this masterpiece ,I will file either for unemployment insurance that may go on for ever or welfare. I will qualify for an unearned Federal income tax rebate, collect food stamps and subsidized housing , free Viagra ,have a *** change operation at no cost . Nancy,you have shown me what a great country this is at the expense of those stupid taxpayer who vote Republican.”

The reason leftists and other loony liberals(Marxists) of the intelligentsia choose to marginalize the great American people, by labeling the patriots of the Tea Party movement as “right-wing nut jobs,” is because they are projecting their own inadequacies onto people who have a legitimate stake in preserving their country, from those who would destroy it, by turning it into Animal Farm.

It is the liberals of the Obama administration who are quite literally insane and they prove it daily by not fulfilling the will of the American people, but to the contrary, doing everything in their power to thwart the national resolve.

This latest utterance of Nancy Pelosi clinches the argument and stands as solid testimony and self-damning evidence that she can no longer conceal her irresponsible weltanschauung, especially in light of the fact that she has openly called for granting citizenship to Mexican invaders who break into our country.

Somebody must have spiked the water supply on Capitol Hill with LSD-25, as all of the lawmakers seem teetering on the brink of total cranial meltdown.

Or maybe those musicians are the mariachi street band members who want to “rewrite” our national anthem.

This modern-day Marie Antoinette has now advised every current and potential deadbeat that entrepreneurship has now been redefined. “Let them eat the toil and sweat of the taxpayer” says she.

Off with her bloody head!

So, the Tea Party Movement is well over a year old, and we’ve had the 2009 and 2010 Tax Day Tea Parties. Millions of conservatives and patriots have stopped privately growling at their TV news, and have started publicly expressing their views. The “silent majority” is silent no more, and the grassroots have become a force to recon with.

So what’s next? Rallies, signs and flag waving (whether Old Glory or the Gadsden flag) are great for what they are – a show of force of numbers… a motivation to the like minded… a chance to share information… even a therapeutic catharsis! But a protest rally in and of itself doesn’t change minds or pressure our elected officials. So what are Tea Partiers and Patriots to do next?

“Conservative Evangelism”!

We have much to learn from the early church. In the first years, 11 apostles and under 100 disciples utilizing personal contacts and small gatherings were able to spread the word to millions!

Now, while we recognize that the Gospel was also guided and empowered by divine providence – and claiming no such ordination by God for the Tea Party movement… we can still be extremely effective in sharing the “good news” of common sense conservatism if we first equip ourselves as good soldiers of the message. We must become informed enough to hold our own when making the conservative case.

Next, we must ENCOURAGE the “brethren” by motivating the like minded to also become involved. Not merely to vote in the general elections, but to vote in the primaries… to campaign for candidates that represent their views… to be informed voters… and to themselves become activist evangelists! This is the “IN-Reach” aspect of evangelism!

We must also faithfully perform the commission as OUT-Reach “evangelists” to make the case to the uninformed, the mis-informed, the unmotivated, the undecided and the unengaged. In other words, everyone who is NOT a committed leftist!

One-on-one “evangelism” has always been the most effective tool in the church, and it will be the most effective tool in the conservative arsenal as well. TALK to your neighbors, friends, co-workers and families!

Distribute conservative literature! A pocket constitution is a WONDERFUL start! How can we expect people to understand the assaults on our constitution if they aren’t familiar with the document! In addition, perhaps we should begin to produce “tracts” which present the conservative message on single issues in a concise bifold pocket sized pamphlet.

EXPRESS your opinions. WRITE letters to the editor. Maybe post on social media or create a blog of your own. And of course, WRITE YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS – OFTEN! Make them recognize your name!

Evangelism in the church is sharing the good news of salvation – and if you believe that you’re offering salvation from destruction that’s a true motivation.

Similarly, evangelism in conservatism is sharing the message of freedom, liberty, and opportunity. If you believe you’re offering freedom from oppression and tyranny – you should be strongly motivated.

The British, when they still ruled the American colonies, learned to their displeasure what a bad idea it is to pick a fight with patriots.

By the time the Revolution began the colonies had been running their own affairs for a long time and, while many saw benefits in being allied with one of the great powers of their times and their world, they soon tired of “taxation without representation.”

The colonists had no say in Parliament and generally regarded it, not the king, as the source of their problems. The British, however, had spent themselves into huge debt by pursuing various wars. Parliament saw the colonies as a source of revenue with which to dig themselves out of that debt. One way was to monopolize what the colonies could import and another way was to tax those imports.

