It seems like a bizarre notion, but does Barack Obama want to lose the election in November?

I think he does!

One is struck by the way Obama has visibly aged in the job. He may well have grown weary being POTUS.

By any rational standard, one would say he wants a second term, but Obama has always operated in a fantasy world where mere words are supposed to translate into reality. And he has repeatedly talked about being a one-term president.

He is, after all, his own invention; the author of two memoirs of a life that had little achievement to point to other than getting elected first to the Illinois legislature and then to the Senate where he lingered a bare two years before running for president.

I raise the question because Obama seems to be deliberately irritating the very people who are supposed to be his “base”; the hard core liberals, the Hollywood crowd, youth, and unions, among others. His partisanship has put Congress into total gridlock.

When members of the Occupy movement showed up in Washington, D.C., one of them threw a smoke bomb onto the White House lawn. Others who have been camped out in a park there are likely to be tossed out if for no other reason than the place is overrun with rats and has become a public health hazard.

The decision to stop the Keystone pipeline is a deliberate offense to the unions that have contributed millions to his campaign. Why? It pleased the environmental groups like the Sierra Club and Friends of the Earth. Americans, however, understand the pipeline represented both jobs and oil, two things they deem worth having.

Then there are all the vacations Obama and his family takes. They have one thing in common. They are ostentatiously expensive. Obama or Michelle always seem to be going on vacation or returning from one. The characterization may be unfair, but perception is everything.

Americans are very keen on their military and, of all the government programs Obama could have chosen to trim, he’s had the knives out for the Pentagon since he took office. While a war-weary public was likely pleased when he withdrew troops from Iraq (neither Bush, nor Obama had a choice as the Iraqis made it clear they wanted U.S. troops out), the fact remains that the main news out of Iraq these days are bombings as the Sunni versus Shiite conflict has returned. Afghanistan remains a millstone.

Even in the face of a clear threat, it is unlikely that Obama would respond militarily between now and Election Day. The most likely scenario, however, would be an Israeli decision to strike at Iran before it becomes a full-fledged nuclear threat. It must be said, however, that Obama and other NATO nations have positioned some military assets in the Persian Gulf, but would he pull the trigger? It’s doubtful.

The most obvious problem Obama faces is unemployment. It’s variously set at anywhere from 11% to 20% depending on the part of the nation you’re discussing. It still is far too high everywhere and he gives every impression of being, if not indifferent to it, at least in no hurry to address it. Most certainly none of his programs have reduced it. His alleged “stimulus” was little more than a political slush fund that added billions to the national debt and failed.

Every President is subject to “events” and the likely default of Greece and financial troubles of several European nations are likely to impact the national election as Americans try to sort out what effect it will have here. Obama has already presided over the first downgrade of America’s debt rating and we shall surely be reminded of that in the months ahead.

The other event will be the Supreme Court hearing of the case against Obamacare in March. They may not issue a decision right away or they might issue one just before November 6th.

There are two lines of thought about the forthcoming national election. Past Presidents were relieved to leave office despite its power and prestige. (1) Obama may not like being President and (2) he has concluded that he will be defeated. He gives the impression of not caring about public opinion anymore.

The only people publicly defending him seem to have Attention Deficit Disorder. Either they haven’t paid attention to what a disaster his term has been thus far or they just don’t think it’s his fault.

I think he will go through the motions, but I also think a majority of voters no longer believe a word he says anymore.

According to Department of Justice whistleblower J. Christian Adams, AG Eric Holder has a certain something in his wallet. It is a quotation – and he has carried it for decades. It essentially says, to quote Adams, “Blackness is more important than anything, and the black US attorney has common cause with the black criminal.” It’s not surprising that Holder would feel this way about black lawyers and criminals.

Because in his case they’re one and the same.

Holder, the man whose misfeasance led him to drop the infamous Black Panther voter-intimidation case, now may have done what all corrupt men, sooner or later, eventually do. He has tripped up in his efforts to hide his misdeeds.

The issue stems from the Fast and Furious scandal, which refers to a gun-walking operation in which ATF officials allowed thousands of firearms to make their way to Mexican drug-cartel criminals. The operation was brought to light after a border-control agent named Brian Terry was murdered last December – and two US-government-supplied weapons were discovered at the scene. And what was Holder’s involvement? Writes CBSNews.com:

On May 3, 2011, Holder told a Judiciary Committee hearing, “I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.”

Yet internal Justice Department documents show that at least ten months before that hearing, Holder began receiving frequent memos discussing Fast and Furious.

