The murderous Islamic rampage committed by US Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan at Fort Hood was not particularly surprising either to the general public or, as we have found, to the agents of the United States government whose job it was to protect us from such things. If you bring a rattlesnake into your living room, feed it and promote it and pretend it is your loyal minion can it really be a big surprise when it bites you?

The real question is why does the Army chain of command value a sham of diversity over the very real lives of its loyal soldiers. Out of a military with around 1.4 million active duty soldiers less than 4,000 are self declared Muslims. These 4,000 are all that choose to serve from a US Muslim population of some seven million people. Given that in the last eight years since the 9/11 terrorist attack our armed forces have been in constant conflict with Islamic warriors it is again small surprise that so few American Muslims have chosen to put loyalty and service to their adopted country over the dictates of their religion?

You see for Muslims to make war on their co-religionist on behalf of a Khufaar nation like the United States is a great sin. Nidal Hasan made this point very clearly in a slide presentation on Muslims that he presented to an audience of his medical peers at Walter Reid Army Hospital in 2007 stating that, ” It is getting harder and harder for Muslims in the service to morally justify being in a military that seems constantly engaged against fellow Muslims.” His recommendation at the end of his presentation was that the Department of Defense allow all Muslims service members an option of a discharge as “conscientious objectors” to “increase troop morale and decrease adverse events.” Isn’t it about time to give up on the great western Snipe hunt searching for moderate Muslims?

Nor as we have found out was this briefing the only indicator that Hasan was not loyal to United States or its military. His business card was printed with SOA that we have been told is a abbreviation for “Soldier of Allah”. Numerous fellow soldiers reported him for making statements supportive of Islamic terrorism and his abusive use of his access to soldiers at Walter Reid to promote conversion to Islam. Our intelligence community even knew that he was corresponding by email with the radical pro-al Qaeda American-Yemeni Jihadi Imam Anwar-Awlaki. One can’t blame the snake Nidal Malik Hasan for failing to rattle before striking and if all these warnings were not enough to inform us that his treachery was motivated by faith in Islam, he shouted the war-cry of the Islamic warrior, “Allah Akbar” as he gunned down our defenseless soldiers at Fort Hood.

So now 43 American soldiers have been seriously wounded, thirteen of them have died from the attack as well as an unborn innocent who died with his soldier mother. You would think that the Army chain of command would have made haste to protect and comfort its soldiers and their families after this horrific violation of the sanctity and security of one of the largest US Army bases in the world. Instead the Army Chief of Staff, General George Casey Jr., rushed out on the Sunday news circuit shortly after the attack and declared his allegiance to the politically correct cultural Marxist doctrine of diversity, “A diverse Army gives us strength”. He followed this declaration of his faith with the unbelievable assertion that, “It would be a shame- as great a tragedy as this was- it would be a shame if our diversity was a casualty as well.” Somebody should tell General Casey that this murderous attack was a terrorist attack not a tragedy.

Fourteen decent loyal Americans lay dead and 30 more were in the hospital after the first major terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11 and all the Army Chief of Staff was expressing concern about was the Marxist cult of diversity. I remember when I thought we won the cold war and defeated International Communism, hell, I even have a ribbon for our “victory” in the Cold War. Never would I have dreamed that one of the most senior Army leaders would be mouthing Marxist platitudes like some dopey liberal arts college professor. General Casey is a disgrace to his uniform and the real betrayal at Fort Hood was not that a Jihadi Muslim attacked our troops but that the Army leadership created an environment where the snake Nidal Hasan could thrive, be promoted and have unlimited access to our loyal soldiers.

It is time to get real and a proper Congressional investigation of the multiple failures of our system to protect our soldiers would result in General Casey and many others to at a minimum resign from the service. However under the administration of Barrack Hussein Obama and with the loathsome Janet Napolitano heading up “Homeland Security” we can only expect this incident to be hurriedly hushed up and erased from the public’s pathetically short lived “awareness” by the all to willing progressive accomplices in the mainstream media.

I will tell you, however, that there are many active duty soldiers and veterans that will not easily forget this attack against us and the failure of the Army’s leadership to prevent the incident or strongly express their determination to prevent another such incident. Don’t forget this in not the first time that a homicidal Muslim traitor has attacked our troops, many of us have not forgotten the fratricidal grenade attack by Sergeant Hasan Akbar of the 326th Engineer Battalion of the 101st Air Assault Division that killed two and wounded fourteen of our soldiers.

