Fox News host Glenn Beck has been doing a masterful job over the past few weeks in his series exposing the man that gave America President Barack Obama, the radical socialist billionaire George Soros.

George Soros (born 1930), like many European Jews of his generation, had his life personally and indelibly affected by the horrors of Hitler, the Nazis and the Holocaust. Soros was 13 years old in March 1944 when Nazi Germany occupied Hungary. Soros worked for the Jewish Council, which had been established during the Nazi occupation of Hungary to forcibly carry out Nazi and Hungarian government anti-Jewish measures.

After World War II, Soros would further observe firsthand how post-war joblessness, hunger, fear, uncertainty lead to riots and anarchy, leading to the establishment of communist dictatorships throughout Eastern Europe in the 1950s and ’60s.

Soros immigrated to England in 1947 and, as an impoverished student, attended the Fabian Socialist London School of Economics where he received a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy in 1952. After working as a trader in New York in the ’50s and ’60s, in 1970 Soros founded Soros Fund Management with Jim Rogers and for the next 30 years made billions in the hedge fund market. In 2000, the Quantum Group of Funds was reorganized, and the Quantum Endowment Fund was established. The fund has assets of approximately $27 billion.

On Sept. 16, 1992, Black Wednesday, Soros’ Quantum fund sold short more than 10 billion worth of British pounds, profiting from the Bank of England’s reluctance to raise its interest rates to levels comparable to those of other European Exchange Rate Mechanism countries. Finally, the Bank withdrew the currency from the European Exchange Rate Mechanism, devaluing the pound sterling, earning Soros an estimated $1.1 billion. He was dubbed “the man who broke the Bank of England.” Other nations that Soros purposely profited from by devaluing their currency include: Russia, Thailand, Malaysia and currently America.

According to Beck, these are the five steps Soros uses to economically deconstruct nations while profiting from the effect:

Step 1: Form a shadow government using humanitarian aid as cover. Remember, the symbol of Fabian Socialism is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Lies and deceit are their modus operandi. Here are just a few of the Soros-created/funded cover groups:

• Open Society Institute (OSI)
• Tides Foundation
• Sojourners (Rev. Jim Wallis )
• Center for American Progress (CAP)
• Institute for Policy Studies (an adjunct of CAP)
• The Apollo Alliance
• Human Rights Watch
• La Raza

Step 2: Control the airwaves. Fund existing radio, TV, media outlets and take control of them, or start your own outlets. Soros has done both: Media Matters, National Public Radio, Faith in Public Life and Huffington Post (“Investigative Fund”) are just a few of the Soros-OSI funded front groups.

Step 3: Destabilize the state, weaken the government and build an anti-government kind of feeling in the country. You exploit an economic crisis or take advantage of an existing crisis – pressure from the top and the bottom. This will allow you to weaken the government and build anti-government public sentiment. Soros has done this through front groups like: People for the American Way, MoveOn.org and the Tides Foundation. Tides also supports the Apollo Alliance, Color for Change (Van Jones), Service Employees International Union (Andy Stern’s SEIU) and the charitable arm of the radical 1960s student anarchist group, Students for a Democratic Society, of which the Weather Underground is a spin-off group (i.e., Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorhn, who launched Obama’s political career).

Step 4: Provoke an election crisis. And during the election, you cry voter fraud. Remember Obama, Hillary and Rahm Emanuel’s mantra: “Never allow a good crisis go to waste.” At the Shadow Party’s “Take Back America” conference in Washington on June 3, 2004, following a glowing introduction from Hillary Clinton, Soros gave the decree, “Do something about the distortion of our electoral process by the excessive use of TV advertising.”

A few months later, two progressive politicians took up this cause, aggressively funded and lobbied by Soros, and eventually passed the McCain/Feingold Campaign Finance Reform law, which launched a new era of 501(c)(3) and 527 nonprofits. In a revealing 2004 article by David Horowitz and Richard Poe, “Shadow Party: Part III,” the authors wrote: “By pushing McCain-Feingold through Congress, Soros cut off the Democrats’ soft-money supply. By forming the Shadow Party, Soros offered the Democrats an alternate money spigot – one which he personally controlled.” That’s why Beck calls George Soros President Obama’s puppet master.

Step 5: Take power. You stage massive demonstrations, civil disobedience, sit-ins, general strike; you encourage radical activism. You promote voter fraud and tell followers what to do through your radio and television stations. OSI and Soros front groups like ACORN, SEIU (whose union membership program the voting machines), Color for Change (Van Jones) and the Ruckus Society, an environmental justice group known for their aggressive tactics, causes untold havoc in our election cycle every two years.

