Americans embrace George Washington

| November 16, 2009 | 8 Comments

… and Abraham Lincoln, not Chairman Mao Zedong.

maoAmerica is under siege from within. Our nation has undergone a bloodless coup that required no military action. It occurred one year ago this month, at the hands of liars, cheats, and thieves who — calling themselves “progressives” — deceived the electorate at the polls and defrauded the electoral process.0

Our lives have been shaken and turned upside down and inside out as a result. “The Twilight Zone” has become a reality right here in the U.S.A. Fortunately, with the help of the Internet, blogosphere, conservative talk radio, and Fox News, the utopian facade we’ve unwittingly accepted is being exposed for what it really is. It cannot stand the light of day, and it is crumbling as a result.

Facts and truths are being laid out before us regarding the current Marxist “coup.” Americans are growing more than just a tad concerned about President Barack Obama and his handpicked and unaccountable “Czars.” These elitists hold to un-American ideologies that are certainly not mainstream. One cannot reconcile the radical, leftist philosophies of Obama and his cohorts with the noble goals of our Founding Fathers. We who love the American ideal embrace George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, not Chairman Mao. View: Does it Matter?

The electorate sees a failing economy — and can see through the president’s left-leaning, extreme social and political agenda. The president’s goals are being rejected and with good reason. Most people see themselves as more conservative than liberal. Recent elections that took place in two key states where Democrat incumbents reigned, New Jersey and Virginia, were a good indication of the mood of the electorate. The Republicans won both elections. In New York, the Conservative Party candidate almost won in a very close race.

Marxism on the march

Obama’s shameful and debasing vision for our country does not sit well with the American people. It is designed to assault and attack family values and our nation’s Judeo-Christian foundations.

Americans did not ask for another radical leftist like Kevin Jennings to head the president’s office of Safe Schools in the Department of Education. Yet, he will advance an agenda encouraging homosexuality in high schools and colleges, same-sex marriage, and teaching our little ones about why “Heather Has Two Mommies.” None of this belongs in our public schools. There will continue to be efforts to reverse and remove such polices for obvious reasons.

Indeed, parents have never wanted the lascivious indoctrination of their children now underway. It all must come to an abrupt end. We’ve have had enough. View: Homosexuals brainwashing our children in elementary schools

Americans have never expected or wanted the government to own car companies or banks and eventually assume dictatorial powers over corporate salaries. Eventually, the average Joe and Jane who work in small businesses will have their salaries dictated to them by the federal monster. We’ve all heard the president use the phrase “spread the wealth around.” Leveling the playing field is merely a euphemism for Marxism. View: C-Span March on Washington D.C. Sep 12 2009

The reality of Obama’s foreign and domestic policies is not the moderate fraud he tried to present during his campaign. His apology tours have diminished America in the eyes of its enemies, and have put our nation and allies in danger and weakened us as a superpower. His clashes with the CIA undermine our nation’s ability to deal effectively with that peril. Things are piling up. The handwriting is on the wall. On every front, our country is going in the wrong direction.
Government-controlled health care

Where did Democrats get the idea that Americans wanted their healthcare to be radically changed, especially if it meant pushing the elderly into the gaping jaws of big government? It must have been from the state-controlled media. Meanwhile, the National Endowment for the Arts, in collaboration with the White House, has become little more than a Goebbels-styled propaganda machine and is pushing the administration’s agenda.

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the American Medical Association (AMA) are organizations that have become willing pawns of the White House and its health care “adviser” Ezekiel Emanuel. According to his twisted thinking, the Hippocratic Oath is to blame for the “overuse” of medical care. His kind of rationing is not the constitutional role of government, nor is it a healthy approach to maintaining the world’s best medical care system. And it is not a reflection of the will of the people.

What we Americans do demand is for the president and Congress to keep their hands out of our private and personal decisions concerning our families and our health. Never did we expect to see the very best medical care in the entire world destroyed by bureaucratic elitists.

Improvements are needed in America’s health care system, but they can be made without a massive takeover by government. The Democrats know this, yet they are trying to force our country to conform to their extreme ideology. Most people understand why things are moving rapidly toward that goal. It’s about politics and the remaking of America into another image. This is as apparent as the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., or the Berlin Wall that President Ronald Reagan stood before twenty years ago. Reagan’s remarkable “Mr. Gorbachev, take down this wall” speech signaled the end of the Soviet Union. What a strange turn of events that we now have to fight off a Marxist takeover that is intent on destroying our own country from within. Unless enough patriotic Americans rise up to stop it, the erosion of our freedoms and liberties will continue.

Liberty hangs in the balance

Everything that Obama has done to our country will have to be reversed, if we are to survive in liberty. It will begin with our votes in the upcoming 2010 mid-term elections. We can and must obstruct the advance of socialized medicine.

If you have any doubts about the sinister nature of this administration, just consider these excerpts from the Wall Street Journal:

“The health bill that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi brought to a vote (H.R. 3962) is 1,990 pages long.

“What the government will require you to do:

“• Sec. 202 (p. 91-92) of the bill requires you to enroll in a ‘qualified plan.’ If you get your insurance at work, your employer will have a “grace period to switch you to a ‘qualified plan,’ meaning a plan designed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. If you buy your own insurance, there’s no grace period. You’ll have to enroll in a qualified plan as soon as any term in your contract changes, such as the co-pay, deductible or benefit.

