In 1991, the Soviet Union, arguably the greatest experiment in Communism, collapsed. After Mao Zedong died in 1976, his successors moved to shift its Communist economy to one that embraced Capitalism while retaining centralized government control.

Following World War Two, the recovering nations of Europe were rescued from Communism by the Marshall Plan, but adopted Communism-Light in the form of Socialism. The U.S. was already headed in that direction, creating programs that we now call “entitlements.” For most of the nation’s history, such “entitlements” did not exist.

What binds together the financial problems of the West is the common thread of infantile behavior and thought. One might call it wishful thinking. Instead of encouraging people to provide for old age and possible illness, politicians decided to turn government into Big Daddy, the eternal source of money for everything.

Need to go to college, start a business, or plan for retirement? Government would be there to help. All this ignored the need to actually pay for these programs. In the case of Social Security Congress began to dip into its funding to pay for other programs! This is what children do.

One can look around the world and see what a failure both Communism and Socialism have been. Governments spending more than their tax and other revenues have suffered grievously from this path to default and that includes the United States of America. It can be argued that, with few exceptions–the Reagan years come to mind—Presidents have been poorly served by their economic advisors.

Politicians make poor economists because, in America, members of the House must think of getting reelected every two years and Senators every six. Moreover, being politicians, they believe that the more federal largess they can bring back to their State and then brag about is the one true path to reelection.

At the very beginning of the nation, Thomas Jefferson said it best. “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

How many commissions and special committees have earnestly produced reports intended to deal with a government grown too large? At the federal level, some two million or more Americans are employed promulgating a deluge of regulations and pushing paper.

Now President Obama says he wants to streamline the federal government.
The real issue is not “streamlining” government agencies by gathering them together under one roof and one administrator, but the failure to end government departments and agencies that no longer serve a useful purpose and whose removal would also remove countless obstacles to economic growth.

In April 2011, Wayne Crews of the Competitive Enterprise Institute warned that “the federal government is on track to spend more than $3.5 trillion this year. What most people don’t know is that government actually costs about 50% more than what it spends. That’s because complying with federal regulations costs an additional $1.75 trillion—nearly an eighth of GDP. And almost none of that cost appears on the budget.”
The United States of America, the greatest engine of wealth the world has ever seen, is bankrupt. The national debt exceeds the Gross Domestic Product, the sum total of all revenue generated by goods and services.

The President has asked that the debt ceiling be raised another trillion or so and Congress will comply. That, I submit, is insane.

I also submit that, since Barack Obama was sworn into office on January 20, 2009, the nation has been witness to the economic insanity personified in the man and in the Democrat-controlled Congress that was his partner until 2010 when the control of the House of Representatives was wrested away by the Tea Party movement and its support for Republican candidates.

The only constant in life is change. America’s demography has changed. We have, thanks to medical care and other advantages, a much older segment of the population than ever before, but the nation from the 1930s to the 1960s had committed itself to ensure they would have Medicare and Medicaid at a time when people more often than not died in their 50’s and 60’s. We now have an average life expectancy of 78 years. My parents lived into their 90s.

Politics, not economics, continues to make it impossible to revise and restructure both Medicare and Social Security to reflect this reality. Instead, we had Obamacare foisted upon us which took trillions from Medicare and imposes rules that will let elderly heart attack or stroke victims die rather than pay for a level of care to which they contributed during their working years.

If the Supreme Court declares Obamacare unconstitutional it will go away. If we elect a Republican Senate, the repeal already passed in the House will be passed and it will go away.

But America’s economic problems will not go away until Americans insist that the shackles of Big Government be cut loose to enable the growth of an energy industry that can not only make the nation energy independent, but produce billions in revenue as far as the eye can see into the future.

The tax system with its thousands of pages must be revised to a simpler, fairer program. It makes no sense that forty percent of Americans pay no taxes at all.
It’s not that we don’t know what must be done. Conservative think tanks like The Heritage Foundation, the Cato Institute, The Heartland Institute, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and others have spelled out programs that can and will save America, but the nation must be led by a president who understands that Capitalism involves budgeting, planning, hard work, and—yes—risk.

The federal government is running on “continuing resolutions.” It has not had a formal budget since Obama arrived. This is no way to run the greatest nation on the face of the Earth. America is on a suicide watch and we are just an election away from saving it.

Like the biblical prophets of antiquity – Moses, Elijah, Isaiah and John the Revelator, all who jeopardized their lives and heroically proclaimed the word of God to the ignorant, arrogant and barbaric masses, the Israelites, people who constantly refused to hear the words of life, truth, reason and salvation – so it is in our times. In 1958, a modern-day prophet named Cleon Skousen wrote a visionary book titled “The Naked Communist,” warning America and the world of the existential communist menace, and for the past six decades all we did was metaphorically roll over in our beds and grumble, “Wake me when it’s over.”

Well … it’s over! We’re all communists now.

Don’t take my word for it; read the words from the communist forefathers’ own mouths:

• Marx: Democracy is the road to socialism;
• Lenin: Democracy is indispensable to socialism. The goal of socialism is communism;
• Marx: The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism.

History tells us that all of America’s Founding Fathers hated democracy and considered it one of the most evil forms of government ever known to civilization, which is why they insisted on a republic founded under natural law (integration of legality [common law] and morality [Judeo-Christianity]). In the 1830s and ’40s, Karl Marx (an atheist who hated religion) exploited the inequities of Christianity, democracy and capitalism in his prolific writings and foretold that they would soon give way to the birth of democratic socialism, which as state policy first occurred in Germany under Otto von Bismarck (1862-90) who created the modern welfare state by building upon a tradition of welfare programs established in Prussia and Saxony in the 1840s.

During the 1900s, state socialism and communism would spread its tentacles throughout Europe, Russia, Asia, South America and North America, where it thrives to this day.

Here are some more communist tactics Skousen exposes:

Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under communist attack.

To save his state from bankruptcy, in February, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker fought against unionism and collective bargaining. Like entitled children, the union leaders provoked their membership, including all public sector employees and teachers unions, to riot simply because they were asked to pay 12.6 percent of their health-insurance premiums and contribute 5.8 percent of their salaries to the Wisconsin Retirement System pension program (taxpayers will cover the majority costs). Students allied with teachers who all skipped class for weeks, violently protested at the state Capitol building and cost several million dollars in damages to the building, even though most citizens agreed with Gov. Walker’s modest proposals.

Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures.

Democracy, socialism and communism are all fascist ideologies and are all defined by their interference in the market. The moment the government interferes with the free market in any way, capitalism ceases and is automatically replaced by liberalism, socialism, fascism or communism. The only difference is in degrees. Democratic socialists have been masterful over the decades at manipulating the media to mainstream communist ideas into society.

Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. Control art critics and directors of art museums by eliminating all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

Skousen chronicled that an American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.” A few weeks ago I wrote a Socratic dialogue, “Symposium: Art, music and the Wagnerian dilemma,” to demonstrate how liberalism has glorified the evil, vile, obsessive and the grotesque, while denigrating the beautiful, pure, inspiring and the transcendent by systematically and purposely corrupting all aesthetic expression in American culture.

A painting of the Black Virgin stained with elephant dung, Andreas Serrano’s “Pi—Christ” (1989) and Robert Mapplethorpe’s “Self-portrait with bullwhip” seen protruding out his rectum are other examples of aesthetic nihilism, which is a goal of communism. We the taxpayers are forced to pay for the housing and the exhibition of these and thousands of other degenerate works of “art.” The overvalued, nitwit scribblings of Picasso and his decadent lifestyle 100 years ago is another case in point.

Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

Since the 1960s, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Supreme Court have made pornography “constitutional.” This brings to mind Justice Potter Stewart’s famous aphorism to describe his threshold test for pornography in Jacobellis v. Ohio (1964) – “I know it when I see it.”

Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

Communism believes that “Truth is anything that will promote communism.” Therefore, moral depravity, including militant homosexuality, degeneracy, promiscuity, pedophilia, bestiality and worse are all acceptable means to collapse Christianity and capitalism. In the end, built upon its ashes will be a utopia, a glorious new worker’s paradise where everyone has all their needs taken care of from cradle to grave by the omnipotent State. The price? Your money, your liberty, your blood, your life and your soul.

The picture above is from Eugen Richter’s 1907 novel “Pictures of a Socialistic Future” and speaks of the universal truths about the treachery of socialism. The novel is written from the perspective of a true believer of the socialist revolution who tragically realizes that a political system that violates the laws of economics and human nature can only lead to poverty, hunger, violence and, ultimately, dictatorship. Unfortunately, by the time he realizes his ignorance, his world has been destroyed.

The differences between Richter’s era 100 years ago and now is that then, the anti-intellectual virus of public-education atheism and socialist propaganda hadn’t run its full course yet. In 2008, national collective ignorance caused America to elect a naked communist and anti-Semite as president. In 2011, cowardice prevents America from nominating a first-tier candidate brave enough to expose this Marxist usurper and dispatch him back to Chicagoland where he belongs. Why?

… Because we’re all communists now.

In the early 1980s, one of the books I read in college that eventually converted me from Democratic socialism to conservatism was “The Naked Communist” (1958) by Cleon Skousen.

The 45 communist goals Skousen documented over 50 years ago reads like today’s newspaper, but most people are either too ignorant (“I didn’t know”), apathetic (“I don’t care”) or egocentric (“I want power”) to understand that since FDR both political parties have essentially morphed into one leviathan hypocrisy. America has devolved into a servile welfare state where more and more of its citizens are victims of voluntary slavery to the federal government.

Examine this simple syllogism below from the mouths of communism’s forefathers:

• Marx: Democracy is the road to socialism;
• Lenin: Democracy is indispensable to socialism. The goal of socialism is communism;
• Marx: The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism.

The logic is both seductively wicked and complete. America’s Founding Fathers hated democracy, calling it “mobocracy” or rule by the mob, and considered it one of the most immoral forms of government ever conceived by mankind. Karl Marx exploited the grotesqueries of democracy and crony capitalism in his writings and understood that these economic policies promote class warfare and socialism and that socialism is merely a euphemism for communism.

Recent examples of the government taking over the means of production is President Obama turning GM, General Motors, into Government Motors in 2009, Obamacare, the Wall Street, union and mortgage-industry bailouts.

U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war and U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war

Conservative intellectual Ann Coulter wrote, “There are only two choices with savages: Fight or run. Democrats always want to run, but they dress it up in meaningless catchphrases like ‘diplomacy,’ ‘détente,’ ‘engagement,’ ‘multilateral engagement,’ ‘multilateral diplomacy,’ ‘containment’ and ‘going to the UN.’”

Democratic socialists and RINO Republicans irrationally believe the Marxist aphorism, “The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism,” but Reagan championed the idea, “Peace through strength.” Victory is the only way for America to fight an intractable foe like Western Marxism, communism and its fascist cousin, Islam. Appeasement has dominated American foreign policy since the Korean War – which has purposely crippled our military readiness. We fear nuclear war instead of making our enemies fear the United States.

Permit free trade between all nations regardless of communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war

Crony capitalism and many in the GOP demand unrestricted free trade, even with the devil himself, without allusions to moral considerations. This radical openness policy to communism started under Nixon, who opened the door of the West to China in the 1970s, and, in the 1990s, Clinton, who treacherously gave away U.S. military secrets to China. Forty years later, China now rivals America militarily, holds most of America’s debt, which they use to manipulate our economy by artificially inflating the Chinese yuan while deflating the American dollar. China and Russia aggressively plan to remove the dollar as the world’s currency.

Isn’t it about time that the mainstream media and all others begin to examine the record and conclude that a Communist holds the reins of power in the White House?

Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, it is often believed that Communism died with it. Not so, Communism is alive and well in China, North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela.

From the days of Harry Truman who discovered that Franklin Roosevelt had given the Soviets Eastern Europe at the WWII Yalta Conference, American presidents have steadfastly done what they believed was required to keep Communism “contained.”; some more successfully than others.

The Communist Manifesto is well worth reading. Among its planks is the abolition of private property and a government that owns or controls much of the U.S. landmass is antithetical to this keystone of capitalism.

The Manifesto calls for “a heavy progressive or graduated income tax.” It calls for the centralization of credit in the hands of the state. We have a “Federal Reserve” that is a national bank.

