The Bill of Rights or the first Ten Amendments are the rights prescribed for the individual. With these rights in hand, any common person has the ability legally to defend themselves against anyone or anything up to and including the federal government.
stippling engraving of James Madison, Presiden…The Second Amendment is one of the most often debated “individual” right afforded by our founding fathers in the Constitution. Recently it has been under direct attack by those who believe the Constitution is a “fluid” set of “guidelines” and not the foundation of the American Criminal Justice code.
When we speak about the rights of the individual, we are saying something very different than the left’s view of the topic. Our founders carefully crafted a Constitution that is designed to protect us from the excesses of government. However, a sufficient percentage of the people have not guarded those rights against government intrusion, until just recently.
