His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed controversial. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley’s formidable political machine at his disposal.
Historians are likely to look back at 2009, the first year of Barack Obama’s term in office and assess the damage it has done to Americans and to the image of America as the primary line of defense against the world’s thugs.
A truth in America, every since the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 signed by Woodrow Wilson, is that our freedoms have been slowly taken from us every since. However, many have not witnessed the attack on freedom at the pace Barack Obama has instigated it. It almost seems as if the final pillar is in place–a pillar set up for a strong statist to look down upon the people. Ironically, a demagogue is in place to represent the powers that control the puppet.
According to Article V of the Constitution, it takes three-quarters of the states to approve any changes to the most precious document written next to the Bible. In those days, it was 9 out of the 13 original colonies. Today, 34 states would have to sign on to convening a Constitutional Convention. Many have the number of states in agreement at 32.
During a recent trip to a local Wal-Mart, I saw something quite disturbing as I stood in the checkout line. In the magazine wrack was a commemorative edition of some publication with a portrait of Barack Obama on the cover.
That was not the disturbing part even to someone that did not vote for him. Behind him on the cover was a glow making him look angelic or even messianic in appearance. Above the image, the words read “Barack Obama: The Hope Of America”.