Note, again, that these were “frequent memos.”

Of course, Holder is now trying to massage the issue. The DOJ’s latest line is, writes CBS News, “Holder misunderstood that question [about when he learned of the operation] from the committee – he did know about Fast and Furious – just not the details.”

This nonsensical cop-out speaks for itself, so let’s discuss the reality of the matter. Holder could have lied to the Judiciary Committee. The other possibility is that he is suffering memory loss and is so incompetent that he didn’t brief himself on a brewing major scandal on which he was going to testify in front of a congressional committee. I’m betting I know which one is the answer.

The Republicans now want to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Holder and his fast-and-furious dance of deception. And I say, dig long and dig deep. Because with the amount of dirt in Holder’s closet, you’ll find that Obama has created at least one shovel-ready job.

As for my title, it may seem odd jumping from Holder’s bigotry to his alleged criminality. But it’s as with powerful 1920s KKK leader D.C. Stephenson, who, while claiming to be a defender of morality and womanhood, ended up brutally raping and killing a lady named Madge Oberholtzer. Bigotry is a sign of personal corruption – and it usually doesn’t end there.

And I’ll conclude by making a request of our post-racial president’s attorney general. Mr. Holder, you once said that Americans were “cowards” in the area of race. Well, then, brave man, do you have the sand to come out of the closet? Produce that card from your wallet; proudly proclaim the beliefs you’ve long held so dear. Or is it that, deep down, the color other than red that epitomizes you most is yellow?

Saul Alinsky & Lucifer

Saul Alinsky is the father of community organizing, the Marxist-anarchist who so profoundly inspired generations of Democrat insurrectionists, including a young Barack Obama who in 1985 become a community organizer in Chicagoland and in the 1990s did legal work for ACORN, one of the most reactionary and fraudulent community organizations in America.

Alinsky also inspired a former first lady and would-be president, Hillary Rodham Clinton, who in 1969 wrote her senior thesis at Wellesley extolling this villain who influenced generations of community organizations like – ACLU, La Raza, NOW, NAMBLA, PETA, AFL-CIO, NAACP, ACORN, Congressional Black Caucus, Human Rights Campaign, George Soros-funded socialist groups, LGBT agenda (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) and many other liberal mafia pressure groups.

To whom did Saul Alinsky dedicate his manifesto “Rules for Radicals”? — a book whose purpose was to deconstruct Christian nations and Western free-market republics. Let us read the dedication in the author’s own words:

Gideon

In my Sunday school class last week, we studied the story of Gideon found in Judges chapters 7 and 8. Before he became a great judge of Israel, Gideon was a cowardly farmer who in fear threshed wheat in a winepress pit to prevent the pagans from stealing it. However, he had an epiphany, embraced God’s calling on his life, repented, destroyed his father’s pagan idols and, with an army of only 300 men, totally routed the Amalekite-Midianite legions of which the Bible said numbered so many soldiers and camels that it was “a host without number.”

After this stupendous victory, Gideon had the unwise idea to collect a portion of gold from all his soldiers whereby he fashioned an ephod to commemorate the battle victory God gave Israel. After Gideon’s death, the Jews turned that ephod into an idol of pagan worship, causing the judgment of God to fall on Israel yet again.

Gideon teaches us that good intentions often lead to tragic consequences. So it is with America’s greatest liberal progressive presidents: Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Nixon, Clinton and Obama. All of these men had “good” intentions by stealing money from the rich and redistributing it to the poor who didn’t earn it. In the end, all that their Marxist, socialist, Keynesian schemes achieved was endemic laziness, societal ignorance, pathology and making Americans voluntary slaves to an ever-expanding government which grows at about $4 billion per day to our present $14.5 trillion debt.

American Loyalists

Mr. Milt Harris, one of my radio colleagues on Joshua’s Trail, had these profound words regarding the history of liberal Democrats, which from its beginnings was confederate with treason. In his monologue Milt said:

On the political front ever since George Washington defeated the British in 1781 at the Battle of Yorktown, Americans loyal to Britain, known as Loyalists, rather than accept defeat, began a siege to undermine the new nation. Later, in order to clandestinely expand their siege, they founded the Democrat Party so they could enact politically damaging anti-Constitution legislation.

Now, 230 years later, the political descendants of the Loyalists (the Democratic Party) still dominate politics in all of the New England States including from Maine to as far south as Virginia.

