Finally: McCain-Palin Lock and Load!

With just 29 shopping days until election day, John McCain has apparently decided to take off his gloves and fight Barack Obama’s Fatwa on America tooth and nail. At stake is the right to serve this great nation as it’s 44th president and the future of western civilization as we now know it.

ARCHBISHOP DONALD WUERL AND THE WORLD

Today is the day we run our full-page ad in the Washington Times weekly edition. It is a full-color ad in which we pay tribute to the 16 Catholic bishops who have chosen to protect Christ from sacrilege by enforcing Church law, specifically Canon 915.
In the ad, we ask Archbishop Donald Wuerl ,of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., when he will join with these bishops.

The Ethanol Election Issue

The issue of the nation’s financial and economic security is likely to dominate the November 4 election. Earlier in the campaign cycle we might have assumed that foreign affairs and energy would be uppermost on the minds of voters, but we’re told that, ultimately, voters vote their pocketbooks.

Can You Hear Us Now? (We Said NO!)

The Paulson Bailout, proposed at $700 Billion, has now grown in the Senate to $850 Billion with the addition of absolutely ridiculous “sweeteners” like free bicycles and tax breaks to wooden arrow makers! The Senate has completely lost its way.

Are liberal Democrats the real racists?

Rep. Alcee Hastings, a liberal Democrat representing Florida’s 23rd Congressional District, is a perfect example of the pathetic leadership that has poorly served black America over the past 40 years. His brand of racist liberalism has given this pol a lucrative and influential career where he has perfected the art of exploiting social, racial, gender, economic, religious and political differences for his own Machiavellian ends.

The Beauty of the Scriptures is Lost!

My favorite translation of the Bible is the Revised Standard… and second, the American Standard..
As a youth, in grammar school, I read the bible from cover to cover. The King James edition, I might add. I was enthralled with the beauty of the near poetical rhythm of the scripture as it flowed.

President Palin? Hell Yes!

Where have the months gone? It seems as though the Iowa caucus was just yesterday. Yet here we are less 30 days from the election.
The question is important because so many major issues need to pondered and decided on before November 4.

Of Keith Olbermann, the VP Debate, and Masturbation

MSNBC’s former sports caster turned intellectual pundit and water boy for the DNC, said Lowry’s article, “read like soft core porn,” and concluded, “I don’t really care if you sat there last night during the debate and masturbated. But was it really necessary to tell America about it?”

Democrats “Party of Death”? Vatican Thinks So!

Raymond Burke, prefect of the Vatican’s Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signature, had some rather harsh words for the U.S. Democrat Party recently. Burke told the Italian Catholic newspaper Avvenire that the U.S. Democratic Party risked “transforming itself definitively into a party of death for its decisions on bioethical issues.”

Two Women In Line of Succession for Presidency? Could Happen!

If the McCain-Palin ticket wins the election as now seems highly likely, feminists all across America will have cause to celebrate their empowerment.
Think about it. Assuming that Nancy Pelosi is re-elected, America would then have two women in the line of succession to the Oval Office should something happen to John McCain!

Young, Vibrant Governor Palin KOs Old School Washington Liberal!

Proving beyond any shadow of a doubt that she is the most qualified candidate for the presidency, including Messrs. McCain and Obama, VP nominee Governor Sarah Palin scored an impressive victory over her weak opponent in the debate held Thursday evening.
Despite being handicapped by Gwen Ifill, an Obama operative and biased liberal from PBS, Governor Palin demonstrated in-depth understanding and mastery of a wide range of topics from national security to economic priorities, and in doing so established her superior qualifications.

IS YOUR LIFE A LEGAL QUESTION?

Yesterday, Lillie Reynolds’ grandson lost his life in a tragic automobile crash.
Logan Troy Taylor was living in his mother’s womb, was eight months of age and was somehow ripped from his mother’s womb during the crash. This is a very sad story, as are all those involving the deaths of preborn babies, but this one has a twist to it.

People of Color and Racism in the Voting Booth

Liberals looking for an excuse in the event that the Barack Obama mission fails have declared that the only way Obama can lose is if white racism rears its ugly head on November 4.
According to folks like Jack Cafferty of CNN, Obama should win in a landslide unless millions of bigoted Caucasians use the solitude of the voting booth to release pent-up hatred for people of color, especially haughty African Americans.

Faust, Greenspan and America’s financial collapse

Last week, David Blake wrote an intriguing article about America’s growing financial crisis that, after I read it, inspired me to hearken back to my literary roots.
Perhaps the most significant literary contribution to 19th century Romanticism was the oeuvre by that magnificent German writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832), particularly his dramatic epic poem in two volumes, “Faust” (1808, 1833).

Bitter as Gall

You know, one of the things that trouble me most, these days, is the overt bitterness of the liberals/progressives/socialists among us. It runs like a sour note through a symphony. It spills over in conversations one tries to have with a liberal/socialist. It runs through their writings, too.

Days such as these: Wall Street uncertainties

Our people in Congress who contributed to the Wall Street uncertainties must take their share of the blame. They have been exposed by new media pundits and conservative talk radio. The old drive-by-media will not be able to spin the culprits out of this problem. American voters have sufficient time to learn the truth before Election Day.