“• Sec. 224 (p. 118) provides that 18 months after the bill becomes law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services will decide what a ‘qualified plan’ covers and how much you’ll be legally required to pay for it. That’s like a banker telling you to sign the loan agreement now, then filling in the interest rate and repayment terms 18 months later.

“On Nov. 2, the Congressional Budget Office estimated what the plans will likely cost. An individual earning $44,000 before taxes who purchases his own insurance will have to pay a $5,300 premium and an estimated $2,000 in out-of-pocket expenses, for a total of $7,300 a year, which is 17% of his pre-tax income. A family earning $102,100 a year before taxes will have to pay a $15,000 premium plus an estimated $5,300 out-of-pocket, for a $20,300 total, or 20% of its pre-tax income. Individuals and families earning less than these amounts will be eligible for subsidies paid directly to their insurer.

“• Sec. 303 (pp. 167-168) makes it clear that, although the ‘qualified plan’ is not yet designed, it will be of the ‘one size fits all ‘ variety. The bill claims to offer choice — basic, enhanced and premium levels — but the benefits are the same. Only the co-pays and deductibles differ. You will have to enroll in the same plan, whether the government is paying for it or you and your employer are footing the bill.

“• Sec. 59b (pp. 297-299) says that when you file your taxes, you must include proof that you are in a qualified plan. If not, you will be fined thousands of dollars. Illegal immigrants are exempt from this requirement.

“• Sec. 412 (p. 272) says that employers must provide a ‘qualified plan’ for their employees and pay 72.5% of the cost, and a smaller share of family coverage, or incur an 8% payroll tax. Small businesses, with payrolls from $500,000 to $750,000, are fined less. Full Article

The GOP AWOL

Americans celebrated this president’s inauguration as a major historical event. It is now obvious that Obama’s days in office will be remembered for their reckless and dangerous outcome, both at home and abroad. There has been, and will continue to be, a rude awakening for those who are behind the plot to dismantle our country. The thuggery of backroom Chicago politics won’t soon be forgotten.

Obama purposely stifles the private sector that could restore the economy. As a result, more Americans are out of work and have less money to spend. And with every passing month, more businesses are closing and the jobs they once provided are disappearing.

We The People” would like to know why the Republican leadership is not standing on the steps of the Capitol each week reading the names and the full backgrounds of the president’s nefarious Czars. Why are they not enlightening the citizenry about those who are plotting to bring this great nation to her knees?

Where is the same spirit that once was displayed by the historic patriot Patrick Henry? He stood firm while speaking these famous words: “Give me Liberty, or give me Death!” In this turbulent times, Americans want no less from their leadership.

Hopefully, the Republican National Committee got the message that the conservative voting base sent from liberal New York. We demand some changes of our own.

There must be a rededication and return to the conservative moral principles that made the Grand Old Party stand out and win. We are tired of the pandering and the platitudes. Our message to the GOP is: Prove yourselves to be trustworthy. Otherwise, we will go over, around, and under you to remove the worthless candidates put before us.

The core of the party is and will continue to be conservative. We are optimistic that we can make a huge difference for God and country. We will make sure our voices are heard. We demand better. The Republican Party can either work with us or shrivel and fade into irrelevance without us.

  1. AJ Smith says:

You can go ahead and delete the comments, but you must begin to realize that the crap that spilled onto this page is just that, utter crap. I would like to say that this is NOT a Christian nation. Just because you are Christian does NOT make this a Christian nation. You are narrow sighted and simple minded. You lack education and the ability to grasp even the simplest of ideas. You preach, and yet are completely blind. The blind leading the blind. You are a perfect example of that. You make me ashamed to admit I am an American. Absolutely ashamed.

  2. The article was written well, I agree with the above comment and it being a “Christian” nation. There were some principles applied during the foundation however, the founding fathers made it very clear that ALL religious persuasions were accepted (as long as they did not break the law) and they also made it clear that religion and the government should never become entangled with each other.

As for being upset with others regarding their beliefs- you have yours, I have mine, and that is FREEDOM!

    • AJ Smith says:

I agree with you on that point that you are entitled to your opinions and beliefs. That is what makes this country what it is. But don’t you believe that when views are skewed by biased news sites and distort the truth and the ideas, then the beliefs that you hold are not really your beliefs, but some TV personalities that is trying to sway you with fear and anxiety? My previous comments were harsh and for that I do apologize. I sometimes spew anger when I should be rational. One might not guess from my previous comments, but I am conservative (liberal-conservative) and religious (more spiritual). But yet, I get angry when I see ideas that are from Sarah Palin who has no place in politics, Beck who has no place anywhere in the public spotlight, and Fox News, which shouldn’t be a news organization. I am sorry when I take things to the next level against people that are just trying to understand. I am sure that 99 percent of the people on this site are legitimate hardworking patriotic Americans. But I also get scared that this divide we have created, where we must choose one side or the other, is what is tearing this country apart. Not the Health Care, not the Immigration, but this divide. If you are Red, you are not Blue. If you are Blue you are not Red. No more of this! We must get our knowledge from a organization that is not peddling fear. We have nothing to fear but ourselves. When a country begins to fear itself, each other, then we are no longer a true country. We are people who live in the same land, but do not trust or love each other. Again, to this site, to this editor, and to this author, I apologize.

Stop calling him “president.” He is an usurper; a pretender to the throne.
