Does it Ever Come to a Point When…

I watch my country change in front of my eyes. Maybe it’s been moving in this direction a long time and I chose to ignore because I was blinded by a party. Perhaps, it really just started. What ever the case, we don’t have time to debate its origins. We are losing our rights, our liberties, and our freedoms. What are you going to do about it?

Last month I went to the tea party. Less than a month later, I hear key members of the Obama administration acknowledge the anger of Americans, but they don’t get it. This is goes beyond the massive spending spree, a spending spree Democrat Governor Jay Nixon says we will spend the money and pass it on to the children and grandchildren. Nixon’s parents didn’t leave the country worse off than they found it to him, and this thinking isn’t acceptable. This goes far beyond the stimulus spending, the omnibus bill, and bailouts.

Everywhere you read in the paper, more of our rights are under attack. The government plans to use more technology against us. They plan on more taxes, new taxes, green taxes, turning the middle class to upper class taxes, taxes here, taxes there, and taxes everywhere. Taxes destroy freedom making you a government servant.

It’s not only that. They are debating limits on free political speech, more restrictions on the Second Amendment, and rationing health care and removing your right to choose your health care options. At what point do American snap.

At the tea parties, you hear people say they aren’t going to up with an oppressive federal government, but what is the breaking point if the government continues down this road. You often wonder if it’s tough talk or a true conviction to fight for something that is right. There has to be a reason why every time I walk in to a gun shop, its full of people with money in their hands. Many times you see the same bumper stickers on the cars out front. What is the point Americans will be pushed to until they wake up and fight against the direction whoever is in charge is taking us? At what point do we send the leaders in this country a message stronger than a tea bag? A tea bag isn’t going to stop the attack on the Constitution, it’s only going to acquire laughs by the likes of Claire McCaskill, who frequently steps on the Constitution, and has Obama’s advisers whispering in his ear to talk about something else for the moment.
