Campus Reform: Hope for the Future

college-republicansAs many of the regular visitors to this blog know, education is one of my main areas of interest.  The evidence shows that the left has targeted public education for decades now, and are using it as an indoctrination tool.  Socialism/Progressivism/Communism are promoted, and the founding principals of our Republic are trashed, if they are mentioned at all.  Conservatives on campus are marginalized, and sometimes penalized for their beliefs.  I’ve been discouraged by the recent turn for the worse in public education (Barak Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm), as well as the fact that the left see’s no problem with that.  I was wondering how we could fight back, as even if we eliminated the Department of Education, we’d still have to deal with a bloated socialist bureaucracy, a power hungry teacher’s union, thousands of brainwashed useful idiots at the state and local level, as well as thousands of brainwashed teachers and other staff.   To my surprise and encouragement, I was recently contacted by an organization that is worthy of our attention and support.

Campus Reform is an organization that helps Conservative Groups at the college level raise awareness about Conservative ideology.  They help with activities, advise on presentations and  speakers.  They help expose liberal professors, and offer links to other Conservative organizations.  They seem to be active at many universities across the country.  Their website is here.  It’s well worth a look.

The following is an activity that they have planned for Halloween.  I think this will be informative, as well as  hilarious.

Still wondering what costume to buy for Halloween? Well now you can be both fiscally conservative and socially responsible. Brought to you by MatterNow at Valdosta State University is “Dress up Like Your Favorite Czar for Halloween.” In order to create awareness about the radical Obama administration, together we can educate other students on college campuses across the nation in a fun and informative way.

The only materials you will need are:

  1. Costume (clothing, accessories, etc.)
  2. Sign (Saying what Czar you are, what their job is, and what their extremist background and vague current activities are)
  3. Also be prepared to answer any questions about your Czar (in case a leftist interrogates you).
  4. Informational literature
  5. Bowl of candy (optional)

The best way to carry out this event is to pick a date around Halloween so it is relative to the time of year. A good way to do this event on campus is to set up a table with information about the radical agenda of the Obama administration and his fanatical collection of Czars. Students can place the table in an area with heavy foot traffic. As some students stay nearby the table to discuss the purpose of this activism event with curious passerby’s, other students in costume can walk around in a populated area with literature, which will also help direct students to the information table. Another good idea is to have a bowl of candy at the table to detail the Halloween time relationship and also entice students.

This organization is not going to single-handedly turn the entire liberal education establishment around.  But they have a great way to start; by confronting the liberal ideology being passed for truth at the universities, as well as helping to give Conservative students ways to find their voice.   By having entertaining and educational activities, people can learn about Conservatism (and the lies of the left), and help defeat the left’s monopoly on campus ideology.  The left seeks to ban all dissent, but fine organizations like this can go a far way towards fighting the ideological battle.  We have to remember that when people realize that they are not alone in what they believe, they can draw upon the support of others to become politically active.  The more we support others, and let them know that they are not alone, the more people will learn about Conservatism.  That, my friends, is what the left fears the most!