It calls for “centralization of the means of communications and transportation.” We have a Federal Communications Commission. There’s more and you can read about it here.

America has never had a Communist President until now.

While others have written how obvious it is that Obama is a “Socialist”, I think this is a matter of caution in a society that has not seriously used the word “Communist” since the 1950s when entities like the House Un-American Activities Committee actively investigated and exposed how many existed in the government, the unions, and Hollywood.

It’s not like Barack Hussein Obama has come out and said, “Yes, I’m a Communist”, but you don’t have to have a PhD in Political Science to connect the dots. The process is made murky by the way Obama has deliberately covered his tracks wherever he could, while dropping broad hints.

Obama is the classic “red diaper” baby, the result of a union between his mother, Stanley Dunham and Barack Obama Sr., memorialized in “Dreams of My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.” However, Jerome Corsi, the author of “Obama Nation” notes that “we are told by Obama outright…that much of the autobiography is not factually true, at least not as written.” Indeed, much of what Obama has had to write or say of his life is fiction of one sort or another.

His father abandoned his mother, returning to Africa “to live the life of a chronic alcoholic.” He was also “a man of the left.” Obama’s mother remarried and took him off to Indonesia, but other than developing a fondness of Islam, not much is known of that period. A second divorce put Obama in the care of his grandparents in Hawaii and it was there where his most formative development occurred.

In his excellent book, “Dupes”, historian Dr. Paul Kengor traces the role of the former Soviet Union and the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) as it developed both spies and “fellow travelers” devoted to turning the U.S. toward Communism.

Towards its end the book traces the most important influences in the life of President Obama. The conclusion that he is a Communist is unavoidable.

Obama’s grandparents were devoted to socialism, raising their daughter in schools known for it, even attending a church that reflected it. They were close friends with Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the CPUSA and an Afro-American. Dr. Kengor noted that, during the 1970s, the period of Obama’s adolescence, “His impact is profound because he mentored a young man who made it all the way to the White House.”

Among the hints Obama drops in “Dreams of My Father” was a reference to his college years “hanging out with Marxist professors”, attending “socialist conferences”, and discussing “neocolonialism.” Dr. Kengor quotes Dr. John Drew, a contemporary of Obama at Occidental College for whom Obama was “as a fellow Marxist” and said of the President, “Obama was already an ardent Marxist when I met (him) in the fall of 1980.”

After graduating from Columbia University, long a hotbed of a Leftist faculty and students indoctrinated with a liberal political philosophy, and later Harvard Law School, Obama moved to Chicago where he became close friends with former far-Left Weatherman terrorists of the 1960s, Bill Ayers and his wife Benardine Dohrn. His first venture into politics took place in a fund-raiser in their home. Obama attended a Black Liberation church in Chicago led by Rev. Jeremiah Wright who rarely had a good word for America. Ayers calls himself “a communist with a small ‘c’.”

Among those chosen to be in his administration was Van Jones, “an avowed communist” named as Obama’s “green jobs czar.” When exposed, he resigned. Another figure of the far Left was Jeff Jones whose consulting firm, the Apollo Alliance, “helped write President Obama’s budget-bursting $800 billion ‘stimulus’ bill passed by Congress shortly into the Obama presidency.”

For those still in denial, consider an article by Stanislav Mishin that appeared in Pravda, the Russian newspaper that was formerly one of the main organs of the Soviet Union. “It must be said that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheep”, much of which he attributed to “the election of Barack Obama.”

That was written before the spontaneous explosion of the quintessentially American Tea Party movement. Since then we have seen the dramatic reversal of power in Congress that occurred as the result of the November 2010 elections.

The harm and damage done by our first Communist President will take years to repair, but Americans have wakened to

• the socialist menace of the nation’s public sector unions,
• the centralization of education in the federal government,
• the threat of the Environmental Protection Agency’s assertion of control over America’s energy sector,
• the refusal of the Interior Department to grant drilling permits,
• the devaluation of the U.S. dollar by the Federal Reserve,
• and the incremental efforts of an anti-American government to undermine defense, national security, our economy, and our worldwide reputation as a defender of freedom.

Winston Churchill, the former British Prime Minister who led that nation through World War II and coined the term “Iron Curtain”, said of Communism, “it is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”

In a recent press release from the Department of Homeland Security former Arizona governor Janet Napolitano the following campaign, “If You See Something, Say Something” was debuted. Bringing overtones of early communist Russia and the “Watch your neighbor” with it this new program promises to satisfy even the staunchest anti freedom advocates ideals. Several corporate partners are training their managers and staff with regards to this new program, Wal-Mart is one of those.

In addition to the new “old” promotion of further restrictions by big government, recent reports regarding a new “app” from Apple for IPhones has many in an uproar. The PatriotApp™ states that it “empowers citizens to create safer, cleaner, and more efficient communities by leveraging social networking and mobile technology.” The premise behind the new app is to report “suspicious” activity to Federal and State entities that are linked with this app. So will this new technology help local police or promote security?

According to the Sierra Vista Herald local police dispatchers already get several calls for every incident depending on the nature of “traffic” in the local area, in a recent interview the following incident was reported, “After a moment, it’s clear that the callers on the other end are reporting the same incident” a vehicle collision near Target. “We’re going to get seven to 10 calls, depending on the intersection, what time it is and how severe it looks to people,” Papatrefon said. Without missing a beat, the information is relayed to police and fire personnel.”

When I questioned the department about the app and program, they were unable to confirm information regarding the app, though they were and are aware of the new program by the DHS. When I spoke about advances made recently in the method of “security” being forced on Americans several people made it clear that they supported the TSA, Assange of Wiklileaks arrest, and better security options. I must ask now however, is this approach any different than East Germany, Cuba, Communist China, or the Soviet Union before its fall?

People have often asked the question, how could citizens of communist nations allow what happened to happen, the above answers your question quite well actually.

Recently I received an email and requested permission to share it. It says a great deal about the danger of a government inclined to ignore the Constitution. December 15th is Bill of Rights Day; time to read them if you have not done so already.

I want to thank you for your Warning Signs blog. I want you to know that I am scared out of my wits with everything that is going on…

I was born, raised, and grew up in Communist Poland. I presently reside in the USA since June 1983. I love the country and love Americans. Every time the national anthem is played I tear up with happiness to be lucky enough to live in The Greatest Country on Earth!!