The story of Nidal Malik Hasan is even more interesting than another Muslim attack against our soldiers. It is also a story of another incompetent who gamed the affirmative action system to obtain a promotion that he did not deserve. Hasan’s efficiency reports and testimony by service members who knew him at Walter Reid indicate that not only was he openly disloyal to the United States but that he was a lazy, inefficient troublemaker. Numerous people complained about him but still he gained promotion to the field grade rank of Major. Now for those of you who have not served in the military you should understand that professionals like doctors and lawyers are not really “soldiers”. They are directly commissioned as Captains after completing their professional training and have the barest familiarization with the military.

The media hype about violent soldiers and second hand PTSD is liberal drivel. All Hasan was at Walter Reid was an incompetent doctor who was promoted through an affirmative action policy and retained because the Army had already payed for his professional education and wanted to get some value back for the money they threw down the toilet on the snake. He was not disciplined or dismissed from the service because political correctness is so strong of a force in our military that any attempt to deal negatively with a protected class could easily rebound and destroy the career of the officer or NCO who initiates the action.

Notice that almost nothing is being said about the damage that Hasan must have done to our troops at Walter Reid who sought him out for help with PTSD and other mental health issues. Can you imagine the rot that he must have been passing off as therapy for these young soldiers? We already know that a number of them lodged formal complaints about his radical views and aggressive proselytizing of the Islamic faith. It is an almost unbelievable betrayal of the American soldier that our leadership would allow a Muslim who had made many public statements against our wars in the Middle East and in support of terrorist to offer counseling and therapy to soldiers returning from these wars.

While I was serving as a young Infantry Lieutenant my Battalion Commander was very clear that you were only allowed to make the same mistake once and that it was inexcusable to make that mistake over and over again. The Fort Hood terrorist attack is not the first time our soldiers have been betrayed by Muslims in our ranks. The tenants of the Islamic faith make it impossible for a true believer in the Islamic faith to honestly proclaim our oath of service, “I take this obligation freely without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion.” By very definition the Muslim is the slave of Allah and can’t put loyalty to the United States or our military above their loyalty to Islam and their community of believers.

The affirmative action diversity culture is an insult to our soldiers of all races and creeds. The military is a competitive meritocracy and is one of the finest institutions that America has produced. Real soldiers don’t need extra points or diversity set asides to progress in the US Army. We should never again allow our soldiers to be stabbed in the back by traitors in uniform. It is well past time that the American military stops sacrificing soldiers at the alter of diversity and political correctness.

The tragic murder of 14 people (I include the preborn baby) at Fort Hood last week by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was the first terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. This terrible act has brought to the fore all the usual suspects, recriminations and rationalizations. Each day brings new revelations or “red flags” concerning this Muslim fanatic that military officials, the FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security and even Hasan’s medical colleagues knew about for years, but did nothing.

Two things shielded America’s enemies from swift justice: 1) Political correctness, which I call “perversity correctness,” or what conservative intellectual Michael Savage calls “political cowardice”; and 2) the Gorelick Wall.

Let’s take the first shield Maj. Hasan (and technically untold millions of Muslims) have protecting him – PC, political cowardice. Our military brass and Congress are so cowed by even the appearance of singling out Muslims to prevent terrorists attacks in America that they literally looked at every other thing in the room but the 800-pound gorilla sitting in the corner shouting Allahu akbar! – until it was too late.

This insane PC policy of American cowardice toward Muslims is evidenced by the Obama administration refusing to use the phrases “war on terror,” “Islamic terrorism,” “terrorists” or “Muslim,” preferring the less judgmental term, “manmade disaster.”

The second policy America has launched against itself is the infamous “Gorelick Wall.” What is the Gorelick Wall? It is a policy developed by Clinton appointee and former Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick, who after the first terrorist bombings of the World Trade Center of Feb. 26, 1993, was placed as the head of a blue ribbon commission to find the causes in our internal security that allowed these bombings to occur.

In March 1995, Gorelick co-wrote a radical and treasonous memo that, in the words of Attorney General John Ashcroft, “go beyond what is legally required … [to] prevent any risk of creating an unwarranted appearance that FISA [the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] is being used to avoid procedural safeguards which would apply in a criminal investigation.”

What does this mean? It means that the FBI cannot share intelligence with the CIA, the NSA, the DEA, ATF, the military or any other security agency in America. It is a unilateral, self-binding policy reminiscent of the proverbial saying, the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.