Obama as FDR II

One will never understand who President Obama is, the man, unless you have a rudimentary understanding of history, politics, philosophy and economics. Obama is the liberal establishment’s dream: the apotheosis and embodiment of all the fascist, atheist, anti-intellectual, nitwit liberal ideas pontificated in college lecture halls, spoken in university faculty lounges and written in books and academic journals few people have ever read.

Socialists like Barack and Michelle Obama, Rahm Emmanuel, David Axelrod, Hillary Clinton, Tim Geithner, Lawrence Summers, Wasserman-Schultz, Cornel West, Melissa Harris-Perry, and Obama’s Supreme Court nominees, Sonya Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, despite their Ivy League pedigree, show virtually no moral understanding of law, history, politics, economics or philosophy, no critical thinking or logic skills and appear to have accepted utterly the vile, myopic propaganda of their Marxist professors without question.

This groupthink mentality reminds me of FDR’s adoption of Mussolini’s aphorism: “Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.”

Conclusion

The French Revolution (1789-99) was an overt war by liberal intellectuals in France against Christianity, the church, the clergy, and came at the end of the Age of Enlightenment (1650-1800) and before the later romantic movements of Darwinian evolution, Marxist socialism and Nietzsche’s relativism and atheism which all led directly to the decline of Western civilization. The previous intellectual trinity of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, was replaced with the imposter trinity: Marx, Darwin and Nietzsche (with Sigmund Freud thrown in for good measure).

Long before the Pilgrims, the Puritans and the founding of America in 1607, liberalism in all of its myriad of permutations, shadows and disguises infected the history of humanity – from Nimrod’s Tower of Babel (precursor to the United Nations), Baal worship, idolatry, materialism, paganism, witchcraft, doctrine of Jezebel (pagan worship of god through sex), doctrine of Molech (child sacrifice [i.e., abortion]), to slavery, secular humanism, democracy, Darwinism, communism, socialism, unionism, progressivism and living constitutionalism – it’s all liberal fascism, it’s all anti-God, anti-intellectual and Obama is using these pernicious ideas to purposely destroy America and deconstruct the U.S. Constitution so that he, the Democratic Party and its globalist allies can rule into perpetuity.

Here we go again, a bunch of fanatics disrupt a public hearing screaming “safe” and “legal” in an obvious effort to block sensible, long overdue regulations that protect health and are supported by a majority of the public.

Furthermore, the only reason these abominations are allowed in the marketplace is because some biased judge made a legally indefensible ruling that flies in the face of public opinion and a sophisticated, modern reading of the Constitution.

Don’t these gun and tobacco mouth–breathers ever get tired of peddling their anti–scientific propaganda? Have they no shame?

Oh, wait. Check signals. This wasn’t the National Rifle Association and Joe Camel disturbing the peace. It was “progressive” Democrats and feminists claiming abortion is “safe” and “legal” and should therefore be immune to regulation — just like handguns.

The occasion for this wailing and gnashing of teeth was the Virginia Board of Health’s decision to once again regulate abortion clinics just as it did prior to 1984.

Briefly, the reinstituted rules require abortion mills that perform five or more first–trimester lethal injections each month to meet the same standards as out–patient surgery centers where customers are expected to survive.

This means just like nail salons, barber shops and funeral parlors; abortion clinics will have to meet state regulations and undergo periodic inspections.

This was too much for the Virginia Coalition to Protect Women’s Health, “The regulations are a backdoor attempt to deny women access to a safe, legal medical procedure…they must protect women’s access to affordable, high quality reproductive health care.”

Wow! For a minute there I thought they wanted the baby to survive, until I recalled that feminists don’t associate “reproductive health care” with actual reproduction.

Corrina Beall, a recent college graduate with what appears to be a very active and spontaneous sex life, complained, “The young women rely on these services. I rely on these services. The families of Virginia rely on these services, and my generation relies on these services.”

And the editorialists at the Washington Post thundered, “It’s already hard to get an abortion in Virginia, and it’s about to get much harder.” This stretches credulity since the number unborn babies executed last year totaled 26,000. What increase in the carnage would make the worthies at the Post more comfortable? Are 40,000 deaths sufficient? 50,000? How high must the pile be?

Smoking is legal, too, yet federal regulators are now proposing to require lurid photos on cigarette packs to deter smoking through the use of shock — an idea I think should be extended to all Planned “Parenthood” offices — and states and cities have almost outlawed the practice within sniffing range of any non–smoker.

