Today the socialists in the US House of Representatives will pass (or by the time you read this tome will have passed) National Healthcare Reform – that which we have chosen to refer to as ObamaCare. It will forever have HIS name on it as well it should, because it was his campaign to “fundamentally change America” that brought us to this reintroduction of slavery in America.
The American Saga bleeds with betrayal of the American Revolution. How fond a world it would be if all we had was the petty oppression of King George III assaulting our birthright? In the beginning, there were Federalists and ant-Federalists. Alexander Hamilton won the infidelity prize and betrayed the American Revolutionary War much more than Benedict Arnold.
If natural progression holds true, next will come the National RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip implanted at birth. It will broadcast a radio signal all the days of your life telling the government who you are, and where you are, at all times. National ID, of any kind, takes away one of your basic rights, the right to privacy.
The Tea (Taxed Enough Already) movement has been defined as populist, conservative, and libertarian in tone. It is a movement diverse in leadership and organization but united in its defense of liberty and the constitution. Its members are technologically savvy and able to mobilize in a moments notice. It is anti-elitist, anti-big government, and anti-big business.
We often mistakenly assume that our freedoms come from our government. They do not. As the Declaration of Independence so clearly states, “We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights…” Our Founding Fathers formed this republic with the understanding that we have rights that come straight from God.
So, why should anyone want to impose licensing on bloggers? Why did King George want to limit the Colonist’s access to printing presses and their output? Why do the Chinese, Iranian & Egyptian regimes imprison and torture bloggers? Censorship is the tyrant’s way of preserving his grip on power. In a relatively free society, censorship is the first rung on the ladder to tyranny.
Here in America, there are some 235 million people who listen to radio every week. A performance tax would reduce, not just the amount of music you hear on you favorite radio station, it would reduce the number of stations. Among the hardest hit stations would be the minority-owned stations.
The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government — lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.
The founders created the nation, and while many went into (at times) government service at various levels, many others went back to work, or back to the farm. They left us to manage our own lives, without the tyrannical interference of government. On the other hand, our current elites crave power, and seek to wield that power in order to dictate most aspects of our lives.
Black conservatism stresses traditionalism, robust patriotism, free-market capitalism and aggressive social conservatism within the context of the black church. Principally, black conservatism emphasizes personal responsibilities, irrelative of socioeconomic class and institutional racism.
This week, major media outlets reported that, “at the cusp of his national career, he was an FBI target whose network bosses fretted about whether he should be fired. Paul Harvey, who died last February at 90, enjoyed a 20-year friendship with FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, often submitting advance copies of his radio script for comment and approval.
The importance of this trial can not be exaggerated. Freedom of expression is at risk. While it may be lost to Holland in this trial, this trial may set a precedent for similar trials elsewhere in Europe and perhaps even in the United States.
Socialism has failed, utterly, everywhere in the world it has been tried. The European nations have begun to awaken to this fact and are voting socialists out of public office. Here in America, we have just voted into office our first socialist President, if you don’t count FDR who actually iniated socialism in the American government.
The lesson of the William Tell story is simple and clear, free men are armed men who know how to use their weapons and have the willpower and confidence to use them. It was this legacy and the Swiss reputation as a nation of marksmen that discouraged the German Army from invading the tiny Alpine nation during World War II despite Hitler’s wish to punish the Swiss for choosing neutrality over joining his new unified Europe.
The government has proven that it also cannot protect the American people from Terrorists, Criminals, or mad coyotes. In fact, by removing, the ability of the law-abiding citizen to carry legally on airplanes the government made it possible for those terrorists to murder several thousand people. And yet, the hard left would have you believe that it was the people and not the government, that the gun is at fault and not the people.
The Founders and Framers foresaw a limited government subject to the States. Today it is exactly the opposite. Now the states are subject to the federal government. In other words the creation of the States… namely, the Federal Government has become a “Frankenstein” of sorts. This was NOT what the founders and framers intended. Not by a long shot.
Islam’s Hellbent determination to impose its blasphemy law on us is not about defamation, it is about supremacism. Islam claims to have a monopoly on divine truth, all else is false. They are attempting to impose through “international law” what they can not yet impose by force of arms. Any criticism of Allah, Moe & their doctrines & practices is offensive to Islam.
Rising from its own ashes like the mythological Phoenix bird, man will eventually have no choice left him. As our freedoms erode almost daily, it seems, the urge to break the bonds of an overpowering government fuel the desire to escape, to move on, and to seek a new home in the vastness of the last frontier where man can once again flourish in the restoration of the freedom he is being denied.
A right is a gift from God that extends from our humanity. Thinkers from St. Thomas Aquinas, to Thomas Jefferson, to Martin Luther King, Jr., to Pope John Paul II have all argued that our rights are a natural part of our humanity. So, our right to life, our right to develop our personalities, our right to think as we wish, to say what we think, stem from our humanity.