The problem for the British was the long established practice of Americans to ignore any legislation or taxes they did not like. Decades before the Revolution ignited, a British official named Edward Randolph wrote “There is no notice taken of the act of navigation, plantation, or any other laws made in England for the regulation of trade. All nations having free liberty to come into their ports and vend their commodities without any restraint…” Apparently, Randolph noted, Americans regarded themselves as “a free state and do act in all matters accordingly.”

We tend to see men like Sam Adams, John Hancock, and Paul Revere through the gauzy haze of a distant time, but we should remind ourselves that they were real men trying to cope with an increasingly difficult situation.

Their grievances were real and they had grown up in a place where liberty, the freedom to worship as they wanted, to publish what they wanted, and engage in commerce as they wanted was not only well established, but valued above all else. They had a good understanding of the British constitution and the rights it granted. It was Britain, far across the Atlantic, that controlled their fortunes and, through a series of abuses, Britain lost their allegiance.

The importance of tea cannot be underestimated. By 1769, Americans were importing 900,000 pounds of English tea, but by 1773 that was not longer the case, in large part due to the Tea Act of 1773. It was a tax specific to the colonies. Americans began to boycott tea. Coffee would come to be seen as a more patriotic brew to drink.

Adams, Hancock, Revere, and others had formed the Sons of Liberty, a group that on December 16, 1773 boarded three ships from England, the Dartmouth, the Eleanor, and the Beaver, and dumped 342 crates of tea into Boston Harbor.

The event would become known as the Boston Tea Party and from that event today’s Tea Party members take their name. The source of oppressive taxes, unimaginable waste, and unpopular legislation is now the federal government in Washington, D.C.

Such events and groups do not occur in a vacuum. They are preceded by earlier abuses and in the case of the colonies there was a Stamp Act that was so strongly resisted Parliament repealed it. In Massachusetts, the royal governor and other officials appointed by the king were so unpopular that they were frequently under attack. Effigies were hung from an elm in North Boston that became known as the Liberty Tree.

There can be few more foolish acts by any government in power than to ignore Americans, to force upon them legislation the majority opposes, to bring shame to the nation in various ways. Patient to a fault, Americans have a long track record of opposing oppression that runs contrary to the U.S. Constitution.

By coincidence, I have been reading Joel J. Miller’s excellent biography, “The Revolutionary Paul Revere.” Made famous by a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “Paul Revere’s Ride”, Revere had made a long ride the night of the Tea Party to inform the New York Committee of Correspondence about the event. Another rode to Philadelphia for the same purpose. The ride immortalized by Longfellow was “On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five.”

Paul Revere, silversmith and patriot, lived to the age of 83, dying in May 1818; long enough a life to encompass the tempestuous birth of America in its earliest years. He would live through the Revolution, the original Articles of Confederation, and in 1787, the Constitution under which Americans live today, still enjoying the blessings of liberty.

In Boston, the church bells tolled his passing. One newspaper said, “Seldom has the tomb closed upon a life so honorable and useful.”

The spirit of Paul Revere and the Sons of Liberty still lives. America is home again to Tea Parties.

I’ve been encouraged that the Tea Party movement is growing and becoming better organized.  Conventions will be held to coordinate efforts, and even the MSM is starting to pay attention without the typical attacks.  We are having an impact, but to continue doing so, some things need to be considered.

Contrary to what the MSM has been saying, the Tea Parties are not a branch of the Republican Party, Fox News, the insurance industry, and so on.  There are Republicans, Independents, Conservatives, Libertarians, and even Democratic and Green Party folks involved (I did see some Green Party folks at a local event).  Therefore, the movement should stick with the three basic tenants that can potentially unite all of these groups: small government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets.  If battles erupt over other issues, the movement will fracture and fail.  Just ask the Reform Party.

The movement needs to ALWAYS be about IDEOLOGY.  Consistent with that, I don’t believe that there should be a national “leader” of the Tea Parties.  Do that, and it will become more about the leader than the cause-more about personality than ideology.   I’ve seem some folks postulating excitedly that since Sarah Palin is speaking at one of the conventions, she is going to become the “leader.”  I literally cringe when I hear such talk.  Don’t get me wrong, some “star power” supporting the movement is a great thing, but avoid having a leader that can potentially divide the coalition.  It’s about ideas, not leaders.  Keep it grassroots, and let the people run it.