What I see happening all around us is very troubling, since Obama’s election and the great number of people looking forward to change and hope to get us on track to build a better tomorrow. The light at the end of a tunnel, however, has turned out to be a TRAIN!!

Of course, as everyone, I have my opinion just about everything…

I am not the sharpest tool in a shed, but I call Obama “The Closer” just like the TV show I watched a few years ago. Over the years our society was brainwashed and socially conditioned
I’ve experienced it back in Poland when our party Leaders were feeding us utopia, talking about the greatness of our country, how proud we shall be, how lucky we are, how together we shall build it even stronger, work harder, save more, and as one we will overcome the BAD AMERICA!!!, the source of evil, racism and slaves!. All the time they kept us with no freedom and communist propaganda in the newspapers and on TV.

I remember as a young child—maybe 9 or 10—my Father and I would wake up at 2:00 AM to listen to ‘Free Europe” (BBC station) a one-hour broadcast on the radio. The transmission was very much interrupted with static, but religiously we were finding out some truths. Our window was covered with a heavy blanket (we did not want to take any chance with neighbors or passing police patrol noticing any activities.)

Even when we talked about it later and I had some questions it was always done in such way that my 6-years younger sister couldn’t be near for fear of her saying something to someone.

I remember when Russians invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968. The whole school was gathered by the main road, we were given Russian paper flags and were told to wave at the moving tanks and heavy military trucks and yell “hello” and clap and be happy that we have such good help in the Soviet Union to protect us from the ‘evil movement’ that had spread over Czechoslovakia that they said put us all in danger.

My late Father always told me “Keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut and if you ever have an opportunity to escape safely don’t even take a second to think about it. Just go for it and make a better life for yourself in a free world where you can talk without blankets in a window”.

Sadly I see my country, the country that gave me the opportunity to enjoy freedom in all aspects slowly becoming a closed-door agenda, anti-American bills and policies not upholding the values on which it was established and for which thousands died to keep it true.

I am offended when Obama is not holding his hand over his heart when the anthem is played.
I am offended when he called me an enemy.
I am offended when he bowed to the Saudi Arabian king!
I am offended with his lies so obvious and bold that a deaf person could hear it!
As far as I am concerned he is not my president.

I am concerned we increasingly live in a society where everything we say or write can be fodder for those who think the Bill of Rights was written for a different age or people and no longer applicable.

On Bill of Rights Day it is useful to recall that several of the original States refused to ratify the U.S. Constitution unless the Bill of Rights, the first ten Amendments, was included.

If America is not about personal, individual, political, and spiritual freedom, than it is not America. It is about the rights reserved to the States and the People. Without them, life in America will be no different than the Communist Poland from which my correspondent escaped.

Americans would do well to pray for the failure of the US Senate to ratify the “New START” Treaty with Russia. (The New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) The security of the United States is at risk. In fact, the US should be building nukes at an increased pace and we should, most certainly, move forward, with all deliberate haste, to create and bring on line a viable Anti Ballistic Missile System as quickly as is humanly possible.

The New START may be good for Russia, but it is certainly NOT GOOD FOR AMERICA and it should be scrapped!

A few reasons the Senate should not ratify New START: It limits the development and deployment of America’s missile defense system. It also reduces America’s nuclear stockpile, does not allow America to modernize our existing nuclear assets, and some say there are no hard and fast rules within New START for verification.

New Start is a BAD treaty for America and we urge the US Senate to give it a “thumbs-down.”

What with North Korea kicking up its heels, these days, nuclear proliferation should be addressed, as well. Actively waiting in the wings are Syria and Iran. Soon they will step onto the stage as nuclear powers. Now that I think about it, nuclear proliferation should be addressed BEFORE there is any discussion of a treaty, of ANY kind, that will reduce our nuclear stockpile.

I maintain today, as I have for over a decade that China is our mortal enemy and we need to worry about China’s growing nuclear arsenal and the continued modernization of their nuclear delivery systems, as well as their on-going construction of underground bunkers, which are meant to insure a second-strike capability for China.

There are reports that China’s warhead numbers have even doubled in recent years. The US’s top brass say China may now be able to put multiple nukes on a single, newly developed, road-mobile missile.

Peter Brookes, A Heritage Foundation senior fellow and a former deputy assistant secretary of Defense writes the following:

“China’s 2nd Artillery (nuclear forces) is reportedly building 3,000-plus miles of tunnels in central China, known as “the Underground Great Wall” — likely providing Beijing with an enhanced, land-based, second-strike capability. Naturally, China’s ICBMs are thought to be targeted at us.

But Beijing is also diversifying its nuclear capabilities by broadening its force structure into the traditional triad — missiles based not just on land but also on bombers and subs.

China’s new class of strategic submarine may already carry its first sea-based ICBMs. And Beijing’s building another “boomer” sub class, too, significantly raising its nuclear-strike mobility and survivability — while lowering detectability.

It’s also adding advanced strategic bombers to the mix. Analysts believe China is developing long-range cruise missiles for these aircraft, which may have both conventional and nuclear warheads.” You may read Mr. Brookes’ entire article in the NY Post (HERE).

Mr. Brookes points out that China avoids arms control treaties.

The proponents of the New START treaty seem to think that other nations will follow America’s example if we disarm. That is a fallacy that could be fatal. In our opinion, that is infantile reasoning. It is a lesson I learned was wrong while I was yet in grade school. After being pounded upon (a couple of times) by the schoolyard bully, I learned to expect bad behavior from my fellow students, prepare for it, and be ready to put up a hell of a fight when the time came.

It is difficult for me to have a great deal of confidence in our leaders after they required several days to decide if a contrail streaking up the western coast of America was from a plane or a missile. Just as any experienced soldier can tell if the sound made by an artillery shell is “in-coming” or “out-going” the least we can expect is for our military leaders to know the difference between the contrails of a missile and/or an aircraft.

With all the terrorist groups and rogue states in Asia and the Middle East (with nuclear weapons or working 24/7 to create them) Russia’s nuke capability is less important than a viable missile defense system for America.

America is more in need of some adult leadership in the White House than any new arms control treaty with Russia — or any other country.

