ObamaCare – The Forbidden Chart

Interestingly the most open and transparent administration in history which controls the Franking Commission has given us another example of just how open and transparent they really are. For those not familiar with it, the franking privilege permits members of congress to send mail to constituents at taxpayer expense. From it’s own website, The Franking Commission “has a three fold mandate: (1) to issue regulations governing the proper use of the franking privilege; (2) to provide guidance in connection with mailings; (3) to act as a quasi-judicial body for the disposition of formal complaints against Members of Congress who have allegedly violated franking laws or regulations.”

Right out of Saul Alinsky’s playbook… working within the system to destroy it, the commission has begun censoring material sent to constituents by Republicans. Having gained pretty much complete control of the house functioning, they are flexing their muscles and squeezing out negative information whenever they can find it. They objected to the chart above which outlines the complexity of the proposed plan as well as references to “government run health care”. It is understood that there still is no final version of the bill so some of the boxes may be shuffled as the “majority party”, which they prefer to be called, engages in power struggles to see which illegitimate departments get the most influential positions.

For the most part, the main stream media has pretty much ignored the situation or, at best, treated it as an isolated instance. What they fail, or refuse, to see is that the current administration is consistently doing its’ best to control the information citizens get which, in turn, heavily influences their opinions.

The question is not so much are whether we can stop these institutional restrictions. Realistically, it doesn’t seem that stopping these attempts to censor the information we receive is possible while the current administration is in power. The question then becomes how do we counter the impeded flow of truth from the bowels of Washington?

This is a difficult question as the Franking Commission is just the currently visible tip of the censorial iceberg. Many of us have had an uneasy feeling about the president and members of his administration, but we now know that there was a basis for our inherent distrust. However we cannot become a one-note critic of the administration. As difficult as it may be sometimes, we really need to stick to issues and become dispensers of the truth.

When you stand up to a statist supporter of the current administration, sooner or later you will be called a racist and all sorts of other, often vile, names. Last night I had an online discussion with an Obama supporter who tried to say my opposition to his schemes was based on the fact he was a black man. He called me a redneck… as if that were something awful, telling me that of course I hated him because I was from Virginia. Somehow it escaped him that, unfortunately, our governor and two senators supported the fascist agenda coming across the Potomac River and they are white. I guess they did not get the memo.

He could not comprehend that someone could oppose “universal”, government run health care, the bailouts or whatever solely on principle. I guess it’s because the concept of acting on principle is so foreign to those wanting to expand the power of the state and their supporters. This is, however, where we must meet them, and where we must carry the truth to those around us.

Pictures have just come in of the hundreds of people standing in the rain protesting ObamaCare being hyped at an invitation-only town meeting in Bristol, Va. The fact that these average citizens who took the better part of a Wednesday to make themselves heard were left out in the downpour while favored union members, etc. were welcomed inside speaks volumes about who the current administration represents. However, their presence… our presences at our own events… if we don’t grow weary, is a witness to those that would destroy our country that they will not succeed and that their dictatorial ideas will be assigned to the dustbin of history.