George Soros is a very evil man and has perfected the economic deconstruction of nations, which he learned firsthand as a child in Nazi-controlled Hungary and later throughout Communist-controlled Eastern Europe – except Soros needs no bullets for his revolution; he has a much more treacherous and inconspicuous weapon: money and propaganda.

Because George Soros is an atheist, he has no allusions about a heaven beyond the grave. Therefore, like most socialists, progressives, Darwinists and atheists, he is trying to establish a utopian society here on earth – a one-world centralized government without borders, religion or culture, one currency, one language and one puppet master to pull the strings of the useful idiots in power … while controlling the world from beyond the shadows.

While trying to catch up on some blog reading and commenting this morning, I ran across a post over at teresamerica urging people to not donate to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) due to their willingness to donate to ACORN. I agree wholeheartedly.

Wanting a little more info, I came across an article written by Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media. Donating to ACORN is just the tip of the iceberg.

According to the article, George Soros, an avowed atheist, has been channeling money to certain Catholic groups via his Open Society Institute. The groups receiving funds from Soros have been groups of progressive Catholics who have been on the forefront in the Obamacare debate and the debate on amnesty for illegal aliens.

Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good (CACG) has received at least $200,000 from the Open Society Institute. This group backs Pope Benedict XVI’s mission of using religion to further a socialist agenda.

From their website comes this list of things that is in the latest encyclical by the Pope. Hold on to your lunch, folks.

• “Another important consideration is the common good. To love someone is to desire that person’s good and to take effective steps to secure it. Besides the good of the individual, there is a good that is linked to living in society: the common good.”
• “If we love others with charity, then first of all we are just towards them. Not only is justice not extraneous to charity, not only is it not an alternative or parallel path to charity: justice is inseparable from charity, and intrinsic to it.”
• “The dignity of the individual and the demands of justice require, particularly today, that economic choices do not cause disparities in wealth to increase in an excessive and morally unacceptable manner, and that we continue to prioritize the goal of access to steady employment for everyone.”
• “Economic activity cannot solve all social problems through the simple application of commercial logic. This needs to be directed towards the pursuit of the common good, for which the political community in particular must also take responsibility.”

Now we have an insight into exactly what the Pope thinks of socialism. He’s in favor of it. And since this group supports the mission of the Pope, George Soros and his Open Society Institute will continue to fund them. It’s disgusting to see a religion sell out to anyone let alone liberals.

Also receiving money from OSI is the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC), a group who has been on the front lines of having Obamacare cover illegal immigrants. The group was established by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in 1988 and has received at least $530,000 from the Soros-backed OSI.

While celebrating the passage in the House of Pelosicare, CACG had this to say about the whole debacle.

“As Catholics, we applaud the efforts of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Bart Stupak, and others who helped extend current restrictions on federal funding of abortion to health plans participating in the public [health] exchanges.”

Not so fast, pal. According to Judie Brown of the American Life League, some of the provisions still in Pelosicare allow for federal funding of abortion and other life issues, something the Catholic Church is supposed to be dead-set against. Please read Mr. Kincaid’s article to see for yourself.

The CACG advisory council reads like a who’s who of leftist groups. Some of the groups that are represented on the advisory council: SEIU, AFL-CIO, Georgetown University, and Boston College. No wonder the Catholic Church has been throwing their support behind card check.

The SEIU representative on the advisory council of CACG is a man by the name of Tom Chabolla, assistant to SEIU president Andy Stern. Prior to this gig, Chabolla served as associate director of programs for CCHD, directing money to ACORN to the tune of $7.3 million over the past 10 years.

The Gamaliel Foundation, an interfaith group with a socialist agenda, still continues to receive money from CCHD. They’ve been pushing hard for continued financial support through CCHD and is citing that it is “under attack from those with a partisan agenda to de-fund groups committed to organizing for social justice.” It says: “Many Gamaliel Foundation affiliates rely on funding from CCHD to serve their communities.” Yeah. ACORN’s done a great job of that, eh?

Gamaliel says on its website that “Barack H. Obama, former Gamaliel organizer, is the 44th president of the United States,” and that this makes the organizing community proud. It also has a story about Obama friend and White House adviser Valerie Jarrett speaking to a Gamaliel event in Washington, D.C. of 2,500 activists. Jarrett is the official who said that “we” had recruited communist Van Jones to the White House. Another speaker was Melody Barnes, Obama’s Director of the Domestic Policy Council.