By comparison, abortionists are getting off easy and for the foreseeable future won’t be joining smokers in back alleys. Currently the rulebook for abortion clinics weighs in at 26 pages of regulations. This compares well with the regulatory burden imposed on tattoo parlors, which totals 25, and is somewhat smaller than the regulation total for body piercing. Of course those establishments only participate in the death of restraint, rather than actual death like abortion clinics.

For “progressives” death–by–regulation is a reasonable and accepted strategy if you’re talking about offshore drilling, nuclear power or even capital punishment. But when it comes to regulating death in an abortion clinic, any regulation is too much.

Right now complaints are being heard regarding rules that specify the size of exam rooms, width of hallways, unannounced inspections and medical procedures.

The rule booklet even requires a certain number of parking spaces based on clinic size. “Progressives” believe this kind of nit–picking is fine if you are regulating something dangerous like a church, but completely over the top when applied to an innocent abortion emporium.

Virginia even has the gall to require patient records be kept and open to unannounced inspection. Where’s the precedent for this? Don’t pharmaceutical companies, nuclear power plants, offshore oilrigs, hospitals and airlines all self–report and we take their word for the safety of their products and procedures?

The abortion industry is built on the death of innocents and a flight from personal responsibility — all while hiding behind the euphemism of “choice.”

“Progressives” boast their policies are based on science and not superstition. These Darwinian social justice crusaders proclaim that science states unequivocally that human life originated from a single–cell organism that appeared eons ago.

Yet when it comes to any single–cell organisms lurking in the womb, the jury’s out on whether it’s human until it gets a slap from the doctor or a dose of herbal tea from the midwife.

Until fairly recently in America patriotism was defined as “devotion to one’s own country and concern for its defense.” Nationalism was considered “devotion to the interests or culture of one’s nation.” Both were, in my opinion, GOOD things.

No longer.

The political left has striven tirelessly over the past generation to push America into their dream of global governance, of a one-world government, and a world without borders. Add to this leftist hallucination — socialism as the accepted form of world government and you have a perfect formula for a world continuously at war, of a world where famine wrecks havoc in backwards nations, a world where there are bloody religious conflicts, a world where financial uncertainty brings anarchy to the streets of major metropolitan areas around the globe.

Then remove the one nation that has for decades served as the guiding authority to a world seeking some kind of stability, and we have, well, we have the world we live in today.

In America, a group of citizens concerned that their government was no longer listening to them, was no longer responding to the real problems inside America and pressing Americans to accept the leftist dream of a socialist government and redistribution of the wealth of America, from Americans who earned their wealth to those who did not, said: “ENOUGH!”

That movement grew with the ferocity of an American prairie fire. It grew from the grassroots of America and it spread from coast to coast and border to border in unbelievable rapidity.

These Americans demanded that the US government constrain itself to the confines of the US Constitution. They further demanded frugality and common sense from our national legislature. And they made a promise, too. They promised the politicians of the American republic that if they did not return to the fundamentals upon which America’s very foundation had been built, they would be replaced at the earliest election.

They called themselves the Tea Party, even though they were not, in truth, a political party so much as a political movement. “TEA” in their name is an acronym. It stands for: “Taxed Enough, Already.”

They were not ashamed of their devotion to the Founding documents of America – the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution with all 27 of its amendments known as “The Bill of Rights.” And they were not afraid to express their love for their country, or their patriotism and their devotion to America’s unique culture, which was formed in a crucible containing bits of culture from most other nations of the world as well as from those ancient Americans we proudly refer to as Native Americans.

Their fervor for a government defined by the constitution blind-sided the political left in the government, in the world of academia, in the mainstream media, in the religious community of America, and in all fifty states of the USA.

The political right in America, which had adopted a “go along to get along” philosophy of governing, was caught flat-footed and sent reeling by the audacity of their tea party constituents who confronted them at every opportunity and told them, in no uncertain terms, to either shape-up, or they would be shipped-out at the next election.

The “next election” occurred in November of 2010. The Congress was turned on its head. There was the largest turnover of seats in both houses in over 60 years! It was monumental and it was historic. The politicians, both left and right, who had discounted the Tea Party movement’s power and determination, were shocked with incredulity!

They had forgotten that the citizens of America are, indeed, AMERICANS! Many of those politicians paid for their disbelief with their political careers prematurely ended.

Today, the political left is frightened witless of the Tea Party. As another likely historic election approaches, in their fear they are lashing out in all directions! They are pointing their guilty fingers at the wholly American Tea Party movement with fantastic accusations blaming the Tea Party for everything from the biblical flood to the near financial collapse of America.

