Obamacare is the equivalent of the Confederate States declaring succession and the first shots fired at Fort Sumpter. That time it took a war to restore the Union, but this time a huge majority of people, Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, independents, and every other political flag other than the Communist and Socialist Parties USA is opposed to this 2,700 page monstrosity.
If the Kamikaze Congress does, indeed, pass ObamaCare into law, the battle cry from the voters of America will immediately become “REPEAL OBAMACARE.” Public relations campaigns are already being planned around the concept. Candidates who subscribe to a repeal of ObamaCare, and promise to work towards such a goal, will be virtual “shoo-ins” at the polls in November.
While many Americans do agree that some oversight or even changes must occur with the current health care set-up it should be noted that the reasons it has not been able to pass so far is that only one side, the Obama/ Pelosi love affair has been unwilling to waver on various agendas.
It looks dead. But is it? Poke it with a stick and see if it moves. Hold a mirror beneath its nostrils and watch for condensation. If this were the TV series “CIS” or “NCIS” we’d punch a spike thermometer through its abdomen, and into the liver, to determine time of death – if any.
In the upcoming “summit” between Obama and the Republicans on his ObamaCare proposal… you know, the one the American people have flatly rejected… you can forget the democrats tossing out anything in the current proposal. Ain’t gonna happen. The dems, with the added weight of Obama, hope to overwhelm the Republicans and force them into folding.
I say again, the majority of Americans do not want government-run socialized medicine. The progressives/socialist/Marxists/democrats are dead set on ramming it down our throats despite that fact. This so-called healthcare summit with the Obama Regime is just another way to do that ramming.
I have the an uneasy feeling that the American citizenry is being led down the “Primrose Path” — a path, I’m afraid, that leads to destruction. I am beginning to think it may very well be time for all of us to ask ourselves if we are prepared to survive in a post apocalyptic America? …
I have heard various arguments for why Hayworth is a better candidate than McCain. Most of all what I have heard is the following, “Hayworth has the experience needed to defeat John McCain.” However, is this enough, is this really the only reason we want to vote for a person to replace another?
If there was no partisanship in Congress laws would be flying through the hoppers of both houses and onto the law books, willy-nilly, and we would very quickly become a dictatorship of some kind. That would indicate that there was NO OPPOSITION to the ruling party. The representative republic, that is America, would cease to exist almost immediately.
ObamaCare is a death sentence to the democratic majority in the Congress and will certainly relegate Obama, himself, to the long list of one term democratic presidents. To pass the bill is suicide for the democrats and they are hell bent on doing just that! Their work continues in the shadows of locked rooms as they devise alternate plans to get that bill to the President’s desk for his signature.
The Founders and Framers foresaw a limited government subject to the States. Today it is exactly the opposite. Now the states are subject to the federal government. In other words the creation of the States… namely, the Federal Government has become a “Frankenstein” of sorts. This was NOT what the founders and framers intended. Not by a long shot.
An unapologetic Harry Reid commented, “A number of states are treateddifferently than other states. That’s what legislation’s all about: compromise.” Meaning those that held out were had even more taxpayer money redistributed to their states. As usual, those standing against the government takeover got the shortest end of the financial stick while those rolling over to the pressure from above reaped the rewards of their treachery.
Want to know what’s going to happen? OK. There will be this great show, complete with weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth, and then the House will pass the bill. Simple. All the fuss and bother is sorta like the old magician’s trick of “misdirection.” While you are watching the show, the real work is going on behind the scenes and the bill WILL be passed – and America will be shafted!
The Boxer-White House effort makes the Watergate cover-up and obstruction of justice look like a juvenile prank. It’s paving the way for cap-tax-and-trade laws that would nationalize the entire US economy – by the same divisive, dictatorial elements that are nationalizing our banking and healthcare systems. They understand, even if the general populace still does not, that by controlling carbon they will control our lives.
America has now had the opportunity to see what a socialist government can do to America. We have seen the current US government — made up of Socialists, Marxists, Communists, Progressives, and a mere sprinkling of real Democrats — nearly cause the collapse of the greatest nation ever to grace the globe.
When you peel away the BS spewed by the EPA you will clearly see the ploy being used by the Obama Regime to say to the Congress, either YOU pass the Cap and Trade bill, or MY EPA will pass regulations that will regulate practically every aspect of American life
Currently in the United States, there are too many politicians in Washington, DC, pretending to be representatives who believe the General Welfare clause gives them power to do nearly anything. They have molested the General Welfare clause and made it something that it’s not.
Your government, however, has decided that, in 2012, you can no longer choose to purchase and use Thomas Edison’s iconic invention, the 100 watt incandescent light bulb. By 2014, all such bulbs will be banned from sale. That’s right, they will vanish from the shelves of supermarkets and other outlets.
Barring a complete change of power in Congress in next year’s midterm elections, it is beginning to look like a new Declaration will have to be written as this administration and this Congress continue to run roughshod over the will of the People to bring about their enslavement and the destruction of the nation.
