EPA comment period closes Tuesday

EPA’s CO2 comment period closes Tuesday, June 23, 2007. If you have not yet told them where to go with their egregious power and money grab, now is the time to do so. If CO2 regulation is not nipped in the bud, we will be penalized for everything we do; for every breath we take.
The proposed regulation is related to the Waxman-Markey bill, which will bankrupt us jointly & severally. This is a case of fabricating and exploiting an artificial crisis for political & economic exploitation. Read more »

The Toyota Prius Flower People Are Going to Attack

The new Toyota Prius commercial is the new Coke commercial. I have to admit I am a little creeped out by the new-age dances of the flower people as their hands lift upwards above each other’s petal heads, a sign of evil and death in the Indian world. They have faces, but you don’t see them up close which I find even creepier. I expect the road to suddenly turn into yellow bricks. It never does. Read more »

Climate change “morality”

Global average temperatures peaked in 1998 and since have cooled slightly, despite steadily rising CO2 levels. Except in its Western Peninsula, Antarctica is gaining ice, and Antarctic sea ice reached an all-time high in 2007. Arctic ice is seasonably normal, and in 2008 the Northern Hemisphere was covered by more snow than ever before recorded. Read more »

Back to the “good old days”

Many activists, bureaucrats, politicians and even some corporate executives present arbitrary CO2 reduction targets and timetables almost casually – as though achieving them were simple, desirable and necessary.
In reality, reducing America’s carbon dioxide levels to 80% below 1990 levels would return the United States to emission levels last seen in 1905 … and that’s before accounting for changes in population and energy-based technology. Lack of Sunspots May Provide Solid Proof the Earth is not Warming

2008 might set a record for the least number of sunspots recorded in a calendar year. In fact, it’s the first year on record that an entire month, August, came and went without one recorded sunspot. The occasion was the second annual International Conference on Climate Change sponsored by The Heartland Institute, a Chicago-based free market think tank. The place was New York City and the gathering involved seminars on all aspects of the bogus science put forth by the global warming alarmists. The conclusion should come as no surprise. In the political arena, however, bait-and-switch is often rewarded, not punished – especially in the case of global warming alarmism. Instead of fines or jail time, politicos get committee chairs, presidencies, speaking fees and Nobel Prizes. Scientists and bureaucrats receive paychecks, research grants and travel stipends for Bali. Activists get secretive government payments for “public education” campaigns. When Issues Collide

Right now, global warming advocates have a vision of the world being destroyed by rising levels of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that they attribute to human behavior as regards energy use. Those who disagree with this vision counter with scientific evidence that CO2 is a very small element of the atmosphere, only 0.038%, and there is no measurable evidence that it affects climate change.
