Conservatives Get Stupid, Again
What a let down. Here conservative Republicans were so close to respectability and even acceptance in polite society. In Prince William County, VA where I live, conservatives convinced themselves we’d come far from that time in the recent past when the WaPost described evangelicals (essentially another word for conservative Republicans, since there is considerable overlap among the two demographic groups) as “poor, undereducated and easily led.”
Democrats Regulating the Dead
Personal preferences are a reliable method of distinguishing between conservatives and Democrats. Conservatives believe personal preferences are just that: personal and particular to the individual. When others don’t share his preferences a conservative looks for more congenial companions or surroundings. Sometimes he even takes the initiative and creates a like–minded opportunity in the private sector.
Raising Cain!
I catch a lot of flak concerning my insistence that Obama stands a better than even chance of winning four more years in the Presidency. In fact, I believe there is every reason to believe that he WILL win another term even with all the problems the country has today… many of which can be traced directly to his inadequacy as a leader on the national and international stage.
GOP Set To Steamroll Conservative Voters – AGAIN!
The US has reached the critical stage in its existence. I am convinced that our survival as a free people hangs on the results of the 2012 election. I also know I am being about as delicate as a bull in a china shop suggesting that conservatives leave the GOP in these months before such an important event in our history.
Dead skunk stinkin’ to high Heaven
Conservatives make a fundamental mistake regarding government employees. Frequently conservatives rail against lazy workers, using the enthusiasm–challenged as examples of all that’s wrong with government.
Yet drones making personal calls on their cell phone aren’t proponents of bigger, more intrusive government. Those disciples of inertia are, in a way, our friends.
At This Rate Obama Wins By Forfeit!
The first GOP Presidential debate is coming up and the GOP still hasn’t fielded a candidate capable of winning against Obama. If a Republican candidate (with at least a chance of winning) doesn’t soon toss his or her hat into the ring, Obama wins by forfeit… of a sort.
Possible GOP/Tea Party Presidential Ticket: Trump/West?
By J. D. Longstreet
We conservatives are still looking for the “dark horse” candidate to appear and give us a reason to get excited about the 2012 election so we can stoke the fires that will drive our candidate across the finish line in victory and try to bring some sanity back to our federal government in Washington, DC.
Contracts Are Made to Be Broken
By Michael R. Shannon
Conservatives and Tea party voters now know the discount rate on Boehner–led Republican promises is in the neighborhood of 62 percent. This means if Speaker Boehner promises to cut $100 billion from an Obama spending spree while running for office in November, you are going to get no more than $38 billion when he’s actually in power in April.
America DOES Need A New President. Only … Its NOT ROMNEY!
Mitt Romney was in New Hampshire over the weekend shining his image as he endeavors to capture the republican nomination as the candidate for President of the United States. Problem is – conservatives, whose numbers basically control the nominating process; don’t want any part of Romney.
You Can’t Be a Little Bit “Private”
You can’t be a little bit private any more than you can be a little bit pregnant. The concept is part and parcel of the left’s assault on the family, Christian values and the unborn. Which is why “privacy” is the last argument that conservatives should ever use to justify passing or repealing a law.
How an Average Blogger Upset a Sitting Congressman (Part 4)
A Sad Day in America
I find great sadness that I had to discover there are many people who call themselves conservatives who don’t believe in political free speech. Many of us true conservatives realize the GOP has been hijacked by neocons and moderates, but I learned the hard way as I heard many justify efforts to silence a blogger …
Will The GOP Stop Obama?
The republicans seem not to understand that this is their last shot at getting it right. Conservatives grudgingly gave them this chance because there was no other viable political party they felt they could entrust with the battle plan to unseat Obama and his socialist agenda for the United States.
Conservative Americans and a Conservative Political Party
I am not convinced the Tea Party is in the fight for the long haul. I suspect the Republican Party feels the same way. I expect we will see a flurry of activity, when the new congress opens this week, orchestrated by the GOP and designed to give the impression that they (the GOP) does intend to comply with the demands of the Tea Party. But, I am afraid – it is only another façade and not intended to last very long.
Global Mischief Caused By A Weak US President
North Korea artillery firing on South Korea is just the sort of global mischief we can expect when the Chief of the Global Police is weak, and has a worldwide reputation for being an international “pushover.”
MASS x Velocity = Momentum!
Scott Brown is not a Pro-Choicer. He has stated he is not making a priority of overturning Roe v Wade. Instead, for the time being, he is pragmatically supporting efforts to reduce the number of and demand for abortions by promoting adoption, and assisting mothers in KEEPING their babies; opposing tax funding of abortion, and supporting parental notification laws etc. So what’s wrong with that?
Passion over Palin
Now the Republican Party has climbed aboard the “Get Palin” train. Why? The GOP is scared witless that Palin will be the first presidential candidate of the Tea Party in America. If that should happen, she will split the republican electorate, take a slew of votes away from the GOP candidate, and, most likely, insure another victory for the Democrats. However, Palin’s possible Tea Party candidacy would suddenly boost the power of those members of the GOP electorate who subscribe to the Tea Party’s conservative philosophy.
Is it Time For Michael Steele to go?
This is a significant problem. In fact, it is an enormous problem. To set this nation right, we MUST win the House this year. I don’t believe it’s optional. Given the growing discontent among the public, and especially among independents, it would seem to be an achievable goal.
Nothing new about this tactic
In their best let’s-you-and-them-fight mode, the bought-and-sold Obama worshipping mainstream media is advising the Republican Party to surrender to its tiny left-leaning wing they call the moderates and allow them to set the GOP’s agenda.
No Quick Fixes
A lot of people are sitting around waiting for the election of Bob McDonnell in Virginia and Chris Christie in New Jersey, believing it will give Barack Hussein Obama his comeuppance and break the momentum of his rush to socialism. Important steps, yes, but just a start.