TILLER THE “HEALER”?

It seems sort of oxymoronic to read a news report that starts with the following sentence:

A complaint has been filed with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts demanding the emergency suspension of the medical licenses of George R. Tiller and Shelley Sella, whose involvement in a late-term abortion last week nearly cost the life of a 23-year old woman.

What Next? Taxpayer Bail Out for the New York Yankees and Mets?

While Democrats and Republicans in Washington, D.C., worked feverishly to deal with the trillion dollar stinker laid by bankers and investors on Wall Street, the good folks of New York City were fighting a blistering one-two punch delivered by the sports Gods.

Fixing the Financial Crisis Without Socializing the Market

A giveaway of hundreds of billions of dollars is not only bad policy, it is not necessary! Unfortunately, the Democrats have successfully brainwashed the public into believing that the problem was caused by deregulation, when in fact it was caused by Democrat inspired rules and regulations which set up a house of cards in our economy.

CATHOLIC BISHOPS, HEROISM and VITRIOL

So much has arrived in my e-mail recently on the conflict between courageous preaching and the hate speech of those who find religion nauseating that I decided to write about it. What inspires me to do this is that it paints a clear picture of what we in the pro-life movement are up against when it comes to setting forth truth in a world intoxicated with nonsense.

Endorsing Obama: Blasphemy or Patriotism?

Blasphemy is defined as: A contemptuous or profane act, utterance, or writing concerning God or a sacred entity.
Conservatives will regard any endorsement of Barack Obama as blasphemy of the worst kind. Mind you, Obama is not God, but his candidacy threatens the sacred entity known as democracy and free market capitalism.

BIRTH CONTROL MERCHANTS

The news from the reproductive health front is not good these days for preborn children, but is for those who cash in on the sexually transmitted disease, sterility and unplanned pregnancy market. Those who profit on ignorance and pain appear to be having a very good economic surge and are campaigning hard for even more money.

America Will Adopt Socialism… and Die

Apparently, the people of the US have decided that socialism, rather than capitalism is the way to go. The fact that it spells doom for what used to be the greatest nation on earth doesn’t seem to worry anyone except a few of us old “give me liberty or give me death” types… and there’s only a handful of us left.

The Changing Face of Welfare Abuse

Ending “welfare, as we know it” was one of the rare issues on which President Bill Clinton and Republican members of Congress actually agreed in the 90s.
As a result, the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 was signed into law by President Clinton on August 26, 1996.

Why Americans Can’t Get U.S. Oil

Aside from the fact the Democrats in Congress are trying to fool Americans into believing they are “lifting” the ban on off-shore exploration and drilling for oil, the opposition to our domestic oil companies by both Democrats and radical environmental groups lies at the heart of why America is so dependent on foreign oil.

His Finger on Armageddon

I find myself in the group believing Iran will have a deliverable A-Bomb much sooner than our Intelligence community has told us. I think it wise to assume that in a matter of months, Iran will have nuclear weapons. Iran already has the delivery vehicles for those Nukes. Ahmadinejad has told us the target… Israel. In a few, blinding seconds, the state of Israel will cease to exist.

Arbitrary Ideas: Hollywood, Reagan and imbeciles voting

Today, I will borrow an article style from that legendary economist and commentator of American culture and society, Hoover Institute fellow Dr. Thomas Sowell – particularly his column series he does from time to time on various issues of concern titled, “Random Thoughts.” My foray into this genre will be called, “Arbitrary Ideas.”

Is Barack Obama Sufficiently Stable to Lead America?

Barack Obama has paid exceptional amounts of money to have his image crafted by savvy professionals who have made the Democrat appear to be a cool, calm, and collected stalwart with both feet squarely on the ground, unflappable, and always in control.

Gloomy Gus Would Be in Tears!

The 1904 comic strip character Gloomy GusWe learned that Louisiana state Representative John LaBruzzo, a Republican, is so concerned about poverty that he has made a startling recommendation: He wants to pay poor women $1,000 to have their tubes tied, though he did admit that his plan might be a hard sell in the state legislature. Perhaps it is no coincidence that he hails from the same district as white supremacist David Duke.

Are You Scared Yet?

If you are a regular reader of this scribe then you have probably noticed that I have, at least up to now, said nothing about the financial meltdown the US mortgage system finds itself in these days. There is a very good reason for that. Like the average American… I know very little about the financial markets!

F.O.C.A.: FOCAL POINT OF PRO-ABORT FULL-COURT PRESS

Hidden behind the headlines, but rarely discussed in polite company, is the dire measure pro-abortion forces are committed to enacting because the personhood movement has become a real threat to their deadly agenda. Hardly anybody talks about the Freedom of Choice Act these days, but SOME rumblings have started. I am grateful to Cardinal Justin Rigali , Committee on Pro-Life Activities chairman for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, for exposing this danger.

My personal economy recovery program

by TexasFred

This idea sounds just crazy enough to possibly work, so naturally it won’t be given serious consideration. How great is our bureaucracy!!

I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000.00 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