The left KNOWs there is an accounting coming, in November of 2012, and THEY are on the wrong side of the of the argument over America’s future, either as a socialist nation or — as a democratic representative government that listens and responds to the voice of its people.

With each accusation from the left, the Tea Party movement grows in strength, in numbers, and in its determination to purge the US government of those who would impose a European-style socialist government and culture on Americans. The defenders of an “open borders” policy for America will be shown the door and removed from office. Those politicians who seek to continually enlarge the government, and increase its intrusion into the lives of Americans, ought to be searching the want ads for employment for they will most certainly be without jobs in November of 2012.

Between now and the election in 2012, the democrats, the political left in the press, and the limousine liberals and progressives, with their mountains of money, will attack the Tea Party directly, and indirectly with front organizations funded by huge infusions of cash from the super-rich leftist power brokers from around the globe. In fact, the counter attack by the left has already begun.

If there is any doubt, listen for the same phrase or phrases used by the democrats, the media, the academics, and the leftist entertainment moguls. Pay attention to how it is used over and over again (changing every few days) to defame the Tea Party movement. The repeated use of the same phrase in interviews, in press releases, by journalists and columnists, in TV programs, in movies, and even from the pulpit, is all the evidence you need to recognize it as a planned, coordinated attack in the left’s attempt to crush or emasculate the Tea Party.

Far from being a deterrent to good government in America, the Tea Party has brought some sanity back to Washington, DC. They deserve accolades, not accusations, and they deserve — and — need the support of Americans who desire a free and prosperous America once again.

I cheated death last Saturday. I went outside to work in the yard. No doubt, in light of the last week’s crippling heat wave smothering the East Coast, you think my decision foolhardy.

Here we had Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Incompetano hovering over the DC area in her helicopter — Grope One — burning up the bullhorn batteries as she ordered people to have their ID ready and move into nearby shade.

There was the heart–rending video of the long lines of women and children waiting patiently to be admitted into the cool, subterranean interior of Greenbrier, VA’s Cold War–era Congressional missile shelter after it was opened to the public.

And who could forget coverage of PEPCO executives furtively stopping at 7/11 to hire a coyote to smuggle them across the Mexican border — one step ahead of an enraged customer base that was not only without power and air–conditioning, but also left without shade after roving bands of PEPCO’s pruning trucks had scalped their trees.

For a while I was so caught up in the fear of the sun god’s wrath that when I spotted a foursome on the golf course it was all I could do to not to slam on the brakes and burst out of the car shouting, “Save yourselves!”

So of course I fully expected to be vaporized like a mosquito in a Bug Zapper the minute I set foot out the door. But instead of becoming a particulate cloud that contributes to “Global Warming!” I found myself hot, sweaty and alive just like I’ve been in every other summer during my lifetime.

Government officials and TV hairdos like to portray heat hysteria warnings as a public service to keep people “safe.” But it’s actually just another step down the road to the complete infantilization of America by a self–appointed group of we–know­–best busybodies who don’t think the average American has enough sense to come in out of the sun.

There was less concern shown over the fate of the intrepid Fukushima nuclear plant workers exposed to potentially lethal doses of radiation than there was over Yankees wandering out into the sunshine.

Athletes sometimes enter a hyperbaric chamber that creates a pressurized environment that exposes them to increased concentrations of oxygen. The theory is more oxygen promotes healing and recovery.

We are forced to live in a hyperbolic chamber exposed to exaggerated high–pressure warnings, alarms and rules for living. The theory being more exposure to hysteria promotes a citizenry that no longer relies on its own wits and instead is afraid to make a move without consulting some government “expert” for guidance.

As a result the Manassas Battlefield Park canceled all outdoor activities during one afternoon of the 150th anniversary celebration, because the summer became hot. When the real hazard for tourists was sprains and broken bones from stumbling over drifts of bottled water cluttering the landscape after we were carpet–bombed by Air H2O.

My son’s undefeated Rugby team missed three games when opponents canceled after deciding they would rather be safe than sweaty. [I suppose this means the sport’s supporters are going to have to order longer bumper stickers since the game’s motto has evidently changed from “Give Blood. Play Rugby.” to “Give Blood. Play Rugby. (But only at night.)”]

Regular readers know I hold moral equivalency in low esteem, but I think we could use a bit of mortuary equivalence when worrying about summer heat. There are an average of 268 accidental deaths per day in the US. Heat is often described as “the number one weather–related killer in the United States,” yet the highest yearly recorded total of heat–related deaths from 2001 to 2010 was only 138, less than half of the average daily total from accidental death.