We, individually, need to always question everything.  Yes, I know, it makes me sound like a 60’s hippie, but it’s a great way to keep us honest.  In all honesty, questioning everything is why I’m a Conservative.  I was indoctrinated liberal in college, but once I got out in the real world, and started seeing that everything I taught was fail, I questioned, and sought out information.   Then I studied Conservatism, which fits reality quite nicely.  We  can never stop questioning.   We need to be able to point out possible mistakes, potential issues, and absolutely never be sheeple.  In other words, NEVER blindly follow.

So why mention this here?  We always need to honest with ourselves.  When anyone joins something bigger than himself or herself, there is always danger in losing oneself to the group.  It can happen in any situation or movement.  People, no matter how intelligent or forthright, can get caught up in a movement that leads to nowhere, or worse.  Considering that there are likely liberal psyops in many groups, forums, or blogs, we have to keep evaluating things to make sure that we are always being true to the ideology above all else.  When we start compromising our idea, falling for false flag ops, or failing to see that a “leader” is misleading us, our movement fails, or we become no better than the Republicans or the Democrats.

I think, as well, that we can’t always “take our ball and go home” when things don’t go exactly as we want.   Yes, most of the Tea Party folks are Conservatives, but we’re not all cut from the same cloth either.  Some of us are issue oriented, others lean towards the libertarian side.  All is well with this; it gives us some real diversity of thought.  However, there is always the danger that we can fracture over smaller issues, while letting the larger ones go unattended.  If people stick with the three big issues, the others can be discussed and debated.  Let’s remember that the Constitutional Convention was NOT a hugfest.  The debate was often heated and contentious, but at the end of the day, the delegates, representing the best and brightest of the country, if not the world, gave us something incredible.  We have to look to their example, and within ourselves, to find the best way to move the movement forward.

If we stick with ideas, and avoid the pitfalls of previous failed movements, we can achieve great things.  If we stick to the ideas that unite us, we can accomplish some things that would make the founders proud.  Just remember, it’s ALWAYS about IDEAS!!

This quote is taken from the Oathkeepers website.  I’ve been aware of them for a few weeks now, but am now finally getting around to doing a post on them.  As the name implies, the Oathkeepers believe in keeping their oath to uphold and protect the Constitution.  Their oath is in ten statements shown here.

1. We will NOT obey any order to disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey any order to conduct warrantless searches of the American people, their homes, vehicles, papers, or effects — such as warrantless house-to house searches for weapons or persons.
3. We will NOT obey any order to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to trial by military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state, or to enter with force into a state, without the express consent and invitation of that state’s legislature and governor.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty and declares the national government to be in violation of the compact by which that state entered the Union.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control” during any emergency, or under any other pretext. We will consider such use of foreign troops against our people to be an invasion and an act of war.
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies, under any emergency pretext whatsoever.
10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

Oath Keepers is a non partisan association of currently serving military, peace officers, fire-fighters, and veterans who will fulfill our oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.

Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and not to any political party. In the long-standing tradition of the U.S. military, we are apolitical. We don’t care if unlawful orders come from a Democrat or a Republican, or if the violation is bi-partisan. We will not obey unconstitutional (and thus unlawful) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law. We won’t “just follow orders.” Our motto: “Not on Our Watch!” or to put it even more succinctly, in the words of  101st Airborne Commander General Anthony McAuliffe at the Battle of the Bulge, “NUTS!”

There is at this time a debate within the ranks of the military regarding their oath. Some mistakenly believe they must follow any order the President issues.  But many others do understand that their loyalty is to the Constitution and to the people, and understand what that means.

The mission of Oath Keepers is to vastly increase their numbers.

We are in a battle for the hearts and minds of our own troops.

Help us win it.

This, in my opinion, is an outstanding development.  I am pleased to see that many Americans are choosing to take on the responsibility of actually keeping their oath to protect and uphold the constitution.  While that comment may sound sarcastic, that is not the intent.  As we all are aware, we are watching an unprecedented attempt by our own government to water down, or outright eliminate many of our individual freedoms.  Distrust of the government, particularly at the federal level, is at all time highs.  I personally take great comfort that there are people in positions of responsibility willing to take this oath.

