Obama’s Failure to Demand Human Rights, Freedom, and Democracy

They just wanted to talk. They wanted to be heard, and they wanted to know their votes counted. Now there are pools of blood, dead bodies of young Iranians robbed of their futures–robbed to do something great with their lives like establish real democracy and freedom and escape a tyrannical rule. Now their lives have turned into a bloodbath at the command of the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Mahmoud Ahmedinejad.

I am saddened at events like this when the human struggle to achieve what should be granted is denied by a tyrant. Far too many times in my life I have watched people who love freedom die for its cause; yet in my in country we take it for granted. We fail to question our leader’s intentions with the laws they pass that obviously conflict with our Constitution which limits their powers. We watch freedom die in our country as we watch students die in Iran over something we no longer grasp the true meaning of. It’s shameful. Words like ‘yes we can’ hide true intentions, but read the multiple bills that sit before Congress that work to rob Americans of these same freedoms. We should be ashamed that more Americans aren’t willing to fight for what they have and be heard through the walls of Congress.

Then I watch the leader of the United States as he naively continues his desire to talk to these very tyrants without and preconditions. He sent them a letter prior to the Iranian elections begging for improved relations when Obama should have been demanding human rights, freedom, and democracy. We can’t meddle though, can we Barry?

My dear readers, we are witnessing what talking gets you in Iran; after all, what is a protest? It is a form of political speech–talking with mouths, signs, and body language. The results are a bloodbath. I assure you that if Obama gets his way and meets with these brutal savages in hopes to improve relations with Iran without further condemning their actions and demanding results towards human rights, there will be no change in Iran. Obama’s talk will lead to an American bloodbath courtesy of these same leaders. If they hate their own people enough to shove them off pedestrian bridges, shoot into crowds, and kill students, do you think they will think twice about sending a nuclear weapon to our shores. They hate us. The last thing they want to do is talk and change.

Obama isn’t going to change this evil. Obama doesn’t even acknowledge the leaders of Iran as evil. That focus is on Israel. There will be a bloodbath in America one day if Obama’s naive view of the Middle East and other parts of the world is allowed as foreign policy. I am outraged at what I see in Iran, but I am even more outraged that Obama didn’t take a firm stand when this began to go bad.