The New START Treaty deserves nothing less than a quick death in the US Senate.

North Korea artillery firing on South Korea is just the sort of global mischief we can expect when the Chief of the Global Police is weak, and has a worldwide reputation for being an international “pushover.”

Why would North Korea fire on South Korea? They did it because they could – and because they were, and remain, confident the Obama Regime will do nothing more than posture in public, issue a “stern” warning, and … well … THAT’S IT!

All the behind-the-hand-snickering we have heard from the world’s rogue state leaders was an indication that they understood Obama had loosened their leash.

First there is a missile launched off the coast of California a few days ago. (You may choose to believe it was the contrail of an aircraft if you wish. I do not.) I happen to believe that was a Chinese missile and it served its purpose, which, I believe, was to say to Obama: “Hey, we’ve got you by the cajones … and don’t you forget it! Now – about Taiwan … “

Oh, this is just the beginning. Things are going to get rowdy around the globe until we get a new sheriff in town or, if you will, a new Chief of the Global Police.

For Instance: When Jimmy Carter was President we had the Iran Hostage situation. Within minutes of Ronald Reagan being sworn in as President, those hostages were freed.

They may be rogues, but they understand power and they understand and respect the application of power, and they understand when a US President decides to bring the hammer down, they are going to be smashed.

There is Syria, North Korea, Iran, Russia, China, Yemen, Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia, Venezuela, the Palestinians, and Hezbollah in Lebanon, not to mention Al Qaeda or The Balkans, all capable of creating trouble at a moment’s notice. Of course, I did not mention Iraq or Afghanistan because we already have boots on the ground in both countries.

It is a fact that man is basically evil. We humans are capable of anything including appalling cruelty to our fellow human beings. As a conservative I understand that, so I expect my fellow man do such unthinkable things as initiating a war on a whim.

Man is a rebel. As people of faith the world over understand, man rebelled first against his own Creator. As punishment, man received the gift, or curse, of free will. The mixture of free will and a rebellious nature is explosive. We have been at each other’s throats since the children of the first couple became a murderer and the victim of murderer.

Nothing much has changed since that fateful day. Now, we murder in much greater volume and with much greater efficiency.

Over time our tribes became klans and then countries. Countries initiated governments and governments initiated laws in an attempt to control man’s rebelliousness and conduct all that energy into productive channels that would benefit the population of the various countries.

Obviously, some countries became better at it than others. Some thrived while others did not prosper as well. We became a planet of “have” and “have-not” countries or nations. It wasn’t long until the “have-nots” decided to take what they wanted from the “haves.” Or the “haves’ decided to simply take the “have-not” country and make it a part of its greater self in order to make better use of the natural resources of the aforementioned “have-not” nation.

In the case of the former, it never worked – at least not for long. In the case of the latter, it did work often enough that great empires were born such as the empire of Alexander the Great and the Roman Empire.

But man is a rebel – remember? Tell him he cannot have something and that is the thing he wants most. Call it covetousness, or whatever; the plain truth is that man is never satisfied. He hungers for that which he cannot have.

There are two primary hungers, which have eaten at man since the Garden of Eden: freedom and power. Even today, in the twenty-first century, the desire for freedom and power burns within the heart of man with the fiery brilliance of an atom bomb explosion. And that gift, or curse, of freewill is the lit fuse on that volatile mixture.

I explain all this, as best I can, to try to explain that one must understand these basic facts of human nature before one can understand all the strife between nations the of our modern world.

And it is here that conservatives and liberals disagree, fundamentally, on how a powerful nation, such as the United States, must approach its enemies and the nations that continue to create, cause, and even fund worldwide mischief.

Conservatives understand that you cannot negotiate with someone who will not negotiate. You cannot talk to someone who will not talk. You cannot take the word of a liar whether that liar is an individual or a government.

Conservatives, unlike liberals, also understand that war can, and often does, solve a host of problems. It is also true that war sometimes creates a host of new and unexpected problems. Conservatives, who do not seek an unobtainable Utopia on earth, understand this and accept that it is a part of the human condition. We do not accept the delusion that man is basically good and kind. We know that wishing it so does not make it so.

The US has been the leader of the free world, on planet earth, since it was granted that position by, well, default. However, we have often made mistakes. But they have been mistakes we have quickly corrected or have made amends. Making a “pilgrimage of apology,” bowing and scraping before the leaders of other countries, does nothing but demonstrate a nation’s weakness. When the leader of the United States makes a point of doing just that, America must expect mischief to be forthcoming.

The current President of the US, unfortunately, is seen around the globe as a weak leader. As a result America, and the free world, are just beginning to see emboldened enemies probing, trying, and testing his fortitude.

So far, in his tenure in office, President Obama has acted more as a politician than a leader. He is a great orator, a great politician, but a poor leader, especially on the international stage. The world knows this, even if his own political party does not.

There will be more incidents, such as the North Korean shelling of a South Korean Island, in the months ahead. “While the cat is away, the mice will play” is an old axiom with a great deal of truth attached to it. Until the US elects a new cat — there will be much more activity among the mice. Count on it.

The Korean War ended in a stalemate in 1953. Having begun on June 25, 1950 with the blessings of Joseph Stalin, an armistice agreement on July 27, 1953 left the peninsula divided between the Republic of South Korea and the Peoples Republic of North Korea. How long ago was that? Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected largely on the promise to go there and secure an end to the conflict

By the time it was over the Red Chinese had intervened and American casualties were around 54,000 with 103,000 wounded. The North Koreans and Chinese were estimated to have lost ten times that number. The war was immensely unpopular with an American public that was still recovering from World War Two that had ended in 1945.

To his credit, President Truman did not hesitate to commit troops. Within two days after the invasion, Americans were fighting another war in Asia. The United Nations provided cover and the conflict was officially a UN action.

It was a proxy war, part of the long Cold War that had begun at the end of World War Two. The Chinese got involved when Gen. Douglas McArthur’s strategies put U.S. troops close to their border. He wanted to finish off not just the North Koreans, but the fledgling communist Chinese government as well. Truman relieved him of command after he neglected the fact that U.S. armies fight under civilian control in the form of an elected Commander-in-Chief and authorization from Congress.

