Insurance socialism uses money from people who live a healthy lifestyle to subsidize the treatment of people who do not. And everyone gets to pay for others to use chiropractors, counselors, midwifes, acupuncturists, gypsies, magicians and soothsayers regardless of whether or not they believe in the transformative effects of patchouli oil.
America’s current national leadership is only the tip of an iceberg. It is just the tip of a movement that has been toiling, for nearly a century, behind the scenes to bring about this transformation of America into some sort of collectivist state, a socialist/communist state, if you will.
Obamacare is the equivalent of the Confederate States declaring succession and the first shots fired at Fort Sumpter. That time it took a war to restore the Union, but this time a huge majority of people, Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, independents, and every other political flag other than the Communist and Socialist Parties USA is opposed to this 2,700 page monstrosity.
Planning to circumvent the Senate’s deliberative process is not a sign of good faith. Releasing the President’s proposal four days prior to his so called bipartisan meeting so that the CBO will not have time to analyze its costs is not a sign of good faith. These are signs of the arrogance of absolute power gone mad.
Terminal sedation is abortion for the elderly. You have dementia and get pneumonia? Like Rahm Emmanuel says, Never let a crisis go to waste. See it as an opportunity for a quick exit. No antibiotics and terminal sedation. Abortion completed. Your loved one is healthy but brain damaged like Terri Schiavo and Hugh Finn? No problem. Starvation, dehydration, and terminal sedation. Call it late-term abortion.
Legitimate questions have been raised about how Obamacare is going to be paid for, and it appears that this is going to be the start. If ANYONE deserves to have free, outstanding healthcare for life, it is our veterans who served and continue to serve honorably. Instead, they are being hit to help give healthcare to illegals and fund abortions for the feministas (It’s their eucharist).
A right is a gift from God that extends from our humanity. Thinkers from St. Thomas Aquinas, to Thomas Jefferson, to Martin Luther King, Jr., to Pope John Paul II have all argued that our rights are a natural part of our humanity. So, our right to life, our right to develop our personalities, our right to think as we wish, to say what we think, stem from our humanity.
Here are sections of the bill that are entirely Un-Constitutional and reprehensible, it is truly time to call your “leaders” to account for their actions and stand trial for crimes against the people of this nation
This was Obama’s umpteenth healthcare homily amid an average of more than one speech per day since he’s taken office. True, it’s better he should run his mouth than actually attempt to govern, but, nonetheless, it’s become annoying that he continues to stubbornly refuse America’s, “Not only no but h— no,” answer to his persistent “pretty please.”
So what about the defenseless among us who are already born? What might be in store for the severely disabled, the terminally ill and the “better off dead”? Will decisions be made by an ethical medical professional or a bioethics panel? What should we expect if the Obama administration gets its way?
Why is it so difficult for the democrats to understand that Americans would have settled for insurance coverage for those unable to afford it? THAT we could do. It would be a strain but we could manage to pay for it. What Americans do not want is Universal Healthcare with a trillion and a half dollar price tag, which we cannot pay for!
Good morning America, you are reaping the rewards of your follies! Every time you look in the mirror and hear that little voice repeating, Thoughtcrime does not entail death. Thoughtcrime IS death.” Just remember there were those of us that attempted to dissuade you and help you understand that being black alone was not a qualification for presidency.
We know what the Democratic grassroots are all about. They’ll show up with in buses, be paid, and wearing identically printed shirts and signs. They’ll spout off the scripts they’ve been given, and “speakers” claiming to be “doctors” at town halls will be Democratic plants. Sound familiar? It was done all this summer in response to the Tea Parties.
America, are you reading this? These people are making economics out of death! Beyond that, they are projecting savings that can be achieved if you die early. Combine that with their other actions, and it appears that they are trying to save a buck! Isn’t that what the left hates about the “evil” insurance companies? There is a difference though…the state wants to industrialize and manage it at the federal level!
Is it just me, or is Nancy Pelosi starting to look more and more like Marty Feldman? Every time I hear that grating voice it seems as if she has ventured further into the world of cartoon and satire, as if someone hooked Smurfette up to a thorazine drip. Those leviathan eyes grow in size with each passing hour, bugging out two feet in front of her body, like somebody dropped a toaster in the water while Nancy’s thyroid was taking a bath.
Obamarx and his minions keep pushing this hideous piece of legislation that isn’t worth the toilet paper it’s written on despite the cries from concerned American citizens. The left is always pointing out the examples of Britain and Canada to support their argument. They may want to rethink that strategy.
Over the past few months we have attempted to warn you about the freedom Americans will lose if the Healthcare bills, which have come to known as ObamaCare, are passed into law by the US Congress. Yet, some of the latest polls show the American people are split almost fifty-fifty in favor of and against the bills now making their way through the Congress.
America was born in protest and a new generation is carrying on the tradition. It is not an idle thing. They could have gone to a football or baseball game. Instead, they came to Washington, D.C. Only fools would dare ignore them.
The political left rejects these solutions for the same reason my FB friends reduce economic and moral issues to the banal: this debate isn’t really about medical care; sure there is lots of medical care terminology, but at bottom this discussion is about the political and philosophical validity of the administrative state.