Before coming to the White House, Barnes was the executive vice president for Policy at the Soros-funded Center for American Progress (CAP). Van Jones also worked at CAP before going to the White House. CAP CEO and President John Podesta, who served as President Clinton’s chief of staff, is a major “progressive Catholic” and member of the ACORN advisory council, and served as a professor at Georgetown University.

Interestingly, Tom Chabolla of the SEIU and formerly of the CCHD was on the dinner committee for the 33rd Annual Hubert H. Humphrey Civil Rights Award Dinner, which was held on May 7, 2009 in Washington, D.C. One of the winners was none other than Van Jones.

While appealing for more funds through CCHD, the Gamaliel Foundation received $300,000 from OSI in 2008.

Let them continue to go to Soros for their funding as they seem to be of like minds. They’ll see not another dime from me.

While watching the nightly Fox News Channel programs cover the healthcare/mob/Pelosi/Hoyer/townhall debate, it dawned on me. There are people like Terri Schindler Schiavo who are icons of the dark side of Obamacare.

Terri Schiavo was the young Florida woman who went into a debilitative state after her heart stopped briefly in 1990. The heart stoppage was caused by a potassium deficiency brought on by a bout with bulimia. Terri’s brain was deprived of oxygen, and she was of limited capabilities from that time.

A long legal battle was waged in the weeks before her death. Her husband, Michael, had insisted that Terri never wanted to live in such a state and petitioned to have her feeding tube removed and water withheld. Her family argued that Terri did respond to environmental stimuli and deserved to live. They begged Michael to sign Terri over to them, but to no avail. On March 18, 2005, Michael Schiavo won the right to remove Terri’s feeding tube. She died 13 days later.

The issue of Terri Schiavo begs the question: What if this had occurred under the present administration? We can almost write the script.

Terri would be labeled an unproductive citizen of society. Government bureaucrats would order her medical care withheld as soon as she was accepted as a resident of the hospice. The euthanasia crowd would physically block her family from trying to save her.

Numerous accountants funded by George Soros would study the cost-effectiveness of Terri’s care down to the last bed sheet used. When their reports were filed, her family’s wishes and willingness to assume all responsibility for her care would matter not. Pro-death supporters would be on hand to verbally assault the family and call them fascists for wanting her to live.

Their cries of “greedy family” would become the battle cry of the left.

The media would be on hand to make sure that all the pro-lifers were painted as a bunch of nuts with swastika tattoos. The SEIU and ACORN would be called upon to rough up those who dared speak out in defense of a brain-damaged woman who was being starved to death. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC would have a 24/7 live feed to the White House and Supreme Court to be able to identify those protesting Terri’s demise.

As the end draws near, a call is made to the White House. Obama, never one to let a good crisis go to waste, boards Air Force One and flies directly to Tampa. Surrounded by Secret Service, the faithful left genuflect and lay down palm leaves during his walk to the entrance of the hospice. He steps inside as members of the Black Panthers quickly block the entrance.

Minutes later, the press is called to the entrance of the hospice. They quickly jockey for position in the rush to get first coverage of the events about to unfold. As they wait, prayers and hymns can be heard from the pro-life crowd who had been ordered to stay three blocks away. Suddenly, the doors open.

Obama steps to the podium full of microphones with a look of sadness on his face. He begins to speak.

“Fellow Americans, WE WON!” he says as he breaks into a smile.

The media no longer restrains their glee as Dear Leader raises his hand to the heavens while clutching a copy of the legislation responsible for this whole chain of events.

There is a man whose money has facilitated a wide variety of projects in this country and abroad. His name is George Soros, and his ventures run the gamut from politics to helping the poor. Among them, there is his extraordinary work in the area of palliative care (pain relief), death and dying.

In view of the rant currently being propagated by the Pallimed blog, which is a commentary on news and items of interest to hospice and palliative medicine, there is a need to dig deeper and explore the underlying philosophy among those who are outraged that people like me are saying something negative about their agenda.

When those in the business of providing pain relief to patients charge forward with negative descriptive adjectives, meant to demean the work of people like myself and the LifeTree experts, you can pretty much conclude that we are on to something. If not, the supporters of Obamacare would be using logic rather than pointing fingers and attempting to relegate us to the right-wing fringe.