In his opening statement before the 9/11 commission on April 13, 2004, Attorney General Ashcroft was outraged to learn that the commission had not investigated or been told of Gorelick’s memo and her role regarding the “wall.” To show the utter duplicity and incompetence by politicians of both parties, Ashcroft’s assertion was disputed by former Sen. Slade Gorton, R-Wash., a member of the commission, who said, “Nothing Jamie Gorelick wrote had the slightest impact on the Department of Defense or its willingness or ability to share intelligence information with other intelligence agencies.”

Furthermore, after almost 15 years since Gorelick’s memo, it is now beyond question that the Gorelick Wall led to barred anti-terror investigators from accessing the computer of Zacarias Moussaoui, the 20th hijacker, already in custody on an immigration violation on 9/11. The Gorelick Wall also caused protracted, internecine struggles between the Janet Reno Justice Department and FBI Director Louie Freeh because Reno (and President Bill Clinton) viewed terrorist attacks as police matters rather than issues of counterterrorism.

How did the Gorelick Wall prevent our security agencies from discovering and expelling Maj. Hasan from the military before he could commit his murderous acts against our brave soldiers? The treachery of Gorelick’s Wall was that it kept all of our security agencies in the dark. It prevented security agencies’ access to the common-sense tactics of the past in sharing intelligence with one another to stop terrorist attacks and future terrorist plots on American soil.

Of course, I realize that we can’t put all the blame on poor Ms. Goerlick, for the Gorelick Wall extended back in one form or another to the treasonous “Church Committee” of Sen. Frank Church, D-Idaho, in 1975. Church was one of the many enemies within that virtually destroyed the CIA, FBI and other intelligence agencies under the pretext of protecting Americans from being spied on, forcing the agencies to comply with the restrictive strictures of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978. Thanks, President Carter!

I lay Maj. Hasan’s murderous treachery directly at the feet of the Church Committee, for leading to FISA in 1978, the 1995 Goerlick Wall memo and, finally, to the “manmade disaster” policies of Obama in 2009.

Thanks to progressives, Democrats and Republicans for being such political cowards and fearful of a “Muslim backlash” post-9/11 that they created policies and allowed harmful policies to stand for decades that in essence allowed murderers like Maj. Hasan easy access to our great military.

Even a socialist like President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 67 years ago in the throes of World War II, had the leadership and fortitude to immediately hang six of the eight Nazi saboteurs in the 1942 case, In Re Quirin. What will Obama, the Stalinist media, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party do to protect us against the evils of Muslim-inspired terrorism? These PC bureaucrats will continue to drone on and on about Hasan’s “constitutional rights,” fear of a Muslim backlash, that Christianity has nut jobs, too, and how we should not “jump to conclusions.”

Jump to conclusions? It is common sense for America’s security to prevent a murderous Muslim fanatic like Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan from even being admitted into our military; however, if we continue on this PC road of political cowardice, then America will jump not to conclusions, but jump into the abyss of self-genocide.

To paraphrase President Ronald Reagan’s 1987 speech at Berlin, “Mr. Obama tear down this Gorelick Wall!”

The cost of our political classes’ obsession with multiculturalism and Political Correctness is not just sanctimonious news conferences and racial special interest groups sucking at the public teat. It’s death and injury as residents were reminded last week.

This month’s bill was delivered by Major Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood.

Naturally, the first item on the agenda after the terror attack was assuring Muslims that although another follower of Islam had bagged a few infidels, every step would be taken to prevent potential “backlash.”

Rather than worry about ticking time bombs in the Army, our leaders make sure rednecks don’t stock up on sheets and ammunition at Wal–Mart before heading for the nearest mosque.

And if the mosques here are anything like the mosques in Iraq and Afghanistan, it’s going to be quite a firefight.

But “backlash” against Muslims rivals Swine Flu warnings for hype and exaggeration.  A few louts may yell “towelhead” at a niqab–clad pedestrian out for her morning constitutional, but that’s about it.

Strange isn’t it, when abortionist George Tiller was murdered, the media had no problem discussing “fundamentalist Christians” while being totally unconcerned about potential “backlash” against Baptists.

And in Seattle police had no problem calling Christopher Monfort a “domestic terrorist” — but then his name is Christopher Monfort.