Let me go on record as fully supporting the concept that summer is hot. No former resident of West Texas and Houston will dispute that. But summer has always been hot and our “heat wave” was no big deal. The serious 1980 heat wave (before the invention of “Global Warming”) caused more than 1,250 deaths and DFW–area temperatures exceeded 100 degrees for over 30 consecutive days, but North Texas did not close up shop.

Certainly if you are obese, unfit or elderly (or even two out of three!) exposure to the summer’s heat can pose a problem, just like exposure to the winter’s cold can make life difficult.

But it’s not Ovenmageddon.

If a mere one week of warm weather can throw us into a panic I wonder how this pampered, fearful generation is going to respond when it meets a real crisis?

You may recall during the failed fight over imposing term limits on members of Congress the Stasis Caucus argued that the country could not afford to deprive itself of the “leadership” and “experience” of veteran legislators.

In a country where the feds require you to put a sell–by date on water, the argument was politicians only get better as marinate over the decades in the heady atmosphere of Washington, DC.

Well here’s what 27 years in the Senate brings conservatives who view the debt ceiling fight as the first real opportunity to force the Obama abomination to reduce spending: Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell offers a debt ceiling “contingency” plan that combines pre–emptive surrender with the approval of Nancy Pelosi.

Meanwhile, Sen. Tom Coburn (R – OK), who is in the last term of the two he’s pledged to serve, offers a list of $9 trillion in potential budget cuts on Tuesday.

The contrast speaks for itself.

Coburn represents voters who want spending cut and believe the debt ceiling negotiations represent a golden opportunity. McConnell offers a plan the Washington Post describes as, “offering President Obama new authority to raise the federal debt limit without cutting government spending” and then boasts in a news conference that, “What we’re not going to be a party to — in the Senate, I’m pretty confident — is default.” Meaning McConnell has lost touch with both reality and Republicans.

This is an epic confrontation. Democrat spenders and their media enablers versus Republicans who believe there is no time like the present to cut spending. House Republicans have the power to block any debt ceiling increase that does not require significant and tangible spending cuts. Looming in the background is the specter of “default.” Yet many have pointed out this “default” is beginning to resemble the same pile of hysteria we were sold regarding the dreaded Y2K and “global warming.”

Last week in an effort to frighten the masses the Washington Post had a page where you could choose “who gets paid (and who doesn’t)” if the debt ceiling is not raised.
It turned out to be a mistake. I took the $172.4 billion and paid all the essentials (Social Security; T–bills; Medicare; Medicaid; federal salaries and benefits; unemployment insurance; food stamps & TANF; military pay; Veteran’s Affairs; Dept. of Justice) and had $700 million left over to invest in Obama’s Capitol bust commemorating his one–term Presidency and the defeat of socialism.

No bond default. No granny being chased by wolves. No obese welfare recipients denied government cheese. Certainly these choices would be portrayed by Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) as a heartless surrender to greed and selfishness, but I believe the majority of America voted last November for fiscally conservative government and they will support efforts to achieve that end, even if it results in a temporary government shutdown.

McConnell obviously either disagrees or can’t withstand criticism from Anderson Cooper, so he started cutting himself a backdoor to the Alamo. After completing his escape hatch, McConnell was not content to slink away and save himself from a risky and potentially damaging confrontation that could result in social ostracism.

No, he joins the enemy — holding a joint news conference with Santa Anna and praising the generalissimo for his innovative policy that replaces with land–intensive burial plots with sustainable funeral pyres that use all natural ingredients.

You can’t even dignify the McConnell plan by calling it a “contingency.” It’s a collaboration. McConnell expands the power of the Presidency at the expense of Congress in violation of the Constitution; imposes a super–majority requirement on what should be a routine vote; throws away any and all leverage Republicans have in Congress; undermines House Republican efforts to cut spending; and lets Obama and the Democrats continue the spending behavior the voters repudiated in the last election.
It’s pathetic, ineffectual posturing that insults conservative and independent voters and undermines the cause of debt and spending reduction, all in one neat package.
No wonder Nancy Pelosi likes it and Harry Reid (D – Can I supersize that spending for you?) wants to ratify the McConnell surrender.

To continue my Alamo metaphor, it’s time to draw the line in the sand. If it takes a temporary government shutdown to get the attention of Obama and the Democrats, then — Shut. It. Down.