I would have to assume that taking this oath might come at some personal risk.  Given the federal government’s stance that anyone who disagrees with the POTUS is a terrorist, these people are facing probable investigation.  Given the extent to which government officials visit this blog (thanks Stat Counter), it’s not a stretch to believe that the government would also check on the online activities of people that take this oath.  Also depending upon the scenario, people taking this oath, and as well as depending upon their employment or service, they could face job loss, imprisonment, court-martial, or other punishments for upholding their oath.  These people are taking their oath seriously, perhaps at personal risk to themselves.  If you know an Oathkeeper, thank them and support them.  If you are in a position that may one day require you to participate in anything described in the Oathkeeper’s statements, please consider taking the oath yourself.  Just know that you will have made yourself some powerful enemies in the process.

During the decade of the seventies the “Silent Majority” was often spoken of in the press. Prominent politicians, including the President, openly sought their support. Well, where did they go?

Oh, they’re still here… and just as powerful as before. You see them everyday. They’re all around you. They are the folks you see at parties who stand around the edges of a group discussing politics. They rarely have any input into the discussion… they just absorb it. They’re the folks who do not sit in on the coffee klatch discussion on politics and world affairs.

They’re the people who go to church, nearly every Sunday, and raise their children to be respectful of others and live useful, productive lives. They send their kids to church supported universities and colleges for a good education, rather than an indoctrination in the ways of the political left.

The Silent Majority is the folk who never miss an opportunity to vote. They believe men died to give them that opportunity, and they will not abuse the memory of those heroic men by not going to the polls to vote. They are also the people who will not tell those taking the Exit Polls who they voted for. They voted in secret, it’s their secret, and they will keep it, often never even divulging it to their families. They are, for the most part, conservative in politics as well as religion.

These are the people who shop at Wal-Mart, and K-mart, and drive 2, 3 or 4 year old cars. Most own their own homes. They have savings accounts and they have a family budget, which they will not abuse. Their lives are built around their families and their church. Many are veterans of America’s armed forces. They believe this country is worth fighting for and they will put their own lives on the line to protect her. They view politics as a necessary evil. They believe they should always vote for the man who best represents their belief. They will not support a candidate just because he, or she, wears the label of the party to which they, themselves, are registered.

They wield enormous power. These people can make, or break, a presidential election. When they step into the voting booth, they speak, loud and clear. It is there that the Silent Majority rejects their silence and shouts their politics to the world.

Today the Silent Majority has joined forces with the outspoken Conservative Movement in America in a desperate attempt to save America from the clutches of socialism.

President Obama and our socialist Congress should be mindful of these powerful Americans. They see it all, and they hear it all, and they silently form their conclusion about who should get their support. Politicians, beware! You neglect the Silent Majority at your peril.– especially now that they have found their audible voice through the outspoken Conservative Movement (Example: The Tea Party movement).

Then — there is the Mainstream Media. The voice of the American left. They make fun of one of the mightiest forces in American politics. The Silent Majority never fails to notice the press’s stifled giggles; and their backhanded insults of the conservative politics of these very real, very patriotic, Americans. They see it all and… they remember… and they take those memories into the voting booth with them.

So, here’s to the Silent Majority! May God bless them!

But is America still a Free and Sovereign Nation where courageous men and women fought for the right of free speech, the press, worship, the right to keep and bear arms and real freedom?

Do we still teach our children about men like Patrick Henry who said “Give me Liberty or Give me Death?”

What does Veterans Day mean to you?

To me, Veterans Day, is a time to remember American patriot Patrick Henry who said, “It can not be emphasized too strongly are too often that this great nation was founded not by the religionists but by Christians, not on religion but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Let us remember that General George Washington led his troops in prayer before they crossed the Delaware River on a cold-snowy night to surprise the British and Hessian troops on December 26, 1776. They gained a great victory in the worst of conditions.

Our children should know of Andrew Jackson and a ragtag army who defeated the British at New Orleans in 1815. A young officer named Wade Hampton of South Carolina rode 750 miles in ten days to Columbia, South Carolina, and then to Washington, D.C. to tell President Madison and the country of the great victory.

We shall never forget that in March, 1836, a small band of men at the Alamo stood between Santa Anna’s 5,000 man army and the unprepared small army of Sam Houston. In the lonely monastery were Davy Crocket, Jim Bowie and less than two hundred men. Just three days before Santa Anna’s final assault, these men came into the Alamo, knowing their lives were at great risk.

On their last night on earth the Alamo men prayed that their battle would, somehow, lead to victory even though they would die. Their prayer was answered. A few days later at San Jacinto, Houston defeated Santa Anna with the battle cry of, “Remember the Alamo!”