Islam is the last topic authorities discuss when it comes to Sudden Jihad Syndrome incidents. The standard line is it was a “lone gunman,” “isolated incident,” “random act of violence” that was perpetrated by a “troubled individual,” who was “under stress,” “harassed” or otherwise forced to “snap,” “act out” or “explode.”

As long as the investigation of this “cry for help” doesn’t turn up a cell phone with Osama on speed dial, investigators are going to find a secular or psychological reason. They will be very careful not to connect any dot that results in a picture in any way offensive to Islam — The Religion of Peace.

The same investigators and media that can’t find the Muhammad in the haystack will detail every time someone hurt Hasan’s delicate sensibilities with “name–calling and harassment.”

But how do people discover Hasan and other grievance–collectors are Muslims? Most people have no idea I’m a Christian because my life does not model Christ as it should. I could be a pagan environmentalist, Buddhist or even a Unitarian.

What tips these rednecks off? Is it the scimitar, spitting on the ground as a Jew walks by, the Allahu Akbar bumper sticker? Nope, scratch the Allahu. That’s what Hasan said while shooting infidels.

Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. and Commander in Chief of the Army’s “PC Brigade” (the Hugging Marmosets) is concerned that speculation about the Muslim faith and the motives of Hasan could spark retaliation against Muslim soldiers and hurt diversity within the Army.

Casey lugubriously added, “I believe it would be an even greater tragedy if our diversity becomes a casualty here,” which must be real comforting to the relatives of the dead and wounded.

In fact, it’s unity that gives you strength, not diversity. But Gen. Casey appears to take his Multi–Culti Kool–Aid straight.

Judging by the general’s standards, Major Hasan was a man of strongly diverse opinions, but it didn’t add much to the Army’s strength. The good major proselytized to his patients, declared he’s a Muslim first and American second, claimed the war on terror was a war against Muslims and suggested non–Muslims be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats.

But apparently no one informed Army investigators because they didn’t want to be seen as Islamophobes.

The only place Hasan and I share even partial agreement is his belief Muslims shouldn’t be in the military. I’m ready to trade and let the homosexuals in if we can keep the potential jihadists out.

Please spare me the “only ten percent of Muslims want to slit our throats.” Why aren’t the 90 percent taking steps to prevent the 10 from acting?

Episcopalians go out of their way to make homosexuals “safe” in their churches in spite of the damage it does to the denomination. Why can’t Muslim imams discourage potential jihadists and alert authorities when they learn of their existence?

There’s got to be something going on in mosques. I don’t think Muslims are more entrepreneurial than Christians and therefore more likely to open a Terror–Is–Me franchise. The place to begin Sudden Jihad Syndrome prevention is in mosques.

So if you remain a fuzzy thinker who believes, contrary to all the evidence, that “diversity” is uniformly beneficial to the country, I invite you to visit the grave of any one of  Hasan’s victims.

The Herald Sun published an article by Andrew Bolt in which he stated critical  facts which had been ignored by some journalists and propounded certain rhetorical of a most critical nature.  The article included a link to his blog, where  I discovered a link to Dr. Hasan’s slide show at the Washington Post.

It has been reported that Dr. Hasan’s assignment was to deliver a lecture on a medical topic. Instead, he lectured about Islam and its potential effect on servicemen and the Army.  In retrospect, the advice given in the last slide should have been applied in his case.

The slide show  presents a basic outline of  Islam, hitting the most essential highlights. Most of the slides display Qur’an verses or hadith.  I have no doubt that the lecture elaborated upon the military application of those slides.

The information presented in the slide show is basically accurate, with the exception of two areas where error has crept in. Slide #36, pertaining to peace & forgiveness,  overlooks the fact that those verses have been abrogated by Surah At-Taubah.  #38 & 39 misrepresent 9:38 & 9:39 as relating to defense though they are contained in a Surah dedicated to excoriating Muslims who refused to join the ghazwat against Tabuk.  Ibn Kathir’s Tafsir confirms the obvious.

I hope that you will click the link to the slide show, view it and consider its contents carefully.  Its implications for military recruitment & retention policy are clear.  Neither the Muslim who shrinks from conflict with fellow Muslims nor one who  anticipates an opportunity to turn against friendly forces should be recruited or retained.  I doubt the possibility of accurately identifying all members of those two classes of Muslims.

The critical questions propounded by Mr. Bolt are listed below, followed by my answers.