Why continue the suspense? I believe conservatives and independents can win this fight for our country’s future. And if that’s wrong, and if the role of conservatives in the future is to manage the decline, instead of reverse it, let’s find out now and not put it off until November 2012.

Congressman Todd Akin is under fire today. The St. Louis Congressman running for US Senate against the dingy blonde in the Republican primary said something today that I don’t find too hard to back up. Yet, he comes under fire today. Here’s the details:

On Tony Perkins conservative radio program Akin said, “I think NBC has a long record of being very liberal and at the heart of liberalism, really, is a hatred for God and a belief that government should replace God. So, they’ve had a long history of not being at all favorable toward many of things that have been such a blessing to our country.”

Is this a valid point that liberals want to replace God with Government? I take you back to the 2008 election where one Barack Obama promising big government was compared to the messiah Jesus Christ himself, and this comparison was especially strong in the mainstream media where Obama even sent tingles up the legs of Chris Matthews, who bowed down to Obama.

Of course, there were all sores of references in art and in magazines of Obama being God-like. Remember these?

Or here is a Newsweek cover calling Obama the God of All Things.

Seriously, what is more offensive? Akin pointing out the far left’s belief in big government as a God or the fact the mainstream media worked hard to turn Obama into a God?
Or how about how photos were manipulated to make Obama appear to be a light in a religious sort of way?

And here is this hand made Obama poster that was at the Obama/Democrat campaign headquarters in Lake City, Florida.

Seriously, what did Akin say that can’t be at least considered in political debate? I don’t think what he said was that far off. The problem is liberals hate being called out. Of course journalists like Barb Shelly of the Kansas City Star have their head too deep in their asses to consider the context of the statement if it means questioning Barack Obama. In religion, it’s not recommended you question the head of the religion.

This is a post that will be quite different from any other that you have seen at this blog. I’m tired of pulling punches. I’m tired of engaging in at least semi-civil debates (the left ignores it anyway). At any rate, this is the first in what I hope will be a series of posts on exposing evil. I’m going to call it like I see it, and maybe there will be a healthy debate.

At this blog, and many others, we engage in an ideological struggle. We attempt to put out personal takes in the issues of the day, as well as the ideologies that guide our political parties and leaders. We expose activities and speeches. We go through legislation to find the various payouts and “poison pills” that are hidden within them. We hypothesize about the next moves of different “operators,” and we try to nail the end game goals of our political opponents. We’ve done all of this, and more, but I think we’re missing the larger picture. In the end, all of this is a smaller part of a larger struggle- the age-old battle between good and evil. Is such a statement inflammatory? Yes. Will it anger some, and alienate others? Absolutely! But, it has to be said, and I will expand on the idea, and cite my evidence for this claim.

Where else to begin other than with abortion? The “progressives” steadfastly defends a woman’s “right to choose (to kill a baby).” The “progressives” try to make this a freedom issue, and couch it as a complex set of circumstances. However, as with so many issues, a few simple truths come through. For example, our opposition thinks that it is OK to dismember, chemically burn, and remove this baby from a woman…

Mind you, this “tissue mass” feels pain, and will attempt to escape the tools meant to kill it. But, being defenseless, it is a hopeless struggle. However, according to the “progressives,” this is a Constitutional right.

If this is grisly enough, there is more. Many, but not all, “progressives” also defend the practice of “partial birth abortion.” In this procedure, a breech birth is induced, and when all but the baby’s head is exposed, a probe is plunged into the baby’s skull, and it’s brain will be sucked out. Here is a diagram that displays the procedure.

Again, for many “progressives,” this too, is a Constitutional right.

On occasion, a baby survives the abortion process. And for those babies, there is still little hope. There have been cases in which these babies were killed, outside of the womb, and while breathing on their own. If one cannot see that this is infanticide, there is clearly something wrong. Here is a video describing this.

The “progressives” attempt to avoid any and all moral arguments regarding abortion by simply refusing to admit that children in the womb are human. By dehumanizing them, they seek to make it excusable to murder them. Racists do this to minorities. The Nazis did it to the Jews. And, in each case, there were mass murders. And, in the case of the Nazis, it resulted in murder on an industrial scale. Because, if one is dehumanized, it is all right to kill them. After all, they are not human-not one of us, are they?