It’s a free country, but the facts are essentially unchanging regardless of the hysteria. In the real world where people live and die, a recent e-mail from a hospice nurse reminds us that all is not well in health care:

How grateful I am to have run across your website! This may be an answer to a desperate prayer! I am a nurse who has practiced for 17 years. I am horrified about hospice, and how they routinely and blatantly murder patients on a regular basis, and somehow convince the patients and their families that their actions are “merciful” and reduce suffering when in actuality they are increasing the suffering of these patients and refusing any life-sustaining and true comfort measures. I feel so powerless to convince people about the truth of hospice, since many have used and been fooled by them and their propaganda.  …[I]t is going to be hard to convince people about the truth of hospice, since they have worked very hard to create “trust” in people who clearly don’t know the truth. People need to know the truth; they need to know about how hospice KILLS and does not comfort.

I realize that her comments are anecdotal, and that not every hospice is cost-cutting by killing, but she’s not the only one from whom I’ve heard. Situations like this one and the one I described in a previous commentary, “Imposing death in a government-run hospice,” are not the sort of reports people want to hear, but the truth always stands alone.

And that brings me back to Mr. Soros. One of the facts I learned from LifeTree experts is that Soros is fundamentally necessary to this entire brainwashing cabal who want us to believe that pain relief can mean whatever they want it to mean, as long as the patient is “comfortable” and perhaps even comatose due to overdosing.

As LifeTree makes perfectly clear on their website:

The Obama administration wants “palliative care” (e.g., pain control) because it is a cost-saving alternative to curative treatment. “Palliative care” is presented as both symptom management and curative. That is misleading, and deliberately so. “Palliative care” is symptom management. “Palliative care” has been defined and cultivated by the same people who are pushing universal coverage. Soros-funded doctors have spent the past decade establishing “palliative care” as a new medical sub-specialty. “Palliative care” is a cost-savings device.

LifeTree is by no means a lone voice. Marie Jon, a news analyst and religion writer recently opined

If Obamacare is passed, the same insidious protocols — “Advance Care Planning” — will be set into place to cut the cost of his massive government healthcare program. Our senior citizens will receive mandated appointments for counseling that will determine if they receive minimal medical treatment or are told to go home and die. They will be offered assistance and instructions on how to take their own lives.

Marie sites the actual legislation and quotes from it in the same way we and others have been doing.

John Griffing penned a sobering evaluation of the current Obamacare bill:

… if HR 3200 becomes law, “due process” regarding someone’s life will become a question for bureaucrats.  When all is said and done, the ultimate result of the proposed bill is to transfer to government the unprecedented power of determining who lives and who dies.

Once a government adopts this utilitarian stance toward human life, anything becomes possible. Suspend for a moment your jaded response to Hitler references, and note that in Germany, Order T4 required physicians to kill 70,273 people[i] “judged incurably sick, by critical medical examination”[ii] or those “unworthy of life.”[iii] 5,000 of these victims were children. The elderly, the mentally infirmed, the deformed, and the racially impure, were put to death by teams of “medical experts.”  Thousands were sterilized. By 1939, 360,000 people had been sterilized to prevent the reproduction of the socially “unfit.”

Although the methods have grown more subtle and the language more libertarian, our attitudes are not so very different in America today. We casually discuss whether people with certain afflictions merit the costs necessary to keep them alive. Quality of life trumps sanctity of life in most quarters. Dr. Jack Kevorkian’s assisted suicide methodology, once unthinkable, is now an acceptable topic for polite conversation.

George Soros is the money behind much of the creative planning that has gone into the Obamacare proposals addressing care at retirement age and beyond. If one examines the history of the Open Society Institute, Soros’ first and foremost think tank, it would not be news to learn that Soros wanted to create change in the way Americans speak about a number of things including death.

In 1996, Soros launched Project on Death in America. The aim of the project was a simple one: “Change the culture of dying.” Writing on the success of the project, Gary LaMarche, vice-president of the Open Society Institute, explained that from the beginning, Project on Death in America was focused on change, on the involvement of politics in health care and the Soros vision of what dying should be like.

Between 2001 and 2003, Soros funded a study group with specific attention paid to palliative care. In his reflections on the project and death in America, Soros tells the reader:

My mother’s death was more recent. She had joined the Hemlock Society and had at hand the means of doing away with herself. I asked her if she needed my help; I offered it, although I wasn’t particularly keen to do it. But I would have helped her because I felt that I owed it to her. At the point of decision, however, she did not want to take her own life, and I’m glad she didn’t.

