Things That Go Bump In The Night

interpol2 Yes indeed, contrary to the stories we tell our children, there are things that go bump in the night. It is particularly scary, or at least it should be, when they go bumping around the White House like they did on the night of December 16, 2009. That is the night that Barack Hussein Obama issued Executive Order 12425 that eliminated many Reagan era restrictions on INTERPOL, the international police force populated by many of the same types of people that make the UN so hostile to American values and sovereignty.

The conservative/libertarian blogosphere is all atwitter about this abdication of United States authority, and they are correct. However, I believe they are missing one critical point. These are the same people who were prepared to arrest Israeli leaders in Great Britain under claims from Palestinian states. These are also the same people who would love to get their hands on CIA operatives and American soldiers who were simply doing their jobs… in the way they were trained.

One of the major affronts to our sense of justice and rights of the accused are immunity from the restrictions of our Fourth Amendment which states:

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

The removal of this restriction and the exemption from the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) combine to give this foreign authority greater power to act within our own country against our own citizens than our own law enforcement officials have… and the authority came from the pen of the president who fails to understand American exceptionalism and who only understands the concept of state sovereignty as it relates to those who would do us harm.

Let us consider that last thought a little more closely. INTERPOL is working out of our own Justice Department. FBI agents are assigned to this body. Their actions are covered by INTERPOL immunity, thereby removing them from the rules and regulations that protect American citizens from excessive government intrusions. On one hand the goals of INTERPOL align nicely with Barack Hussein Obama’s internationalist philosophy, which is one that thinks protecting the safety of the American people is secondary to catering to whims of petty dictators and failed socialists throughout the world.

On the other hand, and this what most are missing, is that through US involvement in INTERPOL, Obama has access to a body that can effectively be used, outside constitutional restrictions, to do his bidding in exercising Chicago style thuggery in promoting his fascist agenda. Yes, there is more to this than permitting foreign police to trample on our rights of citizenship. There is nothing to prevent this power from being used by the President to base his policies on “international law” as he sees it, rather than our congress or our constitution. It is just one more step in rendering other elected representatives irrelevant to his rule.

Children’s stories are filled with things that go bump in the night, and they are just fantasies composed for fun. When they go bump in the White House, they are real, they are scary and they are a danger to every one of us.