In time, China for reasons of proximity and other factors became the power that controlled North Korea. Under Kim ill-Sung, known as the “Great Leader”, a Soviet protégée of Stalin’s, and his son Kim Jong-il, the “Dear Leader”, North Korea has evolved into the classic rogue nation. It was named one of George W. Bush’s “axis of evil.”

China provides life support for North Korea, the supplier of food and energy. In his 2004 book, “Rogue State: How a Nuclear North Korea Threatens America”, William C. Triplett II, noted that “communist China is central to all North Korean issues, from human rights to weapons proliferation.”

Whatever North Korea does is sanctioned by China. This fact has been largely shielded by U.S. policy from the American public. North Korea is known in diplomatic circles as “China’s hidden dagger.” The phrase is taken from an ancient Chinese military text called “36 Srategems.” It means the covert use of another country to annihilate your enemy. North Korea threatens South Korea and Japan, and by extension the U.S. which is committed to come to its defense.

American administrations have negotiated with North Korea and each has learned that they will not adhere to any agreement, using negotiations to secure bribes of all kinds, including one in which the U.S. agreed to build two nuclear facilities there! Recent news revealed they have increased their ability to produce nuclear weapons to the utter astonishment of U.S. intelligence agencies.

Its nuclear program was begun by Moscow and Beijing converted it to a weapons program. Triplett said that Beijing uses North Korea as a proxy distributor of weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles to terrorist nations that include Iran and Syria. They in turn, provide weapons to their proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas.

Like Iran, no sanctions and no threats of military reprisal have ever had any serious affect on North Korea.

Writing during the George W. Bush administration, Triplett said “There is no endgame strategy. North Korean aggression and provocations still go unpunished.” Together, the North Koreans and China “have successfully bogged any progress in endless diplomatic meetings and conferences while North Korea’s nuclear research marches on.”

America is in no position to fight another war on the Korean peninsula and is dependent on China (and Japan) to purchase its securities to keep its economy functioning in the wake of the 2008 economic crisis. America’s manufacturing base has largely been undermined by the transfer of many of our industries to China.

Americans have largely forgotten the threat of communism.

The latest North Korean attacks are China’s way of reminding the U.S. of its dilemma and dependence.

The failure to secure a victory over North Korea in the 1950s, too much dithering since then, and too much distraction fighting recent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have combined to render America a paper tiger who, despite our vast military power, will not or cannot pull the trigger.

Back on December 15, 2008, I did a column titled, UAW President: Rob the People’s bank! That brought a deluge of email from members of the UAW who emphatically stated I was a selfish b*tch, that I knew nothing about unions and without a union, workers in the auto industry would be exploited. My column was about the flat out illegal bail out of the auto makers and how free trade has killed our most important job sectors. Yet, the victims of “free” trade continue to vote the same incumbents back into office who destroyed millions of jobs and who now refuse to get H.R. 4759 passed. Get the U.S. out of NAFTA and bring home millions of jobs. I wrote about this critical bill back on March 20, 2010. There are still only 30 sponsors; two Republicans. Neither the Republicans or the Democrats in the Outlaw Congress care about the American worker. Their votes have killed our economy; the so-called financial reform bill was nothing but more smoke and mirrors.

The Democrats have had control of Congress since January 2007. They have done nothing to bring home millions of jobs by getting the U.S. out of NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT, the WTO, stop the withholding taxing scheme, demand enforcement of our immigration laws and deporting as many illegal aliens as possible. Instead, Democrats in Congress champion illegals who have stolen MILLIONS of jobs that belong to Americans of both parties. Now, unions are going to spend a massive amount of money to return the same incumbents back to Congress to continue destroying this republic:

Slick career politicians like John Boehner [R-OH] can continue belching about jobs, but his votes killed millions of jobs. He is not a sponsor of H.R. 4759 to get US out of NAFTA. Boehner, like most Republicans and Democrats use political currency to bash the other party while Americans sink further into despair and poverty. If Democrats think it’s all the fault of Bush and Republicans, they are fools. The same goes for Republicans who blame everything on Democrats. Both parties have brought this nation to financial ruin. There are hundreds of thousands of hard working Americans from both parties working feverishly to get the same buzzards reelected in November who have loaded the gun and pulled the trigger on our economy and our children and grand children’s future. It is pure insanity.

After I read them, I brought Fred onto my radio show because pension short falls were just starting to get the long over due attention necessary to inform the American people of the dire condition of those funds. Millions of Americans depend on their retirement funds and like so many other columns I write, this one is going to give you the raw truth. Knowing the facts can help you make important decisions for you and your family. Hopefully, it will also encourage voters in November to throw out incumbents in your state legislature who have created another financial disaster that is going to badly hurt millions of Americans in the states of the Union. There are many good state legislators, but the incompetent fools from both parties out number those legislators who do know the solutions, but can’t get bills passed.

Congress has NO authority to steal the fruits of your labor, my sister’s, your brother or mother to bail out state pension funds because your state representative and senator have entered into long term binding agreements with unions that were never realistic — especially in the event the economy takes a down turn. If only “down turn” were the bottom line, but tragically, the American people haven’t seen anything yet. Do not send me hate mail for being the messenger. Read the facts, understand the issue and then decide how all this is/will affect you and your family. You can decide whether all these unions are good for your state. If you are a member of a union, whether UAW, SEIU or at the state level, perhaps there’s something here for you to think about, too.

Too many Americans are paying little or zero attention to what’s happened in Greece, Italy, Spain and other socialist countries. Many don’t realize Greece has unions and now that decades of bloated government spending (like the U.S.) and massive “entitlements” have driven Greece into financial ruin, there’s no more money to pay the bills, just like here in American both at the federal and state levels. The rioting has been going on for months over there and if you think it’s not possible here, think again.

Who pays the taxes for these union workers?

June 23, 2010. New York. “Man Earns $300,000 Public Pension. One of the critical problems facing the state and local governments are pension funds that are way under funded. Fox 5 News first reported on James Hunderfund in May. The retired superintendent of the Commack School System on Long Island earns a pension of about $316,000 a year. On top of that, Hunderfund is now the superintendent of the Malverne School District. Fox 5 obtained his contract, which shows he makes about $225,000 annually plus he gets 18 paid sick days and 23 paid vacation days a year. His wife is the superintendent of the Locust Valley Central School District on Long Island. Her contract shows she makes $250,000 a year. When she retires she’ll get a pension. All of this is perfectly legal and paid for by taxpayers.