• How much of a threat is Islam to a secular, multi-ethnic society like America’s – and ours?
• How sure can we be of the loyalty of Muslim troops in a war against a Muslim country?
• Have we become so fearful of asking such questions that even a Hasan, with his record for hate-preaching, is not just allowed to serve in the US military, but is promoted to the rank of major by people apparently too scared to seem racist to object?
• And can you trust journalists to even tell you the facts you need to reach the right answers?

Islam is an existential threat, immediately to random individuals as in the massacre of ’02 in Metropolitan  Washington D.C.  and to the nation in the long term if we don’t wise up and defend ourselves adequately and effectively by eliminating it.  We can no more tolerate Islam in our midst than rattlesnakes and copper heads in our homes.  All three are venomous, aggressive and predatory.

We can be sure of the past loyalty of Muslim troops after the war is ended without treacherous behavior on their part. We can never be sure of their future loyalty. We now know that Dr. Hasan is extremely disloyal.

The question about fearing accusations of hate/racism  answered itself,  it does not require amplification.

Journalists can only report what they know. In the early hours of any incident, that knowledge base will be small, growing over time as new information comes to light . But many journalists have agendas, as do the publications that employ them. We can not trust all of them all of the time; we must not become dependent on a single source of information about current events.

The sad case of Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan is just the latest evidence that our culture of political correctness is not only destroying our freedom of speech, but it can have deadly results. The push for politically correctness is actually an effort by those who see themselves as elites to tell us poor unfortunate and uneducated commoners that there are some things were are not allowed to say and ideas we are not allowed to discuss… unless it is how awful our country is.

Some courts have even upheld this unconstitutional and anti-American mindset when they have placed hurt feelings above the rights we have been given by our creator. Our constitution says we have the right to express our thoughts and feelings. It does not guarantee that we will never be offended. Yet… some have used this pernicious concept which emanated from the bowels of academia which was once the bastion of free thought and inquiry to stifle free thought and inquiry. However, in this era of specialization, we have teachers teaching and professors professing that have spent their whole lives behind ivy covered walls, having successfully avoided real world participation. They have given us the benefit of the output of their great minds that are unencumbered by the reality the rest of us live in.

In the case of Major Hasan, we see that politically correct thinking most likely is running amok, even in our fine military. Reports are that he was inflicting his anti-war and anti-American views on recovering service men. We are also told that he was angrily spreading the word that our country was at war with his Islamic faith… and that those that take part deserve death. We are told that he gave away his possessions in his apartment prior to this attack… as if he were not coming back. And, lastly, we are told that he shouted praises to Allah before beginning his attack. Yet, the Commander in Chief is not interested in having investigators pursue the possibility that his extreme religious views led to his horrible actions.

The man was not Joe Muslim. He was inculcated with the beliefs that his country was wrong in what he saw as a battle against his religion and time after time made these thoughts known. His postings were scattered about the internet. There is no way his commanders should have been unaware of his positions. He even was transferred away from Walter Reed Army Hospital after running into trouble because of them. Yet, no one thought he posed a danger… or if they did,they were not willing to appear prejudiced against a member of a group the military was actively recruiting.

Hasan railed against the military he was part of, and against it’s objectives, yet they let him continue in his position, even deciding he should become part of this conflict. They refused to act on obvious information, or perhaps, they were ordered not to act on obvious information… and a dozen American men and women in uniform lost their lives before they even got into a war zone. Now they wonder, “How could this have happened?”

It happened because they were looking to be seen as open, diverse and inclusive. It happened because they took their eyes off the objective of the military, which is to keep our country safe. The creation of career paths and a diverse workforce replaced the real reason we have men with guns in our employ. Career paths and the like are nice, but they are not the reason we have our men and women in uniform.

Major Hasan even took advantage of the goodness of our country in providing him with an education to become a doctor. He was either an intelligent man to get through this education, or the recipient of other PC rules to keep the personnel in some sort of affirmative action driven quota balance. In either case, he received good from the Army and returned evil. He should not have been in his position, but he was and we, as a country, are lesser for it.

It’s time we stop quietly acquiescing to those who demand we temper our speech and thought so as not to offend someone. We should not become insensitive slobs, but we need to speak and act on the truth. Political correctness causes us to set the truth aside… and we pay for it by becoming a more dishonest society. We need to get back to understanding what we are told in John 8:32, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

We have our choice, truth and freedom or lies and slavery… which will you choose?