At the same time that our “progressives” are vehemently defending this “right,” they have a hypocritical response to war and the death penalty. There are massive protests…well, that is, until the inauguration of President Obama, decrying war dead. In war, people that are trying to kill us are killed. We suffer losses as well, and unfortunately, there are also civilian casualties. War is never a clean business, even though ours is the only nation to spend so much on the creation of precision weapons meant to limit civilian losses. Of course, there are also groups that openly support the deaths of Americans.

Also, many “progressives” consider the death penalty barbaric. However, a person being put to death has been found guilty of a very serious crime, and has exhausted all legal appeals. It can take decades for the sentence to be carried out. However, an unborn child has committed no crime. It has not waged war. It merely exists. And, in many cases, it is murdered to maintain the lifestyle of its parent-as birth control.

How can we, as a supposedly civilized nation, reconcile these issues? How can we look at what abortion is, and then say that it’s a “right,” instead of murder? If we judge a society on how it treats most defenseless members, how do we score? Quite simply, it defies logic and basic human decency. I have a much more simple answer…

It is evil. Not mistaken. Not misguided. It is simple, unadulterated evil.

Let’s call it what it is, shall we?

I count myself fortunate, and even lucky, to have born into the last generation of independent freedom loving Americans. That’s on the one hand.  On the other, I feel depressed that my generation will be the first to see a free America voluntarily choose slavery as a way of life.

As Americans look about them today, they can see the effects of just toying around with socialism: A nation in decline, a nation financially broke, a nation of people depressed, hurting, and angry, a nation deeply divided by the race baiting and class warfare imposed on them by a major political party in their grab for the power to rule America as the “elite class” in a socialist America.  We refer, of course, to the Democratic Party.

Slavery?  Yes!  Socialism is slavery to the state (and to those elite socialist politicians who will run your life from the cradle to the grave). Under the Obama Administration, it has already begun.  The evils of Pandora’s box can’t hold a candle to the evils of Obamacare.

Socialism is the slavery of forced labor.  Americans will work for the government. I don’t mean the 48% of the American workforce who are on the government’s payroll. I mean 100% of the American workforce, which will be receiving those wages the government decides you need to exist and continue working at your government assigned job.

All the labor union demonstrations remind one of nothing more than the “useful idiots” Vladimir Lenin used to mock.  He was referring to westerners, including Americans, Who publicly and privately sympathized with the socialist movement in what would become the Socialist Soviet Union. He was, of course, right about one thing:  They were, and are, idiots — and they were, and are today, useful to the cause of socialism and communism. This time, however, the targeted country is the United States.

Today, those of us in America who see what is happening to our country, to our freedom, to our future as a free country, are derided as some sort of alarmists.  To that, allow me to say:  “You’re darned right, I’m ALARMED!”  It is as clear to me as sunrise this morning that a free America will only be a legend to my grandkids.

I expect that in the not too distant American future there will be a time when those of us who pen such comments as these will be arrested as enemies of the socialist state of America … if we live long enough. As I have been spouting these kinds of commentaries and public addresses since I was a sophomore in high school, I expect they will have a lot to work with!

Socialism is a killer of nations.  It is a terminal illness that rots a nation’s core until it is hollow and then implodes in upon itself — taking that nation’s society along with it.

Today in America we are awash in socialism.  There is Marxism, Leninism, Trotskyism, socialist feminism – and the Democratic Party.

I mention ObamaCare above.  ObamaCare is socialized medicine … socialism!  Americans have no idea how much freedom and liberty ObamaCare will strip from the citizens of the USA.  But it’s coming — and it will be startling!

Distressingly, I see no pushback against the steady encroachment of socialism in America. Make no mistake about it, socialism is on the march in the USA and we will awaken one morning to find that America is no longer a free country but a slave nation shackled to a socialist government… and even sadder, Americans will have no idea how America came to be socialist.

Even now the chains are being forged for America’s enslavement.  The foundry is working 24/7 turning out the bonds that will hold a nation of once proud, free, Americans.

Well over one-third of our national government is already socialist … the executive branch.  One half of the Legislative branch, the Senate, is controlled by socialists, and the Judicial branch is very close to falling under the control of socialist sympathizing justices.

Do you begin to understand the threat America is living under today?  I hope so, because the change from freedom to slavery is going to be rapid and startlingly complete.

A re-elected Obama will be free to stoke the furnace and boost the speed of America’s enslavement.  He has no opposition, to speak of, in his bid for re-election. The loyal opposition has caved.  They will not field a candidate with a snowball’s chance against Obama; instead, the GOP is eying the 2016 election.  THAT, in my view, is a sell-out of the American people who yearn to preserve what little is left of our free nation.