Let us remember “1861” when our nation became two nations. The South under President Jefferson Davis and the North under President Abraham Lincoln, fought for four long, bloody years to decide our future. Both armies prayed to the same God for guidance. This war has many names but the United States Congress would officially name it “The War Between the States.” Since 1865, the Confederate Battle flag has been the blood brother of the Stars and Stripes as Southerners have taken their place at the front in all our nation’s wars.

Let us remember that in February of 1898 the American Battleship Maine blew up in Havana Harbor with nearly 300 dead. The Spanish-American War brought Teddy Roosevelt’s “Roughriders” to Cuba to charge up San Juan Hill to victory. Old Joe Wheeler, an ex-Confederate Cavalry General, was there with him. Wheeler got excited and forgot which war he was in. He shouted, “There they are, go get those Yankees!”

In Greensboro, North Carolina a six year old girl named Mary Frances Barker awoke to the shouts of a boy far down the street. It was 5 A.M., November 12, 1918. It was the paper boy shouting, “The War is Over, the war is over!” World War one had finally ended on the 11th day of the 11th hour of the 11th month of November in 1918.

The United States Congress proclaimed “Armistice Day” a year later on November 11, 1919.

On Sunday, December 7, 1941, the first word of the attack on Pearl Harbor came by radio. Newspapers did run “extras” that Sunday with little information and a lot of fear. This Sunday would become “a day of infamy.” On Monday the 8th President Franklin D. Roosevelt, during a special session of congress, told of the attack and declared war on Japan. His speech was broadcast on the radio.

F.D.R.’s closing words were: “With the abounded determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph, so help us God!”

Since that time there was Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq. We can not forget they we were attacked again on September 11, 2001.

We have, since World War II, seen prayer taken out of our schools and “Under God” in the pledge of allegiance under attack. Are we still a nation of God as we once were during the times of our founding fathers and mothers? With all that is happening in the world today, it seems to me that we may need God more then ever.

Armistice Day became Veterans Day in 1954. To forget our Veterans is to dishonor!

There has been a huge surge in the influence of the Glenn Beck Show on Fox News. Beck has become one of the airwaves’ premiere conservatives.

Be gratified that there lives such a patriot among us. There is no doubt about it: Mr. Beck handed America a victory when he almost single-handedly forced a radical communist to resign from the Obama administration.

Personnel is policy

Beck’s nightly program on Fox is to be highly commended. Both Beck and his investigative staff keep “We The People” informed about those with whom President Barack Obama has surrounded himself. Beck has told his audience to judge Obama by the people the president relies on because they share his Marxist ideology — and boy, was he right on this one!

Because of the heated spotlight Beck focused on “environmental advisor” Van Jones, this “czar” was forced to step down from his position. He took his anti-American, racist beliefs with him, but there’s little doubt he will lurk about and continue his destructive efforts to undermine our country. View YouTube Van Jones

Jones once served on the board of an environmental activist group that was founded by a director of the Weather Underground terrorist organization, along with William Ayers. Jones also co-founded a malicious black activist group called ColorofChange.org — which recently undertook to pressure major advertisers to pull away from Beck’s highly rated Fox program.

After the attack on our country by jihadist terrorists on September 11, 2001, Jones expressed his deep solidarity with Arab Muslims. According to him, they were “victims” of “U.S. imperialism.” There is so much more information out there to digest about this extreme “community organizer” that there isn’t space to list it all here. Rest assured, it is enough to turn the stomach of any red-blooded American.

Our country still in peril

There will be no celebrations or sighs of relief, however, as long as America remains seriously imperiled by this administration. Make no mistake: our Constitution was violated when our auto companies and banks were taken over by the government. We cannot let our guard down. The attack on this great nation, along with our liberties and freedoms, will not let up anytime in the foreseeable future. There will be no peace of mind as long as Obama and his cronies remain in office. “Morning in America” once again must be restored before there is a reason to smile.

Although Beck helped rid us of one of Obama’s more dangerous appointees, there are plenty more questionable people who remain within the president’s inner circle. Congress is full of subversive progressives who aid and abet the White House. Each and every one of them must also be taken to task.

Grassroots revolt

At this point, Americans are both angry and frightened. There are more people from every political persuasion listening to conservative talk radio. More than ever before, Joe and Jane citizen are tuning in to hear Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin with each and every passing day. Without any strong leadership in the Republican Party emerging, people feel helpless. That’s why a growing grassroots movement that began with the Tea Parties continues to put pressure on D.C. radicals.