“Fred Gorman, the founder of a watchdog group called Long Islanders for Educational Reform, says the state employee pension system is bleeding taxpayers dry and that the state Legislature needs to step up and change the system. The web site seethroughny.net lists some state pension earners. It shows a retiree from the New York Public Library earning a pension of more than $188,000 year.”

June 27, 2010. State pensions are inflated as workers boost salaries. (This is NY) “Carmen A. Granto Jr. cashed in 45 unused vacation days and 747 accumulated sick days, boosting his salary over $200,000 in his two years before retiring…. Granto is getting a $147,109 annual state pension in retirement. He was making $129,000 a year when he retired in 2009. How did he do it? The same way others before him did it.”

Underfunding of union pension funds isn’t just a problem for those who receive that check every month. It will drastically continue to affect our economy for a long time to come – especially local economies. How? By more rape at the federal level in taxes to illegally bail out any pension funds. While the habitual liar, Obama/Soetoro says there will be no more bail outs, it is the Outlaw Congress who can push through another grotesque and illegal plunder of the people’s treasury. If the Democrats believe they will lose control of the House in November, there is a good chance they will “lame duck” this type of illegal legislation on the way out:

May 24, 2010. The Next Bailout: $165B for Unions. “A Democratic senator is introducing legislation for a bailout of troubled union pension funds. If passed, the bill could put another $165 billion in liabilities on the shoulders of American taxpayers. The bill, which would put the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation behind struggling pensions for union workers, is being introduced by Senator Bob Casey, (D-Pa.), who says it will save jobs and help people. As FOX Business Network’s Gerri Willis reported Monday, these pensions are in bad shape; as of 2006, well before the market dropped and recession began, only 6% of these funds were doing well. Although right now taxpayers could possibly be on the hook for $165 billion, the liability could essentially be unlimited because these pensions have to be paid out until the workers die.”

June 19, 2010. In Budget Crisis, States Take Aim at Pension Costs. “Many states are acknowledging this year that they have promised pensions they cannot afford and are cutting once-sacrosanct benefits, to appease taxpayers and attack budget deficits.”

As unemployment rises (it will get worse) and pensioners get less than their full check, states will continue to be unable to generate enough taxes to fund even basic services, much less these monstrous pension funds.

“If a union wins the election, must the workers join the union? No. Just as the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) gives employees the right to join unions, it also gives employees the right to refuse to join a union. The NLRA prohibits both employers and unions from forcing employees to join a union.

“However, employees can be forced to pay for the work that the union performs on their behalf, even if they do not want to join the union. Most collective bargaining agreements contain a union security clause. In effect, this clause requires workers to pay the dues and fees that union members are required to pay. If a worker refuses to pay dues, he or she can be fired.

“Because the law requires the union to represent all the workers in the bargaining unit, regardless of whether they are members of the union, the law allows the union to “tax” the workers for the benefits they receive from union representation. Some states prohibit union security clauses.”

Let me ask this question: Is belonging to a union good for your future? Do they are care about you – state unions or private ones like the AFL-CIO, Teamsters?

Let’s take one of the most corrupt, the SEIU. The Service Employees International Union spent $60 MILLION dollars to get a stinking communist, who is legally ineligible to run for president “elected” — that would be Obama/Soetoro who was born with dual citizenship. In 2007, Congressman Ron Paul introduced the Tax Free Tip Act would would make tips for service workers exempt from federal or employment taxes. You would think the SEIU and Obama/Soetoro would have jumped on that bill: No more federal taxes on tips for waiters, waitresses and so forth. Oh, no, the SEIU did nothing to let their members know anything about it. So, don’t tell me the SEIU cares about their workers. That union supported a Marxist who is hell bent on stealing every last penny from every American except those he’s in bed with politically and financially. To be fair, the “caring” Republicans also ignored the bill.

How about the hundred million or so working folks who don’t belong to a union and are dying under the weight of federal and state taxes? Do unions serve taxpayers?

“Albany Police Officers Union President Chris Mesley recently chimed in regarding his position and the American taxpayer: “I’m not running a popularity contest here,” Mesley said. “If I’m the bad guy to the average citizen . . . and their taxes have go up to cover my raise, I’m very sorry about that, but I have to look out for myself and my membership.“

People want police protection, but should they be required to pay for it 10, 20, 30 years after a police officer has left public service? Does a policeman pay your retirement from J.C. Penny’s after 25 years on the job for another 20 years? Shouldn’t it be the responsibility of the individual to plan for their retirement and set up their own private retirement fund or should the public be forced to contribute just because the individual worked in “public service” whether it be police, state hospital worker or janitor at the state capitol?

April 28, 2010. Public Employee Unions Work Against The Public

“Many public sector union members get health benefits when they retire for free or nearly free for the rest of their lives. A friend’s mother retired from a Northeast state DMV. She was a clerk. She has medical coverage for life with $2 co-pays! Her pension was just raised $4,000 a year. What clerk gets that in the private sector? It is also not uncommon for public pensions to be high 5 or low 6 figure amounts. Why should taxpayers pay for lavish health care plans and pensions that most do not get themselves?

“Public unions across the country do not want to curb their pay, medical benefits or pensions, even though there is great pain and expense to the taxpayer and the economy. Public unions are not the entire reason states are in financial trouble, but cutting those benefits are certainly part of the solution. The good of the union cannot supercede the good of the public which pays them. Look for more protests and backlash from unions as they are asked to take cuts. Look for more outrage and push back from the public as they are asked to pay for the lush benefits. I predict public unions will either take some big cuts voluntarily or be forced to do so through bankruptcy. This money fight will not play well with hard working voters in the private sector this fall. Remember, the private sector is the only place where real wealth and prosperity is created. The public sector does not generate revenue, it only confiscates taxpayer money. Taxpayers need union employees to work for them–not against them.”

Make no mistake about it: Unions hold lawmakers hostage after they buy their favors with campaign donations. They are powerful, but now, well, the rooster is coming home to croak.

