It was with the best of intentions that the colonists rebelled against a master that taxed them mercilessly. During the initial days of freedom much debate was had over the right of the “government” to tax its subjects. More importantly was the idea that each citizen could indeed own their property. The Fifth Amendment clearly stated, “nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”
Four years on, and Gilad’s still in captivityBibi has foolishly offered a 1000:1 ransom. Let him renege on that offer. On or immediately following the anniversary of the seizure, let the surviving members of Gilad’s patrol fall in for roll call. Let them call his name three times. When he fails to answer, let one of the 1000 prisoners proposed for exchange be summarily executed and buried in a pigskin shroud.
The great British statesman Sir Edmund Burke remarked: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” During these perilous times in the Age of Obama, would to God that we had a few good men to combat his naked fascism, to stop his efforts to resurrect FDR’s welfare state, part 2. In Muslim society, the Muslim alpha male respects only another Muslim alpha male and only if he can demonstrate that he has everything under control; otherwise he will be despised. The non-Muslim is at the bottom of the hierarchy and is treated with the utmost contempt. Kafirs are dirty subhumans to a Muslim.
Since the Vietnam conflict, this nation, mesmerized by the idiot box’s 15 minute segments, with all problems solved within an hour, has lost patience for long and bloody wars. The enemy is taking advantage of that weakness, banking on it. By setting an irrational deadline, President Obama is falling into their trap.
The Outlaw Congress in Washington, DC continues to break the law everyday as if there is no U.S. Constitution. Both parties are guilty of driving this republic into financial ruin while talking out of both sides of their mouths. They will say anything for a vote as we’ve seen recently regarding Connecticut’s Attorney General’s race for the U.S. Senate.
The summer heat of July 1913 did not keep the old Confederate and Union Veterans from attending the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. It has been written that over 50,000 sons of the North and South came for what has been called the largest combined reunion of War Between the States veterans.
America needs decisive leaders who understand what government can (and cannot) do to stop the Gulf gusher, clean up the mess, and get business, jobs and prosperity back on track. Instead, President Obama sounds like an anti-business Community Organizer in Chief – pointing fingers, making baseless claims …