Soros’ commitment to a benevolently utilitarian program involving pain relief and palliative care is evident in the work of the Project on Death in America. It is not unfair to suggest that the apparent ambivalence Soros has toward assisted suicide further suggests a less than humanitarian, Christ-like perspective that could well be what is permeating the Obamacare proposals. It is no secret, after all, that Obama and Soros have a great deal in common. Soros became an Obama fan early on and his ability to pour huge sums into a project he likes is nearly legend.

Michelle Malkin, a commentator whose work is always carefully documented, has revealed precisely how deep Soros’ financial support for Obamacare goes. The numbers may overwhelm you, as they did me, but we have to understand the man is a billionaire and he likes what Obama is proposing. Wing nut?  You decide…

So why do I care? I have a concern for those in our culture who have been and could be ever more marginalized, even to death, by programs, projects and laws that create an illusion of good while advancing an agenda of evil.
Former presidential candidate Patrick J. Buchanan’s “Time to go, Grandpa,” reminds us:

To secularists and atheists who believe life begins and ends here … the woman alone decides whether her unborn child lives, and the terminally ill and elderly, and those closest to them, have the final say as to when their lives shall end. As it would be cruel to let one’s cat or dog spend its last months or weeks in terrible pain, they argue, why would one allow one’s parents to endure such agony?

When all the name-calling is set aside, the tortuous debates have ended, and America is left with what I hope is a failed attempt to nationalize health care over the bodies of the vulnerable, one wonders who will be found to be accurate in their assessments and who will not. Only time will tell.

In the interim, the web of deceit has been finely woven and the spiders are working overtime to snap up the unsuspecting.

In Nazi Germany, Joseph Goebbels was appointed the Minister of Propaganda. Today, we have George Soros filling his shoes.

For those of you who may not know who George Soros is, let me give you a brief biography. Soros is a billionaire who acquired his wealth through hedge funds and stock speculation. He has since used his wealth to further liberal agendas around the world, including throwing millions of dollars to efforts to try and unseat George W. Bush in 2004. ACORN and moveon.org have him tagged as one of their top donors. He is a member of the Bilderbergers and also of the Carlyle Group. The man defines the word “leftist.”

According to worldnetdaily.com, the Associated Press has agreed to allow free publication by four nonprofit groups: the Center for Public Integrity, the Investigative Reporting Workshop at American University, the Center for Investigative Reporting and ProPublica. All of these groups are funded by George Soros. AP will also distribute the material to their 1,500 subscribing newspapers.

Pro Publica is a group founded by a $10 million yearly grant. Herbert and Marian Sandler, the former chief executives of the Golden West Financial Corporation, were the people backing the grant. Currently sitting on the board of Pro Publica is none other than Henry “Beer Summit” Gates, Jr. Last year, the Sandlers sold their business to Wachovia for an estimated $26 billion, a deal that had their personal shares at $2.4 billion.

The Sandlers are major donors to the Democratic Party and are top funders of ACORN, MoveOn.org, the American Civil Liberties Union and other far-leftist groups like Human Rights Watch.

In 2008, the Sandlers were behind two controversial California Political Action Committees, Vote Hope and PowerPac.org, which spent about $5 million in pro-Obama ads in that state. The two groups were run by the Sandler’s son-in-law, Steve Phillips, the former president of the San Francisco School Board.

The journalistic integrity of Pro Publica has been called into question on more than one occasion. The Capital Research Center issued a report concluding that Pro Publica “churns out little more than left-wing hit pieces about Sarah Palin and blames the U.S. government for giving out too little foreign aid.”

CPI, another nonprofit group being helped by AP, is funded by Soros’ Open Society Institute.

CPI churns out regular partisan pieces. One widely debunked CPI study from last year, covered extensively by the AP, claimed it found President Bush and top administration officials had issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq as “part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses.”

Richard Poe, a writer for the Center for the Study of Popular Culture, concluded CPI and other Soros-funded so-called watchdogs “have a long history of coordination with Soros and his Shadow Party. They are beholden to Soros personally for his financial support. His influence often shows in their choice of targets.”

The AP itself has called the arrangement to distribute pieces from the Soros and Sandler-funded nonprofits a six-month experiment that could later be broadened to include other investigative nonprofits and to serve its nonmember clients, including broadcast and Internet outlets.

“It’s something we’ve talked about for a long time, since part of our mission is to enable our members to share material with each other,” said Sue Cross, a senior vice president at the AP.

She added the development in 2006 of an Internet-based system for members to receive AP material made it easier to do this kind of sharing and to offer new products like the investigative service.

Now we know that Jeffery Immelt isn’t alone in all of the Obama hype and hysteria. The man behind the curtain is none other than George Soros.
