The better question for us as Christians is to study how God's people are led into captivity. As we begin to lose our rights and become pushed aside or subjected to the rule of others, we must go to the word and discover the spiritual cause. Over and over again God led His people into captivity for two reasons: 1. They did not love Him with all their hearts souls and minds, seeking after other Gods, and they did not care for widows, orphans, sojourners or seek justice in the land.

You can be mad all you want but days of repentance and fasting should bring a commitment to both of these things equally. Isaiah 58 needs to be studied in its entirety.

Social justice and caring for the poor is at the heart of God's gospel. When we can stop complaining about losing our rights in a country which offers us so much freedom to begin with and begin to seek kingdom living on every level, our light will break forth and God will bless us.

In the meantime, we've sold our birthright by abdicating our responsibilities as the church to our government. Except for God's grace and mercy, we may well deserve our captivity.

More than just the two of you. Here's another Angry Christian checking in. Remember, when Elijah (or was it Alisha?) moaned that he was all alone in the fight, God told him, "I have 7,000 others who have not bowed the knee to Bael". There is a growing army of us out here.