What a disconcerting commentary on Obama and the Democrat Party when senior citizens, a vital part of their base, began to fear them. These people had every right to feel uncomfortable and distrusting; their very lives will be at risk under a Nationalized Health Care Plan.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel is the president’s health care czar. He believes in a cost-benefit approach to health care. The fewer years a person has left to live, the less medical treatment he or she will receive. The bottom-line resources will be diverted from the elderly to the youth. Call it by another name, but it is nothing less than rationed care.

The general public is outraged, yet as far as Obama is concerned, the debate is over. Socialized medicine will become America’s fate, if the president gets his way. End-of-life counseling will be forced upon our senior citizens. They will be led to believe that sacrificing their lives will be an appropriate and thoughtful act to perform for their families, for God and country — and whoever else the State deems worthy. Ignorant elite

As our country nears the anniversary of 9/11, though patriots will not forget what took place on that horrific and tumultuous day, this administration has weakened our security through willful incompetence. Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr., wants to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate our own CIA. Holder wants to know whether they might have committed crimes during enhanced interrogations of terrorists. Under the so-called leadership of President Obama, we’ve purposely become soft on terrorism. “The revolt keeps growing, from tea parties to angry town hall meetings across the country, an uprising against the attempts of an elite to force on us an all-powerful State, about as welcome as grandma’s cod-liver oil. Examples of revolt go beyond irate callers to radio talk shows. Take for instance the incident at a Frankie Valli concert recently posted on American Thinker, and the disgust and anger in Joe Sheffat’s article. Sen. Barbara Boxer encountered it, as did Sen. Claire McCaskill, who made the mistake of asking if she was trusted.

“The elite seem unable to comprehend that anyone could possibly oppose their infinitely superior wisdom, hence the strange and radical smears against the town hall opposition. No one could possibly have a better idea than us, the elite, therefore the town hall ‘mobs’ must be fakes. Anyone, like Ronald Reagan, George Bush, or Sarah Palin, who thinks differently than us, the elite, surely must be of lower intellect. Enough already!

Our country was built upon Judeo-Christian beliefs interwoven throughout our Constitution. Socialism is a stark contradiction to what our nation was founded upon. We want none of Obama’s redistribution of wealth and bigoted social justice. We’ve heard enough of the lies and double-speak coming out of the Oval Office.

We are people who were granted the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness by our Creator. In America, anyone can reach their highest goals without government interference — including, apparently, a Kenyan-American communist.

America’s eyes have been finally opened, and it is time to turn the tide. We see the relentless havoc this president has in mind to bring upon our nation from every possible quarter.

“We are coming.” Thousands of Americans will March on Washington, D.C. on September 12th to tell the president that he and his administration are doing a miserable job running this country. We want no more czars. Stop spending our hard-earned money and trampling our Constitution — honor it. Today’s Democratic National Committee has become a throwback to the Soviet Politburo, and we want none of it.

It is time the President listens. If not, he will have many more Glenn Becks to reckon with. We are coming.

Besides living a life that invites the guidance and gifts of God’s Spirit — that thereby we might be a blessing to our country and to those persons we encounter — it’s also vital that we become acquainted with effective tools for political activism, so we might fulfill our God-given duty as citizens and significantly multiply our influence for good.
Among the many grassroots resources that could be listed are the following —

• The growing selection of patriotic songs featured at America’s Revival. Among these are “Born in America,” by Neil Brian Goldberg; “American Tea Party Anthem,” by Lloyd Marcus; and “Taxed Enough Already,” by Craig Myers.
  Play these songs at rallies, Tea Parties, patriotic events, protests, and local gatherings. Such inspiring music not only has the power to stir people’s hearts to action, but opens their minds to truth.
• The videos at America’s Revival. These include “Rekindling the Spirit of America” (an inspirational appeal for a surge in citizen activism); “Declaration Principles” (a multimedia tutorial on the principles of the Declaration of Independence); and the “Constitution and Bill of Rights” (a reading with visuals added).
• The America’s Revival Discussion Board — where you can join with other Pledge signers in discussing important topics, sharing ideas, and building relationship with like-minded patriots.
• The State Activism section at the Discussion Board — a “bottom-up” organizing and communication tool available to Pledge signers.
• RenewAmerica — the parent organization of America’s Revival. RenewAmerica is a Christian media entity whose website reaches many tens of thousands of Americans each month. The site features more than 100 writers, up-to-date news on moral conservative issues, and a twice-weekly newsletter.