Of course, one must pay attention to the ‘International’ in SEIU. That union is just another communist front operation promising workers utopia, social justice and all the other communist claptrap while mother government drowns them in more and more taxes. If you think I’m just blowing smoke, you haven’t studied communism as I have for more than a decade. But, don’t listen to me, listen to William Z. Foster who wrote, Toward Soviet America. Foster was a useful fool, a Marxist labor organizer. He served as Secretary General of the Communist party USA (very active here in the USA) and promoted the destruction of free markets and capitalism – the very systems that made America the greatest debt free nation every on this earth. In no way am I saying that every American who belongs to any union is a communist or has communist sympathies. What I am saying is that the goal of world communism is to replace our free enterprise system by drumming into people’s heads – especially union members – that capitalism is evil. Tear down the classes! Raise up the toiling masses to their place of social and economic justice! Unionize workers so the working class can rise up for justice! Very dangerous propaganda and Foster gives it to you in plain language:

“The final aim of the Communist International is to overthrow world capitalism and replace it by world Communism, “the basis for which has been laid by the whole course of historical development.” On this the Program of the Communist International says :

“Communist society will abolish the class division of society, i.e., simultaneously with the anarchy in production, it will abolish all forces of exploitation and oppression of man by man. Society will no longer consist of antagonistic classes in conflict with each other, but will represent a united commonwealth of labor. For the first time in its history mankind will take its fate into its own hands….

“The future Communist society will be Stateless. With private property in industry and land abolished (but, of course, not in articles of personal use), with exploitation of the toilers ended, and with the capitalist class finally defeated and all classes liquidated, there will then be no further need for the State, which in its essence, is an organ of class repression…..

“The road to this social development can only be opened by revolution. This is because the question of power is involved. The capitalist class, like an insatiable blood-sucker, hangs to the body of the toiling masses and can be dislodged only by force. But when the workers have conquered power, how- ever, then the way is clear for an orderly development of society by a process of evolution. Naturally, even after capitalism has been overthrown and the power taken by the workers, society cannot simply leap to a complete Communist system. There are stages of development to be gone through. The first of these is the transition period from the overthrow of capitalism to the establishment of Socialism.”

Whether union or not, I highly encourage you to read this superb piece: Forgotten Facts of American Labor History By Tom Woods (May 5, 2010):

“The ways in which labor unionism impoverishes society are legion, from the distortions in the labor market described above to union work rules that discourage efficiency and innovation. The damage that unions have inflicted on the economy in recent American history is actually far greater than anyone might guess. In a study published jointly in late 2002 by the National Legal and Policy Center and the John M. Olin Institute for Employment Practice and Policy, economists Richard Vedder and Lowell Gallaway of Ohio University calculated that labor unions have cost the American economy a whopping $50 trillion over the past 50 years alone.

“That is not a misprint. “The deadweight economic losses are not one-shot impacts on the economy,” the study explains. “What our simulations reveal is the powerful effect of the compounding over more than half a century of what appears at first to be small annual effects.” Not surprisingly, the study did find that unionized labor earned wages 15 percent higher than those of their nonunion counterparts, but it also found that wages in general suffered dramatically as a result of an economy that is 30 to 40 percent smaller than it would have been in the absence of labor unionism.

“Although labor unionism has actually made working people worse off, however, the usual argument for labor unionism and government legislation on behalf of labor is that in the absence of these things, employers will pay their workers unconscionably low wages.”

A monstrous storm is building within the states because there is no money to meet all these obligations for public union pension obligations. Many pensions have taken a massive hit from the BP disaster in the Gulf:

“The California Public Employees’ Retirement System lost $284.6 million in value as the largest oil spill in U.S. history erased more than $1.4 billion from BP PLC shares held by 42 state retirement accounts, data compiled by Bloomberg show. The declines come as public pension funds are struggling to recover from investment losses that averaged 21 percent last year, according to Wilshire Associates of Los Angeles.”

In the meantime, the states of the Union are putting everything in jeopardy because to date, not one of them have passed a sound money bill. Why is this so important? Back in January, I sent a letter to 1100 state reps and senators about a sound money bill. It is self explanatory; the actual letter is at the bottom of the column. However, it is imperative that every citizen of every state, union or non union, understand that almost 3/4ths of the states in this Union are headed towards either total financial collapse or severe financial ship wrecks that will cause a huge harm to her citizens.

Those who depend on monthly checks from union pensions had better take the time to understand the information below because the states simply cannot meet those obligations and it will get worse for some time to come. In my humble opinion, some of what the states are doing with your retirement is dangerous for many reasons. The prime reason is the decline of the dollar, ignorance of our monetary system, what will happen when the FED can no longer print trillions in confetti and the commie Chinese refuse to bail out America’s foolishness.

Let me give you a few words from Dr. Edwin Vieira’s testimony in March 2009 for the financial committee, Montana State Legislature; the bill did not make it out of committee. A tragedy:

“The provision of an alternative currency will promote social justice. It will begin to rectify the wrongs perpetrated against wage earners whose standards of living cannot keep up with the systematic inflation built into the Federal Reserve System; against the elderly and infirm who live on fixed incomes that steadily erode in purchasing power; against those anxiously approaching retirement while watching the real values of their pension funds evaporate; against the poor whose only wealth is the small amount of currency they acquire from week to week; and against all the recipients of essential public services that the State finds it difficult or even impossible to provide to the requisite degree because the real values of tax revenues cannot keep pace with costs. And,

“The provision of an alternative currency will fulfill the State’s legal, moral, and political responsibility to protect the safety, health, and general welfare of her people against an economic calamity that no one doubts confronts this country at the present time…..

“But with this opportunity comes a extremely heavy responsibility as well. This matter is too important to be left to a single legislative committee’s determination. More than any other issue in recent memory, the need to provide Montana with a economically sound and constitutional alternative currency vitally affects every resident of this State, and perhaps every resident of the United States as a whole—not simply immediately, but for many years to come. A mistake made here and now may prove incapable of correction later on.”

This isn’t about Republicans v Democrats, right v left. This is an American issue that affects tens of millions of folks who depend on public pension annuities. The monetary issue affects every man, woman and child in this country. All states go back into session in January. Boots on the ground: Every adult in every state must stay after your state rep and senator to get a sound money bill passed – something that should have been done five years ago or more.
